Received a terrible service here today.
When I arrived for my pre-booked appointment and called them, I had to wait 10 minutes outside only to have the receptionist say that they ve booked 2 people for the same time slot. Since the other person was already in the chair (I was on time), I was told that I will not get my appointment. The receptionist said it s the computer s fault but they could take me 6 hours later on the same day.
I booked my appointment online and was on time. It was nice to find out that they don t monitor their online bookings to make sure that everything is ok. I received both email and text messages to confirm everything from my end. They didn t call me in advance to cancel or reschedule the appointment and they didn t try to accommodate me since the whole situation was not my fault coming again the same day isn t helpful. It takes me 40 mins on TTC to get there and I spent all this time on commute because I liked my hairdresser. It is very disrespectful of others time to just turn people to the door and assume they have a whole day to spend on getting a haircut.
Sorry to say that I won t be coming back there and will have to find somebody else. I hope they will at least start checking their online bookings.
UPDATE: I went back to the salon some time ago and am very happy that I did. The owner and Helen, my hairstylist, got back to me very quickly, and Helen even offered to book the next appointment for me. As promised, they didn t charge me for the haircut and gave me a free product of my choice as well (which was an extremely nice gesture!). The haircut was, as always, amazing, Helen really is the best! I very much appreciate how they responded to the confusion with the booking, it speaks much louder for the salon and people who work here than the confusion itself. I will definitely keep going there and highly recommend!
