When we moved workspace last year, we were told that the only communication company we could use in the new office was Excell.
At first I wasn t happy about not having a option. Plus the price was treble what we paid our old provider. However:
The service has been worth the extra cost. Everything including moving the line has been simple.
They even seem light years ahead of other companies with regards to technology. The have for instance a APP which means I can use the office landline from my mobile when working remotely. This is fantastic for any business that works off site. The connection to the internet is solid and never any need to reboot anything. Basically we can t fault them.
Sure they are more expensive than other companies, but you get what you pay for and any serious business shouldn t scrimp on communication.
Generally pretty useless. Workspace Group plc should reconsider their telecoms provider for all their sites. Workspace Group plc have an agreement with Excell where you HAVE to use Excell for all internet/telecoms as part of your office lease agreement. Excell provide voip phones which are lower quality and have less features than competitors (e.g. RingCentral who we used before and loved, but weren't allowed to continue using because of the lease) and they charge above market rates for all of their services. And we as the customer have no choice but to use them! Being forced to pay above market rates for lower quality service is completely insane, and I'm not sure how it is even legal. I have no problem with paying for quality, but being forced to use a provider who can't get simple instructions right and provides expensive low quality versions of everything on the market just because they have a money making agreement with a landlord is at best a joke and at worst insulting.
The 5*'s are only for Ryan Bass and the way in which he dealt with us. We have had a lot of problems along the way and I cannot say that the 5* is for Excell in general and certainly not for the product/service that we feel we were initially mis-sold. However, Ryan does deserve to be recognised for his excellent customer service and keeping me in the picture at all times and helping us to eventually get a better (not brilliant) broadband service. Thank you Ryan for your assistance along the way and if even better broadband options ever become available I hope it will be you that we deal with.
Ryan and his team have consistently provided an excellent service. Always prompt to respond and always helpful with the information we need. Its a pleasure working with Ryan an Excell.
Ryan was excellent. Arrived on time and set up our new connection very quickly. All working as expected. Very pleased with the service.

We used Excell for internet and phones for our business and they were helpful with 2 of our recent office moves due to expansion.
Generally our account manager understood our requirements and made moving a lot less stressful. They also offered advice for our other sites across our network.
When we could contact them the engineers were helpful but need to improve on getting back to us.
Against BT I would rate them much better.
We have been a customer for over 5 years and I would definitely recommend Excell. They provided a fantastic and smooth transition when we moved to a cloud based telephone system and continue to provide support through a dedicated account manager and efficient helpdesk.
Advice for anybody thinking of working at Exell - DON'T!!
Unbelievably unethical company who have refused to pay money that I EARNED whilst working there after I have left.

If I could give this company 0 stars I would. The company is so unorganized and fail to communicate between teams. We have been given wrong invoices, poor service and no communication since day 1 and it has taken over a year to fix issues which still haven't been resolved. We requested to cancel our account months ago and still receive bills from them. Stay away from this company.
Responding to excell : no we asked to cancel back in June and this was never done. We called daily and emailed.
I have worked with the team at Excell on numerous occasions and have to say how impressed I have been and in particular with Ryan Bass.

Initial dealing with Excell were slow but once account manager Tom took over everything happened quickly and his communication was second to none. I would highly recommend Excell to anyone and advise requesting Tom to handle your account. Very happy..

Excell have looked after our telephones until we moved offices recently. Their help, particularly with setting up call diverts over the period of the move, has always been excellent - efficient and stress free.
Ryan has been instrumental in the planning and coordination of our phone migration.

Woe betide anyone who has the misfortune of having to use this company. We're forced to use them at our serviced offices. We've been here almost two months and our phone number still hasn't been ported. Impossible to underestimate.
In my experience Excell have proved knowledgeable and supportive.
Totally useless company ...customer service is non existent. Forced to use them as part of the contract with the landlord Workspace ....i was with BT before ...never thought i'd say this, but they make BT look good!

Just had a new lease line put in - a bit of a process as always, but down to errors at the BT end not Excell. Ryan's support has been excellent, with regular updates, always available when you need something and not afraid to escalate things up the chain when needed. Would have been good had they been able to challenge BT's initial incorrect assessment, but can't blame them for not being able to override Openreach inaccuracies! Thanks and have every confidence it will work fine going forward

This star rating is for Ryan. Ryan has been key to the successful delivery of our new cloud based IPT platform. He is very approachable, and likes to chase things from his end to help progress projects along. Top team player so top marks from me.
Worst company for support! Out of phones and internet for days and wasnt taken serious!!! Leaving workspace for that reason!!! Enough is enough
We have supplied and worked with Jessica and Sebastian at The Excell Group for a number of months now and have to say that they are a great team to work with. They are very prompt with their replies and information and are an all round great team!
