Had to take my daughter in law to the er cause she was pregnant and bleeding. We waited almost 4 hrs to be seen!!! There were people walking in that was being taken ahead of her and every time we said something we were told that there were other people that were in more serious shape then her!!! This is totally ridiculous!!!! You shouldn't have to wait that long to see a Dr in the er!!!! We will never come back again!!!!

They ve billed me twice and not just once, multiple times. The doctor doesn t understand when I repeatedly say I can t take a drug and still tries to prescribe something I can t take. They have no idea what they re doing and I would send my worst enemy to these people.

I came in on a Sunday night with chest pain shortness of breath,dizziness etc and was completely taken care of.there we're a handful of doctors,nurses and techs in the room and I can't remember all of the names but my nurse Amy took great care of me and helped put my mind at ease during this stressful time.Dr.Carr told me what I had going on and even drew a picture to help me understand.staff was all great and super polite.The rooms are as private as they can be for a quick emergency visit.They didn't have a cardiothoracic surgeon unfortunately so I have to go to Charleston but otherwise I would have stayed.great team.Thank you all so much.

I'll gladly go to Marietta Memorial Hospital before I even consider touching base with Genesis in ZVILLE!!!! Was a patient there in 2016, unfortunately, and that never would have happened if I hadn't of been SO SICK and was coherent enough to tell Paramedics NOT to take me there!! I had no help starting in the ER, I was so weak couldn't stand on my own, and I needed the bathroom but 2 nurses held me down in the bed and wouldn't let me up, so I soiled my clothes and they laughed at me!!! Whole stay was like that, 5 days! ~ DONE.

Brought my aunt in and they kept her overnight. Came back the next morning at 9 AM and the doctor still had not been to see her. We asked for a doctor several times all morning but one wasn't called until 11:45. At 1:40 PM we are still waiting.

I will never go back, which I am certain does not ...

I will never go back, which I am certain does not bother the management at this hospital in the least. First nurse was wonderful and a male nurse we had was fantastic. Then my wife was ignored for 3 hours and they could not wait to discharge her, to the point where aftercare was not even mentioned. Dr. Jakubowski has no people skills whatsoever and I would not take a family member to see him even if I had no other choice.

Worst cafeteria ever!! It says its open but they only really serve for about an hour for breakfast lunch and dinner. Between those times its just basic cooler nothing, salad bar and pizza. When they are serving a meal its left out to get dry. It really is some of the worst food I've ever eat. And the prices for the horrible food are crazy high. I mean its really really bad. And to top it off very little variety.
Now for the hospital itself. At first on a more technical floor it was pretty amazing. Then they moved my loved one to a regular room and we were beyond disappointed with them. We couldn't go home because they would just let things go. They also had a horrible attitude. Very disappointed in them.

They can Never figure out what is wrong! I always end up having to go to Columbus. Every time I say I'm never going back to Marietta Memorial this was the last time. Then call you the next day and ask you to come back.

I had quadruple bypass 14 months ago and saw my heart doctor 10 minutes 12 months ago. I've had very high blood pressure for 6 months now as high as 205/130 and just a week ago finally got them to call in a blood pressure meds. So far it not working and I still have 2 weeks to go until my Dr appointment with my heart doctor.
I tried to get my family Dr to do something and he ordered tests but still no meds for blood pressure.
A week ago I went to the ER for high blood pressure and I didn't even get to see a doctor. I did find out I was coming down with Shingles and was sent home with instructions for that but no mention of high blood pressure.
My blood pressure as we speak is 190/120
If I have a heart attack or stroke and die my family is taking legal action.

The quality of care and excellence needs to be add...

The quality of care and excellence needs to be addressed and improved from most of the staff , sanitary care and care for the patient. I found that treatments and care was reactive not proactive. For this , I will address my concerns personally. Keep an eye on the staff that cares for your love one.

Update: Monday 3/11- A notification letter was received from MMH looking into my concerns.

A mixed bag at BEST. You go in, you never know if you're going to get a competent, compassionate staff helping you or you're going to go through a nightmare of bungles. First time I had a gallbladder attack, they stuck me in a back room in the ER with no call button and no pain medication for 6 to 8 hours. It took 3 more ER trips before they even diagnosed the problem correctly. And it seems like they're forever shunting patients off to OSU in Columbus because MMH "isn't equipped" for this, that or the other.

Please do not ever put your loved one here, especially the mental health unit. a close family member was admitted here. i understand down time and being on your phone. What is not ok when you put alarms on the beds to babysit for you. plus when a patient comes into the room and gets into bed with someone for a half hour at that before they finally came and got him. then they lied and said my family member was on oxygen and when i told the nurse i just left from here she said oops i guess it was a mix up.needless to say my family member was out of there the next day. please find caring people who find joy in their job not just payed babysitters, esp when the patients need it most

Rude, Disrespectful, & Incompetent are the NICEST ...

