I had a group of 15 to celebrate a fiends birthday, I went through the event booking team and decided 45 mins private track time for $1350 was not going to work for me becuase I wanted the group to take occasional breaks. I choose the arrive and drive more expensive offer for 4 races each driver. If you do the math that's 4 race x 15 drivers=60 total and 5 race time slots x 12 driver max capacity for the large indoor track is 60 total. Long story short we would rotate drivers and everyone would get their 4 races and have a break. I scheduled for 3, 3:20, 3:40,3:50 and 4:10. The added twist which I wasn't ready for but was easily absorb, one person must have an annual pass to book for weekends(Saturday) extra $15. Done. The track manager proceeded to tell me, I had two options, take the 45 min track time which was cheaper but no breaks or I get no races. His reasoning was the General Manager said so! I continued to advise him that I was traveling from CT and a 45 min event in Boston was not worth the 2 hour drive. I of course requested to speak with the GM who apparently was listening to the last 21 mins of our 1 hour conversation and didn't want me to waste any further of her time (I am an engineer, I am sure my time is worth more than both of them combined, and if not certainly more then the GM). She listened to reason and made the reservations exactly as originally requested becuase I was breaking no rules. On the day of the event extremely rude front staff! Ruined the $1, 515 birthday surprise. The team did require breaks and 4 members couldn't complete their 4 race package because they where tired and hot. Good call on the breaks, kudos to myself, haha. The race instructors where great, having 15 mostly guys racing drew yellow flags at every turn and warnings for practically everyone on the course but we had our fun and no ejections. On a sunny Saturday, there was maybe 5 other racers for the whole time we were there, that in itself is a sign of bad mangement. If you can put up with the front desk to have some fun on the track, this is your venue. Top speed 40.38 mph. Beat that.
