Excalibur Hotel & Casino Oct Review

Very nice and more options for eating than the Luxor.

Great casino hotel on the south end of the strip. Rooms were clean. Hotel is getting dated but is kept up and overall was very enjoyable. The Italian restaurant on the upper legal was amazing and the buffet was great also!

Big rooms and reasonably clean. However, low standards.

The location is ok but also at the end of the strip. Opposite there is a petrol station where you can buy drinks and snacks relatively cheap.

I would recommend the Circus Circus which is cheaper, but also at the other end of the strip.

Rooms are always clean and comfortable. Lots of food choices at affordable prices. Very large casino with a great variety of slots and table games. The staff are awesome all the time. My casino host Kumiko (and all the other staff in the VIP lounge) all go above and beyond to help whenever possible, And i am not a high roller by any means. Haha. Lots of security on site always. Only complaints i really have is the food in the buffet is not very good and the casino floor could use more beverage servers at all times of the day. The new Hans Klok magic show is very good. Great arcade for the kids.

My girlfriends and I explored the Excalibur but didn't stay here. The exterior was really cute, the hotel looks like a castle and even included a moat. The interior was awesome as it looked like the interior of an old castle. It was a bit run down inside but it was a cool experience to walk the casino area and see the exterior. Plus they sell jello shooters at a small bar by the rear entrance - pretty good and well worth the $8 for 3.

It's a medieval themed hotel with good restaurants and shops. An underrated feature is relatively fast wifi for hotels. I'm able to get around 10mbps up and down.

Staying here for two days due to the weather in Colorado

Its unique outside and average inside. Not the best location on the strip so we didn't spend much time experiencing the casino.

Stay here has been good so far. Excellent and friendly service at check-in. Rooms are looking a little dated with worn tiling but rooms were clean.

The hotel was okay. It was definitely older and not updated. The room didn't have a desk or anywhere to work. But everything was clean and functional and the price was right. But you can stay at a nicer property for no much more.

I would give 4.99 if I could. Really, the only problem is the annoying time share people that get Hella rude of you say not interested. Other than that, this was an amazing 20th!

No security to the elevator to get to your room. Anybody can go up. They are right by the doors. Bathrooms need a upgrade. Slots were good. Overall good times.

Not the best not the worst. Definitely feel the effect of the close down. Nothing hitting no one around me hitting.so done throwing money away.

We saw the Tournament of Kings show. The show was fun and dinner was great. Only down side is it was very expensive, but that was to be expected.

This is one of the least expensive places on the strip. Basically you get what you pay for. Gambling is more affordable than most others on the strip. Big place; but that comes with a lot of options on site and a lot of walking.

Best Family vacation spot!! Love the room, love the fun dungeon. Food court on top floor with great selection and nice big pools. Kid friendly

Perfect 'budget' accommodation in Las Vegas. Close enough to the strip to walk anywhere but close to the bus if you don't want to walk. There's a good choice of food, rooms are nice, big and clean. There's a wedding chapel and shops in the hotel. There's also a fun dungeon for those not into/too young for the casino.

0 stars if I could. The room we reserved wasn't ready for 2 more hours, so they stuck us on the 1st floor with a view of a wall and some rocks. They never cleaned our room let alone the dark hallway of whatever section we were put in, until we called to have them clean. Thankfully not our first time in Vegas but definitely our last time ever staying here.

Very nice and clean. The machines are tight. Better to play downtown on Fremont Street.

It's an older Hotel on the Strip, but they are in the process of renovating it. We stayed in the area of the hotel called the Resort Tower that has not been renovated. We paid $200 for the room and we felt that that was too much to pay for a room that had not been renovated. Be careful about going to the food and coffee shops inside Excalibur. The Starbucks are owned by the hotel and the mark-up on the coffees is quite significant. A couple of breakfast sandwiches a coffee and a tea will set you back about $26. The Excalibur was only about $30 cheaper than other hotels further down the strip such as the Monte Carlo, now in the process of becoming The Park. For the extra mark-up that you pay in the food and coffee stores inside the Excalibur, you end up losing that $30 anyway. So I didn't find it any cheaper staying there and the rooms were quite a bit lower standard than other places on the strip we have stayed.

My husband and I were in Vegas about a month ago and stayed here. We have stayed at this hotel in the past and knew what to expect. It's one of the older hotels on the strip. We usually have a good experience here but this trip was kind of a mess. We had trouble with our room cards. We had to have the hotel re-magnetize them twice and still ended up with only one card that would open our hotel room. That wasnt a huge deal to us. However, we noticed while showering the first day what appeared to be a smear of vomit on the shower wall. We also found a small smear on the bathroom sink. Needless to say we were grossed out. We didn't complain to the hotel, instead I told the maid who came to our room that morning and she cleaned it up right away. Also, our ironing board was broken so we had to lay it on the bed to use it. We usually stay here for pretty cheap so I feel like, we got what we paid for. I think that was probably the last time we will stay there.