Rude, Disrespectful, & Incompetent are the NICEST words that I can use to describe this hospital. Recent visits have been worthless and wrong diagnoses. The most recent visit we came for help and they forced loved ones to leave the property. Can you be any lower?! Not to mention they lied about it and gave no reason, only demanded leaving the entire property. Worried sick about a family member in critical condition and you demand family LEAVES!? I don't know how you're still in business but I hope your company burns in hell for how you treat people that come to you for help. It's nothing but despicable.

Very professional care and very clean facility. I have observed that the staff here actually like working here. As compared to Camden Clark and Cleveland Clinic, it is vastly superior in personal attention and communication. The coffee shop is very nice and has a courtyard with tables outside if it s pretty outside. The cafeteria needs an overhaul. I d bet it s on the agenda. They are currently doing construction projects on the 4th floor, but you can hardly tell from inside. Also, the parking garage is in process of a multi-year fixup.

My family has always had a pleasant experience here. The wait time to be seen has never been very long at all. They're great with setting you up with follow up care and or with a specialist. Top pick for my family's emergency health care needs.

MMH have to be the worse hospital in the MOV, doctors and nurses don't care about patients health doctors and nurses laughing and joking at the nurses station and making fun of patients grow up and take your job serious or change your career path. What a joke!!!!

The care is good, the staff is caring and most of the doctors are kind and explain themselves and thier actions thoroughly.
The emergency department wait times are rediculic but most of them are and as for the food it's not very good and over priced.

We had THE Best experience tonight at the ER. My 19 month old daughter was sick and had a fever. First they took wonderful care of my daughter but they also were so gracious in helping keep my children comfortable and distracted with stickers, teddy bears and popsicles. They went above and beyond in the way they made us feel comfortable in our room and in the timely manner in which we were seen. Excellent caring staff! We were in and out in an hour and a half.

I can not recommend the ER. The doctor could not even answer questions. The good point I was seen fast. I would give the Belpre Ohio ER very high rating 5 out of 5 but last time I went there was about 3 years ago. But Marietta I think needs some fixing

Extremely knowledgeable, experienced and caring physicians. The hospital is adequately staffed and always available and genuinely concerned about your wellness. The surgical staff here deserves 10 stars. Parking is close and free. The wifi, beverages and device stations are also free. These folks are more than a five...we give them 10 stars!

Poor quality of service. Did not know I had to pay a copay of $200.00 until I was in a room and they demanded payment before treatment. That was poor communication should have been told before I even went back.

My dad recently spent 4 stays both in ICU and regular care and unfortunately passed away in their hospice care there and i would like to say a heartfelt thank you to every single person we dealt with there from the housekeeping personal down to each and every nurse and Dr that took care of my dad, i feel that he was very much cared for there and my mom while she was there with him they also helped to keep her comfortable while she was staying there with him, so again many heartfelt thank yous to MMH

I ask where on this paper does it show to send bank statements???? Well, it doesn't say so on the paper, but I should already have known better........... I say that's total crap!

1st. Billing was EXTREMELY rude in telling me I had no options in paying my bill.
2nd. I am constantly relaying messages between billing clerks, and the "hospital itself"... (I don't work there)
3rd. On my 3rd round of applying for any sort of payment plan...with harassing phone calls daily.

Did I mention the bill is only 1 month old?

Only after calling each "billing center" and basically laying it out step by step, did I get a note on my account that I am attempting to make payments. -_-

DID I MENTION THE BILL IS 1 MONTH OLD?!?

The assistance programs are garbage and have lost my application twice...I'm currently waiting on a "paper form" to try and apply again.

At least in Parkersburg they took my $, MMH would rather see your credit ruined I suppose.

I think everyone there was really nice during my visit, even the hospital doctors. I do not like the idea that I can not have my own doctor see me in the hospital. I had three different doctors while I was in there and that was for 4 or 5 days. I would hear something different from each doctor. When I was discharged I got all this information on what was going on. I had to do a follow up visit with my regular doctor and he had something different then what was told me. I took him the paper work of the information that was given to me to my regular doctor and its confusing.t I do not like the idea of having different doctors every day. You are told something different each day. I know this is not a decision of the hospital, but part of the Obama Care. I hope since he will be leaving, so wont this Obama Care.

