No idea about the hotel, but the casino was fun to walk through and the spot book area was chill. We had been walking all day and just need a place to hang out after eating dinner at a casino next door. Ended up at the sportsbook area and played a few rounds of Keno. Nice seating with good TVs. Looked like a fun place gamble. Also noticed that it had an arcade for kids downstairs that looked just as fun as the adult games upstairs. Probably a good spot for families.

A difficult hotel to rate. Has some bad points, but good value for where it is.

Review is for the 'royal' room with king bed.

Pros:
- on the strip
- great air con
- clean
- big bathrooms
- comfy beds
- cheap (ish)
- great service
- good views
- Can request a mini fridge if required
- Mini bar is locked
- safe in room

Cons:
- small room
- old and tired
- air con sounds like a jumbo jet
- no medieval theming to room
- non smoking but still had that 'stale' smell to it.

Would I stay here again? Maybe. Especially if there is a big convention on and everything else fills up. But some of the smaller hotels a street away from the strip are better value I'm the 3 star range if you don't mind the 5 minute walk.

My low rating is due to awful pricing and check in procedures. Rooms are average for the price (old but clean). The problem is that you need to be ready to upgrade your room at the check in desk to get your room on time. Otherwise they do not guarantee that you get a room at check in time. You are left waiting for a text message with no information on how long the wait time is going to be. We waited almost two hours past check in time all the time assuming that soon we'll get our rooms. Eventually, kids were too tired and I asked for cancellation after which they suddenly were able to find rooms.

We were already tired at check in time. After spending two hours soaking cigarette smoke in the lobby our night plans were pretty much over. I will never want to visit MGM Resorts again!

When we checked in we decided to upgrade our room for $10 extra a night. Then they applied the resort fees and it ended up being $85 total. We paid. Stayed our first night. Then on our second night we tried to go back to the room for a nap and suddenly our key didn't work. We ended up having to go back to the front desk where they informed us that THEY messed up when we checked in and we still owed $120 in resort fees. I of course had to pay it to gain access to my room with all of my stuff in it but this has put a damper on the rest of our stay. I keep wondering what else is gonna go wrong that we'll have to spend money on to fix? I just want to enjoy our honeymoon. I just don't get how we still had to pay for their mistake. Not happy.

Lorenzo Jimenez has been the most helpful employee. It has been my first trip to Vegas and because of him I will be coming back to Excaliber hotel. A solid employee who has been here for 28 years, he is a major part of why this hotel is so successful. He deserves a raise and more. Love him he s the reason why I m Here

No refrigerator or microwave in the room I was in and it was an upgrade. That really put a dent in our night once we drugged ourselves to the room because there was no food. We would have nowhere to store it or hear it. Got there and saw a big black pill on the floor. Called house cleaning they came and came and came and never cleaned up the black pill. That only showed me that that hotel don't clean well. Other than that I was a great place to lay my drunk head down.

Excaliber is one of the classic hotels still standing. It's one of my favorite places to go and is child friendly. They have a mid way for kids to play games. They are also known for their tournament of Kings show which is absolutely amazing! They are also popular for their restaurant "Dicks" I always make it a point to stop by here when I come to vegas

Not bad but not great. This is pretty much an average hotel. It is clean and the staff is friendly but it is probably time to start thinking about an update. There is a lot to do an see nearby and the pool is nice but by Vegas standards the hotel is just a little lack luster.

We visited the Excalibur to watch the Tournament of Kings dinner theater. The performance was incredibly fun, and the food was great. The performer representing the country we were seated with stuck around to take pictures with the guests (go Hungary!) dinner was served before the show. I would definitely recommend this experience.

