I love this place! Atmosphere, service, the people; everything is excellent and the quality of hair care service is exceptional.

I honestly don't know how this salon got 4.2 star!! Please avoid this salon. I went to evoke salon on bloor west. They did my root colour not even bleaching and they burnt my scalp very bad!! I'm under medication and antibiotics. I can't go to work as it's painful and I should use all the creams. I wasted so much money and my hair. The doctor and nurses were shocked when they saw my situation. Please avoid this place! If you're looking to burn your hair and your scalp this is the right place to go. I can't stop crying and I'm so furious. My hairdresser was phlip.

After about 15 yrs, I found Jon again! Jon had stopped cutting hair way back when so my family moved on to other stylists throughout the years - always remembering Jon. He is great with people and we always received compliments on our hair - even from strangers!. I happened to remember seeing the storefront on Bloor some time ago and then it disappeared! After finding Evoke on Google and noticing Jon was taking appointments, I immediately booked spots for both Mom and me. It was SO great to see him after all these years and we're back to feeling and looking great again! What was even more heartwarming was that Jon remembered us! The salon is in a great location. It's cozy, bright and the staff are super friendly and professional. So very happy to be back at Evoke!

First time client and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Booking the appointment online is simple and easy, the salon is super clean, they have all the necessary precautions in place and the staff is welcoming.
Jon took his time with the consultation and listened to all my concerns and addressed them. He was professional, fun and gave me a haircut I absolutely love! Definitely recommend this place.

Helen is awesome. The receptionist is awesome too. They're all awesome. Coming from a bodybuilder who is usually feeling out of place at salons. They're really good at making you feel at home.

I hadn't been to the salon in awhile. Helen did an amazing cut as always. Helen is fun, and a very skilled stylist. She listens to her clients which I value immensely! The reason I haven't been to the salon in some time is not because of the quality and service, rather due to being on a budget. Everyone is great and I do recommend evoke if you are looking for a salon in Bloor West Village.

I've been going to this salon for years and absolutely love it. The stylists are awesome and the experience is great (I'm a huge fan of the scalp massage)! I used to go to Evoke at Yonge and Eglinton, but since moving to the west of the city, I now go to their Bloor St. location. I would highly recommend this salon (both locations) to anyone!

This is an amazing salon in Bloor West. It is convient by public transit and there is also parking on the street . The receptionist is friendly and helpful - I get offered coffee or tea at every visit. Helen is the stylist that I see and she is AWESOME. I would recommend this for anyone who is looking for a new salon.

I've been going here for over 3 years now and always amazing service. Staff is super-friendly and great product options (including Oribe). Susy has been doing my cut for last 2 years and she's definitely my favourite!

Bright clean salon with a nice atmosphere...very pleasant stylist who listened and did more than what was asked. I like my cut and will come back again.

I went for my first cut this month since Covid began, and their Covid-19 measures are air tight! They had an online health form for clients to fill out prior to arrival, then upon arrival they had procedures with temperature checks, hand sanitizer, socially distanced seating and high sanitization standards.

Aside from this, I have been going to Helen at Evoke for about 4 years now and every time I see her, she exceeds my expectations!! She is not only lovely and extremely skilled at what she does, she is also great with giving her professional advice while taking your needs into careful consideration. I have very straight Asian hair, and I can be very particular about it is cut and layered, but she nails it every time. All the other staff is also genuinely lovely and professional. Thank you, Evoke!!

Great cut friendly staff and they always throw in a bit extra for service. like drinks and snacks while waiting a facial and/or head massage. the only thing is its quite expensive, from 40 to 70 dollars for a men's cut. The owner is a great guy and his staff is picked for their ability and character and that area can pay for those prices so it makes sense.

I had one of my best haircut experience with Susy the other day. She was great and super helpful with how to tame my curls! I will definitely be going back to see her in the future.

Giovanni is the best colorist in the city. Awesome attitude and mad skills. Owner John does a bad ass cut too. You're missing out if you haven't gone here yet. Worth every penny. I'm a firm believe in you get what you pay for, evoke sets the standards.

Great friendly staff. I ve been trying out different salons to find my go to hairdressers. I finally found Lindsay and Helen and they are amazing. They were so knowledgeable and patient with all the questions I had. I trust them with whatever they do with my hair.

I think it s the same price as other high end salons, which sucks for me because my hair grows fast and I like to change my hair colour frequently, but it s worth it.

Also they give you popcorn and drinks which is great if you re gonna be there for hours.

Suzy was great! I had asked for someone who did really well with thick hair and she delivered. I have very thick, coarse hair and she thinned and cut it perfectly. She also gave me perfect bangs for my face which is something I wanted for a long time. Overall she did an amazing job.

I went for a stylist consultation and being a new Mom one has lot of questions when they go for a haircut. I am so happy that I chose them as John was very informative, friendly and went overboard to game me an appointment on a very short notice. And YES, love their espresso:)

Took my son there for a haircut and was not disappointed. Clean, professional and courteous staff. Was very happy with the hairstyle Wendy gave my son and so was he ( son has very thick hair and a lot of it). Would recommend.

I went in today for a haircut as a hair model for training stylists. I had never done this before and had no idea what to expect. Everyone at Evoke Salon just blew me away with their kindness and knowledge about all things hair. Jon was so patient when he taught Wendy (who cut my hair and did an amazing job). It was such an interesting experience to learn about all of the things that need to be taken into consideration before cutting hair. Even though this time, I wasn't a paying customer I still felt so valued. I will be going back to Evoke for all my further hair appointments.

If you are looking for a hairdresser, this is your spot! Jon cuts my hair and each time does a fabulous job. He truly cares about his clients and how they feel when they leave his chair. He explains everything before it's done so that you have a good understanding of what and why he's doing what he does (offering tips on styling etc). Most recently I had impromptu highlights done by Lindsey and she took my drab looking blonde hair and turned it into the most beautiful, natural, and fresh looking colour I have ever had! Aside from what the staff can do with your hair the salon creates a great atmosphere offering hot and cold drinks, popcorn, warm towels, and lovely head massages. The little extra they do for their clients goes a long way. Each one of the staff is super friendly and goes out of there way to make you feel at home.
I would highly recommend this spot for cut or colour and the price is well worth it when you leave feeling like a million bucks!