They never submit my bills to the insurance company for claims before they bill me and they don't provide patient insurance info to any outsourced doctor's offices or labs . This is on purpose because they want to trick people who don't know they have to call their insurance company about the bills into paying in full and going on their payment plans. That is a very scummy and dishonest business practice. It has happened every time I've received a bill without fail and I am convinced they are running a racket on unwary patients. Don't pay them a DIME before you call your insurance. I know a lot of hospitals are probably like that but not all of them. MMH are just crooks.

My father recently spent 3 days in ICU and passed away. We were so blessed with an incredible, caring nursing team during this difficult time. Shendra was with us all 3 days, along with her student Courtney. They were understanding, compassionate and kind. They explained everything patiently and answered all our questions with empathy. Angela was on night shift. She too was wonderful and caring. Thank you for being there for us, Shendra, Courtney and Angela. Bless you.

I have been consistently paying on a medical bill ...

I have been consistently paying on a medical bill that my insurance would not cover for over a year. In the past year, I have yet to have a phone call answered without being put on hold. Just this week, I have left 3 messages requesting a return call (Due to the fact that they have that option when you call, stating that they will call you back within the same business day). I have yet to receive a phone call back.
Since I have not received returned contact, I tried to make an account online to view my bill details there to get the answers I was looking for; A message appeared after entering my info stating to wait for a confirmation email with my logon information. I waited just over an hour and still haven't received an email. So then, I call the help desk phone number provided just to have them take my name and number and tell me "They'll give you a call when they can get to that". I asked how long it would be and got "I really don't know" as a response.
Every time I DO speak to someone, I never get the answers that I'm looking for, medical bills and accounts seem to magically appear and they "don't know what service it's for" or there "aren't any details in our records" of what payments were made, what services were, etc. on top of the fact that they're constantly and consistently rude with me; despite the fact that I stay calm through their incompetence.
I am completely fed up and disgusted with MMH and will never go to them for any future services and highly recommend that others find somewhere else to go as well.
Their billing department is a joke and they're completely unprofessional and uneducated.

I had neck surgery 7/12/16 Dr Khosravi --neurosurgeon is absolutely the ( I can't even find a good enough word to describe him ) He had to have been sent from heaven. BUT ,the Marietta Memorial Hospital is THE PITS ! I had two horrible experiences ,one was they put me in a room that an older lady was admitted ,her son came with her they got into a fight cursing and she stunk to high heaven,had a fan going and complaining she was cold,all night it was pure H*** I had no sleep since recovery and it is 2:00am I kept asking nurses to move me ,even the floor nurse ,said they didn't have any rooms ,in the whole hospital ? she said yes. At 3:30am finally got one with another lady then couldn't find nurse bell ,call maintance ,had to go get new one,at 4:45am got to sleep after 14 hrs. of no sleep after surgery. Get home and find this huge bruise on my left shoulder,I remember a nurse asking what happened but I was so out of it I forgot until I got home,have no idea what happened but the shoulder hurts and it shouldn't,surgery had nothing to do with it .wish I could send pic....

The negligence and carelessness of Memorial Health System continues..

We have a family friend who works at the hospital who saw my Dad's items a week ago, bagged up and with his name on it. He mentioned we were looking for them to the nurse and she said "I'm taking care of it."

Well, guys, an hour of being transferred around the entire hospital later, his items are still missing and no one has contacted us.

Bravo.

So completely mind blown at the carelessness of MMH. We have been trying to track down my father's personal belongings since day 1 of this entire ordeal and I just got the official call they lost everything. They didn't log any of his personal belongings, which included very personal and important items. His shoes were on the ground in his room, and they didn't even log those -- items we personally saw.

Apparently when you are in the process of complete and total shock -- with your mind scrambled -- facing the potential unexpected loss of a loved one who is about to get life-flighted, you need to pay attention to the every move of an irresponsible hospital.

So disgusted, so appalled. I'm glad I don't live in the area because I wouldn't want sent to any of these hospitals locally.

"We don't keep things that are cut off." Well apparently you don't keep things that aren't cut off, in pockets, or otherwise on their person.

I'm a case manager and have never worked with a hospital or group of doctors so unwilling and unconcerned with patients health. I even went as high as administration to try and solve the issue. That was even worse. Never would recommend this hospital or any doctor in this system. EVER!

Stellar. Dr. Cawley and nurse Dianne (never got her last name on 2nd floor) did an amazing job with my father in law David Keller. Not only did they treat him as if he was family, they took care of us better than any hospital I have been to. Highly recommend this place if you have the option.

For anyone to complain about this hospital, they should go to the University Hospital in Ravenna Ohio to have any credibility in complaining about any hospital. Marietta Memorial is the best, fastest, and absolutely the most professional. Magruder in Port Clinton Ohio is a good decent and professional hospital too. I'm going to try Cleveland Clinic in Twinsburg next. Maybe the pro's can teach University Hospital how its done!