It's a very beautiful hotel most certainly very nice people good atmosphere very nice workers but I feel like they need to work on their customer service because one they gave away my room that was reserved for two nights secondary I ended up only staying one night because they didn't tell me about the deposit though I had to wait a day and Miss part of my reservation then I have to stand in line for a long on the second day just to get checked in even though I was a Rewards member. Of time the casino floor is nice itself but you have over five sections during this time and only three servers on this whole floor serving over 300 people I didn't find a server until I was almost done bedding honestly then when we found when we ended up waiting for about like an hour and a half maybe two hours for our drinks over all the environment is nice the hotel is beautiful but there are some things that they do need to work on and honestly I did not like my first time being at this hotel hopefully my second experience will be better and they'll treat rewards members right and say everything that is needed before check in and what deposits needed to be there

I will never stay here again. 200 a night with resort fee. They took out the little refrigerators in the rooms. Carpet is gross. Towels you can see through. Pool closed internet doesn't work. What is the resort fee for? I wish I could give it zero stars.

This is my go to hotel. They have an awesome sports book there and love playing blackjack and roulette there. My first time there I got a regular room with 2 queen beds. It was nice and clean but recently I stayed in the royal suite and it wasn't as clean. The shower had hair in it, the sheets were stained, and the ceiling had stains on it too. I was pretty disappointed after paying so much money for a suite and it not be clean to normal standards.

Rooms were not up to date. Upon check in the did not put us in the room type we reserved, the offered for us to get upgraded for a $50 charge/night. After explaining this is not what we reserved they got a manager to find the correct room to give to us without charge. Our group was not put in even the same towers to it was a 15-17 minute walk to the other rooms. The elevator broke twice during our stay which was very inconvenient as it was soooo busy. Mostly disappointed with the room quality for what we paid and how the front desk staff dealt with it.

This is a fun place to gamble and eat well ... only at Dicks and Tournaments of Knights. I have never stayed here though. I have heard the horror stories and seen the Youtube videos and once walked by a long line checking and I swear it looked like a prison chow line. Now you may think I am being harsh and rude but I promise that it wasn't an exaggeration. If you have kids for almost the same price I'd stay at Luxor! They kiddos love the sideways moving elevators, the slanted rooms and they are fascinated by the pyramid inside shape of the hotel. Or you can spend a little more and go to Mandalay which is basically a kids dream resort during the summer.

I have always had a good experience here. Low price for rooms and right near lots of other things that I enjoy. Staff has always been great and have addressed issues anytime I have had an issue. Plan on going in a couple of weeks again I was comped a room.

Like everything in Vegas, it's big! The ambiance works with the name. The buffet was mundane, but while other hotels around the country do not charge guests for use of guest computers, Excalibur does! $7 for 7 minutes! Also, most of the staff, either in person or on the phone were surly to down right rude! We made the mistake of trying to use a luggage cart and got yelled at like kids coming home late (sorry, Excalibur, not everyone can afford to stay somewhere with someone who buses your luggage - kindness and patience go a long way).

Started out the cashier rounded up the cost of the hotel room.. no explanation... didn't even advise until it was caught while paying with my card. The room was mediocre at best. The hospitality was garbage unless you had time to take their tours. The room cards didn't work in the elevator half the time. Won't be staying here again.... even if it is more economical

We rent for the weekend but the truth is, I didn't like it at all, it seems that the rooms are not cleaned, it is too dirty and the towels even with hair, the bathroom furniture dirty, I do not recommend it at all, it was a small but very dirty room and they don't even check the box strong there were chocolates with canabish very bad

It is Vegas, when you go there, you do not go to stay in the hotel. So, yeah it was a good stay, clean room, comfy beds. The casino was just downstairs. That's basically all you need.

Good place to stay. Near all the rest of the hotels. A little noisy as room faced the strip and even 21 floors above, could hear the loud motorcycles at night. Also could hear the people next door having sex, or at least hear her. ;) Buffet was just ok. Nothing special. Good place for families.

I loved the show we went to see (tournament of Kings). The only real issue I had was the bathrooms. While they were mostly clean, some stalls had toilet paper on the seats and still in the bowls unflushed, and they didn't smell the cleanest.