Very nice room and service for its price. Recommended.

Always a fantastic place for that couple get away or the whole family. The Excalibur has it all. And the employees are always happy to see you.

The lowest end of the last Vegas strip. I don't mind all the kids running around, it's just the amenities of the room are very bad and there is absolutely no table service for playing. We were there for 3 hours and a woman came up to the whole table of 10 ppl one time.

I didn't actually get to see the tournament of kings but of what we saw of this place is was awesome. They have a game room for kids that is huge,a food court. The casino part is pretty cool. Love that the building is shaped like a castle and its connected with Luxor and Mandalay Bay. Spent most our time in these three places and the parking is awesome. Loved the moving side walks. This is an awesome place check it out.

I really wanted to like staying here. First time guest here with my son and right away noticed an awful smell walking into the backside of hotel that never went away the duration of or stay. The smell remained even lounging at the pool it was unpleasant for sure. Only one pool, the smallest one out of the four, was open to guests, water was super cloudy, didn't seem very clean. Then there was the roach in the bathroom that was chilling out on the side of the toilet and let's not forget the body hair that was left behind in the shower and the collection of dust all up in the bathroom vent. Y'all do have housekeeping right?

Loved this place. So beautiful and had a great time.

I give it 4 stars for the quickness and politeness of the staff, the rooms smelled a lil funny but not bad, the buffet could have been better, the pool is great. The gambling is fun there and the price is right with mlife rewards. Thanks for an awesome stay!

I liked it here. The castle theme carries well through the casino. The ceiling is tall and it's not too crowded.

Poor quality hotel. Cheap price for overnight, but this reflects the quality and service. Only interested in casino and spending money on machines. We had issues with blocked sink which took too long to resolve.

So much family fun! The bartenders were nice at every stop as we made our way through to the Fun Dungeon. My daughter had a blast running around playing games while my husband was able to drink a few beers. Nothing better than having a terrible experience at Circus Circus then having EXCALIBUR save our vacation! Thank you!

Stay here every time we visit. Clean rooms and close proximity to everything. Plus a great price.

Decent sized rooms. Clean beds and bathrooms. What more can you ask for. Casino floor was a bit bougie. Parking wasn't an issue, but the hotel is about 20 minutes walking from the strip.

The food was amazing...lunch portions were amazing and our waiter was extremely patient and knowledgeable about the menu....ask for the waiter Stewart you won t regret it

Excalibur hotel is one of my favorite Las Vegas hotels. They just finished remodeling the buffet and the steak house is worth every penny. It's been around since before 1993. I remember going to their steak house for my 16th birthday. :)

Nice medival themed hotel. The hotel is wonderful to look at from the outside. Inside is ok but doesn't match up to the exterior. Good location along the main Las Vegas strip. Has plenty of shops located inside. Also, there is the train linking it to Mandalay Bay and The Luxor which is good.

So I stayed here because of a wedding in the city. Everyone was friendly, parking was easy to find and the hotel itself. The room was ok but then I got a great deal on it so I was happy. I did do some gambling and that was cool but still it was a place to spend two nights at and it did it s job very well. I only took a star off because the look of everything is a bit dated. It all had a casino look. I know that s something maybe bugs a few people like me.

Good value for the price. Make sure you book a room in the Royal tower not the resort tower

I liked the moving floor that took us into the hotel. Best part of the whole place. The arcade was closed.

Nice views, plenty for kids to do. Large arcade, not too pricey and hey, the slots pay out. Pools stay packed but it was hot and the bar outside in the pool area was a nice touch. Little man loved the rides and the elevator

Stained carpet, wallpaper pealing, a lamp that didn't work at all.

It does the job for south strip with a nice pool, easy access and fun on-sight things to do.

My room had a strange oder, and us outdated, The casino is a bit congested with too many machines. It's hard to see the signs that hang from the ceiling. So I was always going in the wrong direction.
Camelot steak house was AWESOME. Best steak I had in along time.

We had a problem with out room not being clean. But once we asked for it, it was done the other day. All in all it's good place and casino is good. They had nice shows as well.

Pleasant place - nice and airy without to much smoke filling the place! As casinos go it's themed (marginally) and all generally quite nice.

We are here in Vegas we booked a room here for 4 days we didn t like the resort or the room looks like they don t care about how the rooms are getting clean and they don t offer nothing not even a bottle of water not even if you want to pay they don t have anything on the room good thing is that Excalibur it s right in the middle so everything es close by, we move to Mandalay they are Sisters company Excalibur let us cancel the last 3 days at not canceling fee, More expensive here but we are happy.

