Excellent hotel. Crowded but very well organized and priced. A perfect start for exploring Amsterdam :) breakfast was oky lacking a little variety concerning veggies and fruits, but it was clean and organized as well. We used the kitchen once... It was quite an adventure to find everything you need but wr managed to make a good spaghetti Bolognese. Never again! You better get yourself something to eat in one of the stores around, or on the way. But be careful. There is a Lidl within walking distance and a store next door... Better walk to Lidl as the store is not only crowded but very expensive in comparison!

The hotel rooms were prepared very nicely, they had multiple sockets to charge our electronics.
They also had a free kitchen that they shared with the customers. On the reception floor (ground floor), they had many games for the customers to play e.g. snooker/pool table, football table and ice hockey table.

It's kinda big, and the kitchen could make it bigger because at times when you want to eat there's a lot of people...if you have big luggage should consider stay all morning till entering time. 25 min to the city.

We stayed for 4 nights and were on a low budget, so this was the perfect option for us.
The rooms are clean (and small, but we didn't mind since we were only there to sleep anyways). The staff was friendly and helpful and the biggest plus in our opinion was the guest kitchen. We could make our own food every night and save lots of cash!
All in all really fun, only downers are that we couldn't open the windows and that the mattresses weren't the comfiest ones.

The staff at Meininger's was really friendly and very helpful.
In my opinion the hotel could have been cleaner. We stayed for 3 nights in a 4-bed-dorm and they did not change our bathrug once. The room was nicely furnished but there was not enough space for all our luggage. The matress was really uncomfortable and saggy. What also bothered me was the fact that we had to buy a lock for the locker. They could have told us in advance, then I would have brought my own and saved 5 . The Hotel is very close to the station which is great, but you still have to pay like 5 a day to go to the city center. Walking is not possible. Check out was fast and easy.

Hotel has alot of Small rooms with little space to move around in them. We had a party of 3 and to be honest it wasnt far off a luxury jail cell. The pillows were like flat pancakes but other than that we enjoyed our stay. The staff are great and the bar is well stocked, location isnt bad for travelling into amsterdam but limited options around it, plus theres alot of beggars that seem to hang around near the hotel and constantly blag for money.

Inexpensive, clean and nice staff. Only breakfast could have a little more choice. Right at the train station and the tram station. Line 19 goes directly to the center. All in all perfect for a city break.

The Hostel was a hotel. All clean and ordenated. The room was comfortable and the shower perfect. Wi-Fi worked in the room. But, the kitchen was too small for all the people, and the histel was far from the city center.Breakfast not incluided, and expensive 7.9 euros.