Fantastic place. Great for families and adults alike. Attend the tournament of kings if possible. Amazing show and well worth the price. The servers are kind and will do anything to make you happy. The dinner is amazing and the excitement levels are through the roof. Always a stop when we visit Vegas.

Definitely a good hotel, stayed for 4 nights and had wonderful service as well as good prices and a definitely good casino. Unfortunately because of covid the shows are canceled and all restaurants are reservations only but it's still Vegas. The rooms are clean and housekeeping daily if you prefer that. Otherwise it was well worth it. Will be returning.

This was a nice casino. Please note: having not stayed at any others in Las Vegas before, take my review with a grain of salt. It was a very clean hotel room and a nice overall casino experience. The pool was a bit small and crowded and has a ridiculously early closing time (7 pm) but the shops throughout the casino were convenient and fast. Check-in was a nightmare, with the attendant having massive difficulties finding our reservation, despite booking directly through the website, and the only complaint about the room itself was the bathroom. It is interconnected to the bedroom, and hey, that may be someone s thing, but certainly not mine. A curtain would be nice so if you re rooming with a friend, they don t have to leave the entire area so you have privacy. There were less scary people hanging around outside this casino compared to others, which is certainly a plus. I felt more safe here than in other casinos.

It was a good stay. Cleaning services were on top of things, and there was a variety of bars and casino games to choose from as well. Hotel guest services were cordial and on quick with help as well. Would stay again!

It was pleasant, room nice, housekeeping did good job. Quite a walk from parking structure to rooms and guest surfaces. Casino isn't smoke free, but nicely done. I did feel a bit held up with food pricing. Food court donut sm w/filling $2 added a milk (20oz)$5.39 total for both. Later stopped at snak shop on way to rm. 20oz Pepsi $4.50. The 7-11 bought 2 2liter bottles of Dr Pepper only $3. Wow they are truly inflating prices knowing getting to your car is a journey. Probably should of given it 4 stars!

#weekendgetaway very clean and comfortable . You cant compare the Venetian and the like to this hotel . You get what you pay for. I on the other end, was totally satisfied.
The Deuces (public buses stops right next to the excalibur) and the Tram services are amazing. Will definitely stay again!

This hotel is fine for what it is, probably the cheapest place to stay as close as it is to the strip. Also very close to the airport which is convenient. Rooms are a little run down. Everything about the stay was fine, though. No complaints.

This review is strictly about the rooms. As far as I can tell the only updates that have been made in at least 23 years (that date comes from the fact they do not have low flow toilets and they have been mandatory for commercial remodels since 1 Jan 1997) is the carpet and beds. The rooms are dark, lack mini fridges, still have popcorn ceiling, you can see the unpatched holes in the ceiling where they pulled out the swag lamps, the TV is flat panel but non-HD, chipped tiles in the bathroom. The only plus was it was clean.

Rooms werent clean and smelled like smoke despite being nonsmoking, 1 tiny bar of soap for a double occupancy room, got charged over $300 for one night, there was no coffe maker, microwave, minifridge, or anything in the room! I was completely abhorred, 10/10 will pick somewhere else to stay next time!

I would give 5 stars but. Rooms on the economy side had moisture in them. The temperature controlled air conditioning left the room either how and moist with the windows fogging or close to ice cold. Which I only remember because of all of the rain. The staff were all very nice and not too pushy. It s allot to take in as a first timer. But loved every bit Loved the location and connection with our nearby hotels.
Ps. They do not offer microwaves or fridges standard.

Rooms need some updating but overall it's a nice hotel. The Excalibur offers many things to do and see which makes it a great choice for a place to stay in Las Vegas. An overall good experience. 3 out of 5 stars, in my opinion.

Out dated , room was dingy, two floor lamps didn't work ,left table light, only light in room, the two chairs had the stuffing showing through, the blind would not come all the way down, people could easily see in, put suitcases on windowsill to block view from onlookers, maybe we just had a bad room, but talking to others, it is the norm. Had a few issues with billing, but after finding someone who could talk and speak English, that was straightened out and the pool was pay to be in the adult pool and pay for a lounge chair. The Bee Bee's show was very good. Check for Veteran discount, you have to ask.

