We fiance and I are looking at wedding venues and are considering the Estancia. It has nice grounds and the service is great. Being in La Jolla I was hoping to have ocean views but unfortunately not.

Beautiful hotel with several great options for dining. Champagne at check in, bottle of wine in your room. Rooms are nice and every one has a balcony. The staff is wonderful and the hotel grounds are so calming. We live in SD, and we would go back for another "get away."

This is the place to relax. Time seemed to stand still. The staff was great the food and wine was incredible. The rooms were very clean. I didn't get a chance to use the spa but I'm sure it falls in line with the rest of the accommodations. First class.

I love this place. We stayed here, and it is soooo awesome. Most comfortable beds ever. The food is amazing. The pool is great. The estate in general is so nice and the garden is amazing. This place is fancier than the pictures show. I cant wait to go back. I give this the '"one of the nicest establishments in San Diego"' award.
Note: I only give out one 5 star review per 50-60 reviews. And I am very brutal as a 6-7 star badge on google.
ESTANCIA ! Pat yourself on the back, you've earned it and you deserve it.

For the price I give it a 3. Parking is $32 a day which was not disclosed to us until we checked out. The parking lot sign said "Public is welcome" then listed prices. It never occured to us that using the guest key card to enter was considered Public. Don't bother opening the complimentary wine bottle, it was undrinkable. A standard room is called an "upgraded room" and does not have a balcony. Pool and gardens are nice.

Lovely place to stay. The only problem with my room was it was right next to an exterior door which kept banging as people came in and out. Very comfy otherwise. Carpets in the corridors could do with replacing but the grounds, staff and food is amazing!

Wedding!!!

My beautiful bride and I had our wedding at this venue. Staff was friendly and accommodating. I cannot say enough good things about this place. We are already planning on returning for our one year anniversary. This was our fairy tale wedding and we could not have asked for more.

We did a wine and cheese tasting at Trinitas. The wine was excellent and we had a nice variety. The cheese plate was lovely and had an assortment of fruit as well. The bartender Arash was knowledgeable about the history of the vineyard and wine and he provided excellent service. We had a fabulous time.

Thank's, for your awesome services, I am so pleased to have spent these four days in your hotel. It is very rewarding. The food was very rich and nourishing. The environment was clean to my satisfaction. I will like to come back next time. I can always recommend LA Jolla Hotel to my friends.

If I could give this hotel zero stars I would. I m typing this review as I m still sitting in this god-awful establishment because this had to be said immediately. From the moment I walked into this hotel I felt as if I was indecent. My girlfriend and I drove down from LA to come to a funeral. We arrived at 8pm. The property is dark, few signage to direct you anywhere, and no employees on property. We made our way to valet only to notice that no one was there, and finally seeing a sign that said valet currently unlovable. I proceeded to park in a parking spot I found in order to go inside and ask if someone from bell services could help us with our bags. I went inside and there was only one employee at the desk who was helping another guest. After waiting about 15 minutes to ask for help and check in, the employee rudely told me that there is no valet on weekdays without apologizing for the inconvenience and spoke in the same short, cursory, and patronizing manner when I asked for baggage help. He placed us in a room on the complete opposite side of the property after I told him that I was parked outside. So after driving to our room and getting settled we went to go grab a bite to eat. When we came back to the room my girlfriend attempted to to try and sign into the Netflix app available on the tv. I say this without exaggeration, it took 20 minutes for her to sign into her account due to the fact that the remote kept freezing and lagging whenever you would press any of the buttons. When finally I decided to call front desk the person I spoke with just said sure I ll send an engineer up THEN HUNG UP ON ME. After I let the shock of being spoken to in such a short and discourteous manner I realized that the service at this hotel is atrocious. So I decided to call back and ask for a manger and the same person told me that THERE IS NO MANAGER right now. This hotel claims to be top tier, it proudly displays some 4 diamond award in its lobby. However, this is by far the worst service I ve ever received in any hotel. It s not just what they did do, but it s what they didn t do. For a hotel of this stature you d expect a certain level of service where the staff go above and beyond to make you feel welcomed and make you feel like you matter. I don t know if it s because of my race or what it was (the lady checking in before me was white and the guy seemed very friendly with her) but I m never staying in this place ever again and I hope anyone with any amount of pride in themselves and their money will act accordingly.

I actually work here and not to be biast or anything but this place is very nice and has a Spanish ranch feel to it. This is an amazing place to have weddings or events because of its various spaces provided. Food is also good with usually a daily special that are inspired by a mixture of different cuisines. Enjoy a stay at the estancia with great memories employees help you create.

Quite expensive. Although the grounds are pretty and mostly well maintained (see below), we have had some (1st world) struggles. See my review of their restaurant, Mustangs and Burros.
Our key cards didn't work beginning on full day 1, which resulted in 2 trips back to the front desk to get the keys reprogrammed. This ultimately resulted in a call to engineering to get the battery on the door key changed.
I asked for a drinks voucher which would have resulted in a happier customer, but I was told at the front desk that they don't do that here. Really management? Alcohol makes people so happy! And it's such a cheap fix!

Inconvenient? Yes.

Will it ultimately lead me to change hotels (no) or advise someone against coming here (likely not)? (Unless they are the sort of person who can't handle anything but perfection--in which case maybe go elsewhere...)

I'm paying $180 tomorrow for a deep tissue massage with Michelle. I will possibly increase in my rating tomorrow. For that price I have HIGH expectations.

Gorgeous hotel and grounds. We were here for 3 nights and really disconnected .. restaurant was good and pool very lovely. The only thing we were unhappy about was the high parking charge $25 for self park that's pretty far away or $30 for valet which makes you just valet each day. This charge is on top of an already pricey nightly rate, and nightly resort fee!

We flew in from the Midwest. The staff here was really the highlight and is second to none. The weather was cold so the pool, while very nice and well maintained was not something we were able to use. The wine bar/restaurant was a highlight. The room was great. The guys at valet did a fantastic job. Close to everything. We took our children to the zoo, Legoland, the Midway museum and the Safari park but never drive more than a half hour. Would stay here again on a return trip if we ever came again.

The room was nice and the courtyard area was beautiful. The service was friendly and thorough. Food at the cafe was ok, I would say overpriced for the quality. Food from the restaurant and room service was very good, though, and although it was expensive, I think it was on point.

I attended to Estancia la Jolla for an end of the year event. The service is excellent, the staff is attentive and polite. I also had their food which was really good and healthy looking. I didn't stay hear over night so I can't comment about room quality. Overall I had a good experience during the event I attended to at thisnplace .
