Took my f150 in for a/c repair. Quoted a couple of hundred more than a local business but I thought it would be worth it to get genuine Ford parts since the first ones lasted 175K miles. Told it would take a couple of days, turned out to be 7 days. Every time I called they never gave me a definite answer as to why. When I finally picked it up the brake warning light and check engine light were lit. Check engine was a throttle body issue that is common on these which typically can be fixed by a good cleaning (they wanted to charge me $1500 to replace it) and the wheel sensor that went out was on the wheel/side they had to pull to get to the a/c compressor. They took no responsibility for that but quoted me to repair. Don't bother, will never be taking my vehicle in there for service work again.

Lupe Gaona is an awesome sales person. He goes above and beyond to help you and ensure stay within whatever budget you are trying too. The process is also fast. This was the best car buying experience I have ever had. I recommend getting your car from them no matter if it's a drive.

I would 10/10 recommend this dealership to anyone looking to purchase a car or use their service department. My husband and I were stranded, broken down many miles from home and desperately trying to get to see our daughter graduate from the military. They worked with us to determine how they could serve us, they were not pushy, they were extremely helpful, they went above and beyond. We were able to be with our daughter and celebrate her achievement. We did not miss anything and we were treated with respect. Thank you Excel for your amazing customer service!

Excel Ford of Carthage has officially stolen my ve...

Excel Ford of Carthage has officially stolen my vehicle and sold it to a customer without my consent.

After dropping off my 2004 Ford Focus when my transmission failed back in February, I expected to get my car fixed and returned to me. I was on my way to Shreveport for work when this happened.

The service department informed me
that it would be $5000.00 for a new transmission. I was transferred to the sales department to see what my options were after telling them that I was not going to pay $5000.00 for a new transmission, because it is clearly overpriced. One of the sales representatives, Mike Emanis, told me to send in the title of my car to Ford in the mail. He said the best they could do was have "the crusher yard next door buy my car" and that there was not a better deal than that. He later called back and told me I was only able to make $141.16 off of the vehicle and that they would send me the money for the car after they received the title. After almost two months of waiting and several phone calls to the manager of the dealership, I finally received a personal money order from Mr. Emanis, so, I called the dealership to inquire about why I would receive a personal money order instead of a check from Ford and no one would take my calls. The manager of the sales department eventually answered and told me that this was a "personal problem" and that I needed to take it up with his employee on my own volition. I eventually
accepted that no one would help me find out the information I needed and let it go.

I have since received a letter in the mail from the Texas Department of Motor Vehicles saying that my 2004 Ford Focus and matching VIN number has been driving around in San Marcos, Texas without insurance and that it
could affect my financial situation if I do not take care of it. I have never lived in San Marcos and I am clearly not driving a supposedly crushed car. I had to buy a new car because I was told it was $5000.00 to fix the Focus. I have called the dealership several times to ask why and how my car would be possibly driving around since the transmission had failed and the car was allegedly crushed a couple of weeks prior.

The manager then informed me that Mr. Emanis has quit the dealership and that this is not their problem. I have attempted to contact the owner and the receptionist informed me that "he doesn't really come in much" and when I asked the next time he would be in,
she giggled and said "I don't know, he just comes in when he wants." She then transferred me back to the same manager who told me he would call me back. To my surprise, no call back. I have not been able to get through to anyone at the dealership since that day.

I have informed Ford Headquarters and they said they would look into it for me,
but I am still out money that Mr. Emanis sold my car for. The dealership is clearly covering up a scheme and I am so disappointed in the customer service, lies and theft that has occurred.

I drove my car into this service department. They told me they would run a diagnostic and call me. Well they called and told me they found the problem and it was going to cost 1540.11 for the parts and labor and I could pick it up in the morning. Well the next day they said that part didn t fix it and it was going to cost another $5500. Ask them why they told me the the first price and now they are saying that was just a starting point. None of them mentioned a starting point. They didn t fix my car and I still had to pay the 1540.11. They have terrible customer service and Terrible managers that aren t helpful at all. Bad business practices. I suggest going to anyone but Excel Ford in Carthage.

Nevermind sales and service, these people can't even deliver when it comes to simple requests such as emailing pictures and a Carfax. 3 calls amd 4 emails later, where's the Carfax? Doesn't exactly inspire confidence to move on to the next step in purchasing a Ford vehicle.

I always get my annual vehicle inspections done here. There's usually just a short wait time, and if they find something that fail inspection, you can get it repaired right there to bring your vehicle back into compliance, and then be on your way!

Purchased a 2009 Chevrolet Silverado for $18,995. It only worked for 3 weeks. Was given a loaner truck after multiple calls and visits while they fixed the vehicle. The loaner broke down. Tried talking to the owner and never got any returned calls. Unfortunately I financed through their company. It s been a year. I never received the truck back. And have been hassled non stop about making payments on a truck I only have for 3 weeks. I poured $2500 down and made 2 truck payments in that time frame. Do not trust these people. Do not go to this dealer. STAY AWAY !

Recently, we purchased new Michelin tires from Excel Ford, and had additional service. They did a great job in ordering our tires, mounting, balancing and aligning our Lincoln. Every visit to their dealership is met with a winning attitude and a willingness to perform above average repairs on every car they accept. We have utilized Ford-Lincoln/Mercury dealer service in many states, and Excel Ford of Carthage is by far....the very best. We highly recommend them to any Ford and Lincoln/Mercury owner.