Great place to relax! Floor waitresses were HORRIBLE! RUDE, with poor attitudes ABSENT! Waited over an hour while we were playing slots. We had to go searching for one asian night waitress who took our order but didn't come back for two more hours and took our drinks orders again. Rooms were too prices for the night.

I primarily visited Excalibur just to get through from the Luxor to New York New York. It is one of my least favorite hotels on the strip. Designed to look like a castle, the exterior lights up at night and is kind of pretty, but rather than an elegant castle it looks like a child's play castle. The inside layout is confusing to navigate and not particularly interesting to look at. The entire place feels fairly cheap compared to the rest of the strip hotels. Just passing through was plenty for me.

Came here for a wedding, stayed 4 day. Hotel was nice, beautiful! We loved the show tournament of kings, food is expensive, but alcohol is free in the casino.
The shampoo is trash! They do not give you conditioner, no fridge, no coffee pot, you pay extra for all that. I would stay again though.

Great atmosphere and $5 blackjack tables. If your new to Vegas and wanna learn the best game in town this is a great place to start. The building is beautiful too, it's almost cartoonish but still has a heir of class that can be banked on. If you are gambling the drink girls are not super fast but there are a lot of them so you should be fine. Definitely shop your tables so you find a dealer who wants you to do well. Some dealers couldn't care less about how you do but some actively want you to do well and will walk you through the correct bets. Definitely coming back any time I'm in Vegas!

Overall very friendly and welcoming staff, room was clean and bed was comfy. Only huge disappointments were the time share sales people constantly asking you at every entry to come talk with them, and secondly the lunch buffet paid over $20 per person and had very very poor minimal selection at 1:30 in afternoon, 2 soups and salad bar was good but as far as main dishes not much choice, left over breakfast food was the majority, the only meat was breaded fish and cold cuts! Save money on buffet and grab food elsewhere.

Four of us stayed here for four nights. It is huge hotel with nearly 4000 rooms. Constructed in 1990 with Europe Medieval Theme, the hotel is right at the strip with walking distance to all other joints. The casino is crowded buzzing with activity all the time. The room is nice, well maintained and clean. Over all a pleasant stay.

It's only been one night, out of 3, but so far...the room is decently decorated. The hotel and casino are reasonably clean in the public areas. Unfortunately, there is vomit stain and smell in the carpet of our room and the ice maker on our floor is out of order. Also, be sure to avoid the sales people around the hotel.

The room is not cleaned yet in the first time and front desk asked me to wait for the housekeeping to clean it. But when I go into the room again, it is still not totally cleaned. There is four uesd glasses and the shampoo left by the last guest in the washroom. And the shower is not hot until morning. Maintenance didn t take it seriously and call me three o clock in the morning.

This past April was the second time my husband and I have stayed at the Excalibur. The first time was on our honeymoon, and this time was for our fifth anniversary. It was just as special this time as it was last time! The whole hotel is lovely, clean and the rooms are quiet. We had a great view of the strip from our room. The price is just right if you are on a budget but still want to be on the strip. We were able to walk directly to the Luxor, or take the tram down to the Mandalay Bay. We were also in walking distance of the New York, New York (by raised walkway over the street), and the MGM Grand. This was important, because we were able to catch the tram that goes from the MGM all the way down to the convention center.
We had a great time at the pools (splurging on the umbrella and reserved chairs at the adult pool was totally worth it!), and the spa was a refreshing and relaxing experience. While we don't always come back to the Excalibur, I know we will be staying there again!

Stayed at the Excalibur on a weekday in the royal tower. The room was great for the price. Looked newly updated. The casino was a clean, fun atmosphere as well as the arcade. We are breakfast at the casino buffet and was not impressed, I would say this is the only part the casino could work on.
