I was with my kid as part of school field trip. Good place to learn some physics concept like reflection, sound, vibration, lenses etc. You can touch the exhibits. They have good place to take lunch. Overall good to spend couple of hours.

Pretty fun. A bit pricey if you're paying, but it's likely free if you work for a large tech company (or if you're the guest of someone who does).

Would be great for kids. Open late Thursdays which makes a good date night.

One of the most fun days experienced overseas, the exploratorium is definitely the most interactive and informative science museum I've ever visited. Highly recommend for kids and adults alike, lone and group travellers, there's enough to appeal to everyone who loves science, colours, sounds, nature, weather and more.

I miss the old location. This one is nice but the Palace of Fine Arts felt so much more impressive. This feels like they crammed the exhibits into a space that was too small and not suited to the task. Still very interesting but somehow less grand.

If you're visiting San Fransisco with kids, you have to go here. This place is perfect for kids of any age (toddlers through trends) and i can assure you, you'll feel like a kid again when you step inside. There are a number of different stations here that teach you about any number of your senses.

The Exploratorium is a San Francisco landmark and the new location is pretty great. With more space, good food, and views of the Bay, this is the place to take kids or embrace your inner geek.

So much fun! I could have spent all day there. Wish I had gotten there earlier. We had kids ages 5,7,10,and all of them had fun. The exhibits even distracted me from my feet hurting! lol

This museum is great and I like that they've moved to a location that's closer to those working in the Financial District. I've been the Exploratorium After Dark on a couple occasions and it's so much fun. No kids around and you can drink inside. The exhibits change from time to time and it's fun to get in touch with your science-y side and explore!

Lots of interesting exhibits, best for upper elementary to young teen kids. Plan to spend at least a few hours. The monochromatic room is incredible. Kid friendly food options are quite limited but the coffee is great. Look at the website for discounted parking information.

Countless stations demonstrating mind blowing scientific discoveries. Nice revamp in this new location right on a SAN Francisco pier, with all the views that implies. Great sites to see for kids and adults.

Went to an After Dark Thursday night event (9/12) that is adults only and had a blast! Great Bartender (didn t get his name but he wore a fedora and gauges) great staff in general, all very friendly and knowledgeable. Lots of activities and hands on experiments. My only wish is that I had more time because there was some things I didn t get to yet, however that just gives me another reason to return! Completely loved my experience. Great vibe, great people, phenomenal activities and learning experiences. If you like science or fun activities I would highly recommend.

Amazing! So much fun and things to do! I don't know a single person that has been there and said they were bored after a while. I would highly recommend getting tickets for the tactile room!

Excellent science center. It covers a lot of important concept of physics and biology as well. There are a lot of varieties of interactive mechanical displays. This is one of the best science center I have seen.

If you like science, you'll love the Exploratorium, especially for those into physics. Suitable for all ages - young children will find the exhibits to be "toys" with plenty of buttons and levers, older adults will appreciate the reasons behind the physical phenomena. Features a workshop where you can see them make the actual exhibits, which are always changing. Well worth a visit, and if you're local it's well worth a family pass.

We went there as a homeschool trip and it was amazing!!!! They had a program about getting in for free if you use the BART, however, I think it's very well worth the entrance fee that they charge! There are LOTS of exhibits! We were there the whole day and I don't think we really saw everything! The cool thing is, it is truly an "explorer" museum! You can touch and try everything. You don't even need to whisper! A very educational and fun place! We went with kids ages 4-12 & everyone enjoyed it. We are going back again soon!!!
