If you're visiting San Francisco and you have a city pass this is best experience that my 8 year old and I had out of the different activities included. Compared to other science centres we've been to in others cities this is a real stand out.

Lovely place, perfect for family or small group. It is advised to go there with multiple people because some activities need two or more people to work together. Help you understand sciences better. You will act, think and see, hear the science. We renewed our membership multiple times.

This is a great place to explore and learn about human and animal anatomy, laws of physics and matter. Great for adults and for kids. Tactile dome is really interesting and first thing I did when i went.

I worked at a private event held at the Exploratorium.
There are so many interactive exhibits that the guests were not only entertained, but learned more about scientific principles as well.

Many people believe that they will get bored in this museum and it is the opposite, I think you will feel like many adults who look including me, that you go back to the time of child, where everything you wanted to touch and explore. They will love it

Had a blast so much to see and do. My son did not even mention xbox the entire time we were there. Need to schedule lots of time to spend there. Tactical dome is worth the extra charge. Bring lots of hand sanitizer as there are only 2 bathrooms making it difficult to wash hands during the day while touching items shared by hundreds during the day.

Too many kids.

More adult days please!!

This a great family location that allows for hours of fun. Even my young children had to be pulled away at the end of the day because of all of the options for fun. Every exhibit is interactive and every time you turn around you find something new.

Returned after years to some old memories and lots of new exhibits. Parking was easy across the street for $20 and was not too crowded even on Saturday afternoon. My 8 year old son and my inner 8 year old both had a blast!

Wow! Such a great museum! You could spend there all day (which I did) and still don't see and try everything available. It's a great place for kids and the my really enjoy trying everything (even small kids, ages 3-5). The restaurant has reasonable prices and the food is pretty good.

If you go there, plan a full day of you want to explore everything available... Otherwise you might not be able to do so. Admission could be a little lower,... But it's okay.

Here you learn by trying science. One marvels, laughs and forgets the time! Admission was included in the San Francisco City Pass, and even as an adult, you have a lot of fun and entertainment.

This is one of the most popular museums in the city. We didn't think we would spend so much time there! This is a real experimental laboratory. Look for Pier 15, a great hangar by the water!

This place is amazing! Just went here on my kid's school field trip and it was awesome. My son is 7 years old with autism and he enjoyed this place so much. All the displays are interactive and sturdy enough for tough little hands. The staff is friendly and helpful and there are instructions by every display. It's a pretty big place with lots of different activities that even adults will enjoy.

Excellent fun for all old and young. 3yr old had a blast, lots of buttons and interactive science exhibits/stations. Restaurant inside more like a fancy cafeteria, a bit over priced but still delicious healthy options available. We spent all day there being one of the first to enter and last to leave and still didn t do everything. The shop had lots of interesting items too.

Great experience. I went for the 18+ night on Thursdays from 6-10. It was great. They had beer stands. Since it was all adults every one wasnsuoer respectful. The outdoor exhibits were fun but next time I'd get them done early when the sun is out before it gets cold. There was so much to do. I got a little tired half way through and left. It was $20 bucks to get in which is nothing. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Lots of fun science exhibits both inside and outside. Make sure you check out the sound chairs, the maze on the south side, and the misty bridge on the north side! The ant exhibit was the best one on the inside of the museum, with some interesting information about living biology.

Spent a whole day there, and could've spent another! The exhibits are very interesting. We arrived right when it opened (on a weekday in September) and there was almost no crowd. After lunch (didn't eat at the museum due to ridiculous prices), it got a bit more crowded, but we were lucky it didn't detract from our experience. A must see!