We went to see the Tournament of Kings at Excalibur. Had loads of fun with dinner and a show. There was a lot of audience participation. Definitely woukd recommend to anyone looking at it to try at least once. Tickets are pricey though so shop around for cheaper tickets if you can!

Very old style on the inside smells like cigarette smoke all the way up to the room I was in on 26th floor. Slow service. The outside looks awesome though! Parking sucks!

Love this place! Its very affordable, free parking, on the strip, has connecting bridges to New York, New York and Luxor. We have stayed here multiple times just as a couple and now with our little ones. The staff here are friendly. They have masks at entrances to the casino and numerous sanitizer machines throughout the casino floor. Also a handwashig machine in the middle of the casino. Every other machine is blacked out to keep social distancing. The arcade is open as well and on the second floor they have a few restaurants open. Also Buca De Beppo is located in here and is open as well. We enjoy staying here and will stay here again.

We enjoyed our visit here. The hotel front desk personnel seemed cool and indifferent. There was a lot of security on bikes poised at the entrances. The maid service was excellent. Overall a great stay. Photos from hotel room.

We ate at Camelot steakhouse. Everything was really good except the the blue cheese au gratin potatoes. The were greasy and gluey and terrible.

The hotel needs and update especially with the plumbing but the 3 stars is for the service and cleanliness housekeepers are the bomb

Meh... Guess you get what you pay for lol. Needs updating bad. Not sure what I got for the $30 resort fee?!?! Just seems like a cheap way to charge you more money. Staff were pleasant. I upgraded my room and it didn't look any different and my view was a concert wall and roof :/

Excalibur hotel is old but there do very good job for taking care of the room. We take our daughter here, she just love this hotel. Also we plan to go out on new year 2019 on the strip and this hotel really make it easy.

We had a wonderful trip, but would appreciate more hours at the pool, and more supervision of people's kids, you shouldn't have to pay for an adult pool to avoid getting hit in the face in the jacuzzi. Also they need to let people get high in the adult pool area.

Not my first time staying here, but will definitely be my last. Booked on booking.com where the customer service was above the roof. Although when I showed up to the hotel they were not able to find my reservation because I put my gf as the guest and it was under her name. They recharged me twice and made it seem like we messed up and did not know what we were talking about Angelita. If I had not drove 5 and half hours here I would have drove back right away. Or stayed at another hotel but I already had aligned everything with Excalibur. We reserved a king bed and they gave us two queen beds. Walls were thin we can here both neighbors even at 3am. Expected a lot more especially for being a returning customer.

Good if you're on a budget. It is at the start of the strip near the airport. BUT place is run down, main floor reeks of 30+ years of stale cigarettes trapped in the walls and carpets, no fridge in room, saw a cockroach in the lobby.

Always a fun time. Staff is amazing. Casino is not so expensive and the beverage service is better then most when on slots. The just re did the rooms and they look much better then what it used to be. The pool area is very clean and big enough for large crowds. The bar besides the pool is pretty cool and laid back. If you are a part of the m life program this casino is one of the ones where you can get points for purchases and gambling. Just ask the person serving you on how. I always get rewarded with low cost rooms or free buffet passes.
I haven't tried the club here yet but it seemed to be very successful by how busy it looked. This casino is linked to New York and Mandalay bay casino. So it's very easy to walk across the bridges or just take a tram to either of the hotels. Enjoy your stay. I sure did!

I was visiting the Excalibur to watch Tournament of Kings. I loved the interior design because it followed the theme of a castle as it does in its exterior. You can tell they clean their casino carpet because at the entrance, the whole hallway smells like a nice odor eliminator powder

They have reduced the footprint of the poker room and moved it closer to a bar. Both of these are great improvements. Good job Excalibur.

The hotel was great. Staff. Not so much. And the pool is garbage. The hotel has over 500 rooms and about 50 chairs. The rest you have to PAY FOR ($40 -$200) not to mention the $10 dollar fee to the adult pool. Pool opens at 9. We got there a 9:08am to wait in line and we still had to steal a chair from the closed pool. After moving our own chair the staff asked us to move! Oh I forgot to mention 2 of the 4 pools don't open until 10. (Where there is a line as well) I picked this hotel specifically for the pool. Regrets.

Great value for the room. Its 3 star relative to other locations on the strip. Nothing wrong with the rooms, service or gaming floor, but not as posh as some others. se the app to check in.

The room service was so great. Very nice women working there. However construction going on the entire time during our stay that we hadn't been warned about.

Good hotel at a good rate. The staff was personable. Clean. Had a great stay. No complaints.
