I visited today looking for Dita's. The shop has a range of amazing eyewear all beautifully made and designed. I believe that the owner helped me select a number of designs and it was clear that he is extremely passionate and knowledgeable about his work. For faultless, unpretentious service and stunning products you can't go wrong.
Best staff ever! Free repairing with no charging and even help me clean the glasses. Really appreciate your help and would continue shopping!
Finding a good pair of glasses that fit and suit your style is pretty difficult so after 6 years of wearing a pair of Dita statesman one, I looked to replace my worn frames with something different. After visiting the eye company a few times to try some JMM frames I finally opted for a pair of Molina style. I found the sales and more importantly after sales service of a high standard. One of the gentleman that I met a few times was Paul, who was also able to expertly dismantle my statesman one and perform a complete frame refurb.
The best service, selection, styles... Anywhere else is just a waste of your time.
A team of mainly Aussies, they really think about your glasses and give excellent advice.
They did an urgent repair on my glasses for free! What more can I ask?
Frankly pretty poor. Went instore today specifically looking for Matsuda sunglasses. Lady that "helped" me didnt really seem intersted. Like i was wasting her time. Smile might be nice. Anyway long story short. I went up the road to the Eye Place in Fitzrovia who couldnt have been more friendly or helpful and spent 600quid in there instead. Decent range but service is much more important ro me.
Frankly, I don't know why you would go anywhere else for your glasses! An amazing collection to chose from, genuine customer service and fantastic advice and help. Make your life easy - go here and end up with the best glasses for you. Simples!
This place is off the scale good. Their range of designer frames is large and classy and the advice I got from Steenie, who runs the place, was right on the money, he really knows glasses and how they do or don't compliment a face. He also has an unbelieveble collection of vintage eyewear with the knowledge to go with it. Best optician experience ever, and I'm fussy.
I have been going to Steenie for over a decade. The Eye Company have the best range and style of glasses with No.1 customer service. Go check them out!
I adore this shop. Always such a unique collection of frames and wonderful service every time. I've bought many pairs over the years and always send people in their direction. Steenie and the team are incredibly welcoming.
We visited this shop to purchase a pair of glasses as a 30th birthday present for my husband. Having been quoted a couple of weeks previously, we went in pretty much knowing what we wanted. However, we ended up having a very unpleasant experience, as the owner of the shop commented that he didn't care what we had been quoted by another staff member on our previous visit (despite the fact that it had been written in their book). He came across as very impolite and hostile. I would definitely not recommend purchasing a pair of glasses from this shop - I have never been at the receiving end of such poor customer service. We also found the same pair of glasses in the opticians at selfridges afterwards at a better price, and with much better customer service.

It looks like if you don t match this company s idea of high society you won t be treated well, even if you are a genuinely interested customer.
I have been searching for a particular style of frames for a long time and could not find them anywhere. I was very hopeful of this shop as it was recommended to me for its range of products.
Upon entering, the lady at the reception was friendly and helped me find the style of frame I was looking for. A very limited range of the style I was looking for was available and I tried on a couple frames but they were not exactly what I was looking for.
As it had already been difficult to locate these style of frames I asked the lady at the reception where I could find similar styles.
Realising that I wasn t interested in purchasing from the styles here, her service came to a halt and immediately, without any consideration, told me she has no idea where I could find the style I was looking for.
I then thanked her for her time and left, receiving nothing other than being ignored while she attended to customers that probably fit her bill of the kind of customer she would rather serve.
I will not be returning here, which is a shame as the other staff were much more welcoming and friendly and I am sure upon not finding the style I was looking for anywhere also, I would have returned and purchased them here.
Just went in to purchase the third pair of glasses I've bought from the Eye Co. They have a great range/selection of glasses, and a fantastic service provided by Steenie and his team that makes this the one store I ever want to buy glasses from.
Note on Covid: I felt very comfortable in the store, as only one customer was allowed at a time, temperature was checked, everyone was wearing masks (even visors available), gloves and gel were available, as well as UV sterilisation for the glasses.
The closest thing to a fairy godmother I have ever had. I am not that good with taking care of my glasses so I cannot stress enough how good this service is.
Glasses crushed by friend falling on them? Five minutes later they look brand new with no charges.

Steenie and his staff made the whole process of getting an eye test and chosing the right glasses fun and exciting. You really feel cared for and you walk away excited by your new specs. Couldn't recommend highly enough!
Outstanding service and a very cool place! Brought a lovely pair of Mykita specs from here and go back next week to collect them post lenses fitting. All staff are amazingly helpful and knowledgeable. It's not cheap but the level of service in my opinion makees it worth it. I went specsavers for my eye test and the service was so rushed, felt like I was on a production line!
I visited the shop to have my pair of badly damaged Mykita frames repaired. The team was friendly and helpful. They were able to repair my eyeglasses back to the original condition with little waiting time. The selection in the store is also unique and fantastic - I will be coming here first when looking for my next new frames.
Can't recommend them highly enough. Very accomodating and excellent customer service.

I am extremely grateful for the help give to fix a pair of Makita sun glasses. The owner gave his advice, fixed the problem and showed me how to do it myself. Can't speak highly enough of the service. Great range of frames as well.
I don't usually review companies, but I have to say thay EVERYTHING is outstanding at the Eye Company: choice of frames, expertise of staff, customer experience, even the shop itself feels good.
I bought a frame from them after the excellent advice from a member of staff who has been very patient, very knowledgeable in the brands they were selling and with insightful advice to help me find the best fit for my small face shape.
Although I chose to have the lenses made by another shop (big mistake), they have been incredibly helpful when that other company got my prescription very wrong. I went to them for advice and they took the time to explain to me what was wrong, and I learnt a lot about my prescription which will help me in my future purchase of lenses. I can't thank them enough and I would recommend this shop to anyone in search of the perfect pair coupled with an outstanding customer care. Well done and thank you!
I really don't know what all the fuss is about the receptionist with the long hair was unhelpful and rude. Perhaps she was having an off day or just couldn't be bothered to help me ....

I had my eyes tested here, and bought some nice eyewear. I have only recently just started wearing spectacles, and find the whole thing daunting. I decided to treat myself to something better than the poundshop specs I have been using, and tried this place. This is the high end of eyewear providers. I could have gone to something more middling but decided I wanted something really good. I believe I have got it. The mid range shops are a bit pushy and rushed. here I got great service. The guy who runs the place really knows his stuff, and gets the balance right in terms of ideas to consider.
Really really pleased with the 5-star service provided by the Eye Company - nice people with a real dedication to serving customers well and advising on the best solutions for your eyesight!!!!
