Just remember
Just remember
1. Park Place in Grapevine will meet you at the state line. Talk to Terry.
2. Tulsa Lexus is great and a short drive.
3. Google wouldn't let me give this a zero star.
Ten years ago I went here for the first time. I was wearing sweats, looked a little tired, and strolled the lot for a good thirty minutes in the heat while their sales associates watched from inside. (They were all male by the way.) Not a single person came outside and no one spoke to me. I finally walked inside where they still did not speak to me, walked past everyone, and walked straight into a manager's office, chewed him out, and then left. I drove 15 miles away and dropped 25K on a used Lexus. I told him that day I would never buy from the place.
Fast forward to 3 years, I went in to purchase a vehicle, and literally never saw a sales associate come out. I laughed and chastised myself for even considering them. I drove down the way and dropped a pretty penny on an Infinity.
In September I finally convinced myself to buy a brand new vehicle. Lexus was running a finance special on IS's which is what I really wanted. I applied for credit online and was approved as a Tier 1 plus finance customer for 45,000 dollars. My husband and I both have over 720 credit ratings. I spoke with a sales associate and told him which vehicle I wanted and what price I was willing to pay. They said that they didn't think the owner would go for it. (I wanted a 43,000 vehicle for 40,000 and the special finance rate.) They called me back and said no but that they would work on something. For three days I continued to call them because they wouldn't call me back. No one ever knew what was going on.
I finally called Park Place and told them I was already approved because Tulsa didn't have the color combo I wanted. Park Place shot me an offer that was better than I asked for plus threw in the window tint I wanted. No haggling. No issues. They did all the work.
Several weeks later the Eskridge Lexus finance department kept emailing me to let me know I was approved but that I had to buy within 30 days. I had to call them to tell them that they contract I did online had already been fulfilled. They were suppose to find out why no one there ever helped me and they never called to let me know.
Took my brand new Lexus into Eskridge recently to get an oil job and I got home to notice that my window was cracked. I can't prove it but they were the only people who worked on my car. While at the desk, I spoke with Christian and asked him to explain the difference between their services to me. Instead of answering me, he patronized me with a long list of responses that sounded like he was reading a cue card...
Things like...
"It's OUR recommendation you do this.... not the manufacturer. OURSSSS. OURRSSSS" Uhm I did not ask whose recommendation it was. I asked you to differentiate two things for me. I finally had to tell him that I wasn't so stupid as to not be able to check my own tires and brakes.
So
Driving to Tulsa for the 1100 dollar repair. No haggling or begging for them to treat me well. They called me back to tell me they had scheduled me a rental and that it would be ready upon my arrival. Made sure they had my VIN so they could order the right part and told me which parts needed computer calibration etc. I spoke with Ray and Rico and thankful they spoke to me like I had more than 5 brain cells.
So learn from my lesson...
Tulsa treats you well.
Park Place treats you well and has four times the inventory. Read their ratings.
Eskridge Lexus doesn't appear to like minorities, women, people dressed in sweats, or basically anyone who asks questions about their policies. My husband went in on the exact same day to meet me and they nearly killed him trying to run quickly to him. White well dressed male and all.
However, if you'd like to be treated like a moron, or anything else that the staff there likes to imagine is the perfect way to treat someone they see as sub-human well than, Eskridge is absolutely for you. Everyone else should run.
