I called with a simple mistake; one of our Tullius sandwiches came with the correct amount of meat and one did not - simple human mistake. I was treated rudely by the "supervisor" Shay, who stated that he had "...been working there for a long time and didn't have time to listen to this" and accused me of lying.

I was polite and used no profanity or even a cross tone and was treated like this. This is the last time this chain will receive any of my money. I will update this review if possible once I call back and speak with a more superior member of management on a weekday.

Today was most likely my last time having erberts and gerberts. I had my order delivered today and they messed it up which i noticed as I opened my bag. I called them and asked if they could correct which they said they would and they would have a driver bring it out. They never came with the correction or called me in regards to it. Very disappointed with the service at this location.

Got in and out very quickly. The staff was polite and will be my pick to come back next time we need a sandwich and soup.

Great place for grab and go and delivery. Don't forget to tip your hard working, friendly delivery driver! ;)

I ordered delivery online, and shortly after I had to run an emergency errand. I had to call and ask the staff to put my order on hold, seeing as I had to leave work for a little bit. They were so understanding! When I returned I let them know I was available again. I expected my delivery to take a while due to the confusion, but they brought me my food super quick and my chili didn't even get cold!! Thank you Erbert and Gerbert's!!

The food is great at the customer service was excellent.

Waited an hour for 2 subs (1 that was wrong) and a cup of soup (that was ice cold) when told 20-30 minutes. Never again

Everytime we get delivery and Ben delivers expectations are exceeded. Favorite subs in town!

Amazing service even during a pandemic! Ordered online one evening but got a prompt call from the store advising they were out of bread due to demand and couldn t fulfill the order. Tried again next day and called before ordering to confirm everything we wanted was in stock. When we received our no contact confirmation call they said they had given it to us free of charge because of the trouble we went through! Employees were cheerful and offered solutions despite the difficult situation. And the food was delicious!

Don't ever order from Water Street's E&G. After waiting for 1.5 hours for ONE SUB I cancelled my order and got Jimmy John's instead. Not to mention, the ordering part of it took 10 minutes because the kid had no idea what he was doing. Their hiring manager needs to be a little more picky.

I really liked this place. Just stopping in on my drive in to Minneapolis. The staff was really friendly and helpful. It kind of reminded me of a jimmy johns. The only complaint that I have is the food was kind of expensive. I also got the buffalo chicken sandwich and when I bit into it some of the chicken had like ice on it from being refrigerated. It grossed me out a little. Broccoli cheddar soup was soothing. Other than that it was great. I would return.

They have amazing sub selections. Like nothing I had before! Fresh bread and quick service.

The ORIGINAL and IMHO the best. Always quick on the food prep and love trying to figure out what I'm going to try next.

Told them exactly what I wanted to a t told him exactly what I was allergic to to a t still managed to give me something I'm incapable of eating as a matter of fact had I eaten it or even bit into it I would be in the hospital... Not going back

I've always had good sandwiches here! Better than subway in my opinion. The wheat bread is very good!

Ordered 3 subs and it took an hour and 55 minutes. Do not recommend. Any other place is faster. Go get subway, cousins, jimmy johns or anything. If you re hungry do not order from here because they ll make you starve before you get your food. Not worth it at all.

Great sandwich! Bonie Billy is the bomb! Gluten-free bread is worth the dough! Highly recommend!

Great subs, and they also have many options for which type of sub you would like. Also, there variety is amazing and it seems to be a quality place. The only thing bad about it is the bread, mine just seemed a tad bit dry.

Pretty good! I went to school at UWEC, but never ate here. Returning as an alum, I have to say I really liked it! I got the Erupter sandwich which was very good. Prices maybe a touch high, but the quality of food and service was worth it. I would return. They also cut out part of the inside of the bread (guts) to fit more meat & toppings in. They then give you that cut out to eat separately, dip in soup, etc.

Waited an hour and a half for my food to be delivered

Customer service sucks. Called in an order for delivery, 1/2hr later, nothing, call them back, and the girl who picked up said "any minute", any minute turned into another 20. Be thankful I didn't come I into the store, read your asses out, and shove everyone one of your loaves of bs down to the last one, up every worker that was on that shift.

The second to last time I called they only had one soup 6 hours prior to them closing. The last time I called their delivery driver didn t show up. Today they do not answer their phone and their online delivery system is not functioning. Awful customer service, awful management. The worst part is the other Erberts and Gerberts can t deliver into their area even though the water street location is never functioning properly.

Fast, affordable, and fresh with friendly staff. I love making this a stop when I'm on town

Order was extremely late ordered at 632 didnt arrive til 743 suppose to arrive at 704..called twice and got rude customer service not happy, soup was so cold had skin on the top of beer cheese soup very very disappointed

Did i seriously just pay 5 bucks for a half full cup of Mac n cheese, and my sandwich was lacking too

The bread is amazing the meat and vegetables are amazingly fresh this is not your ordinary sandwich shop

The best place for subs! Personally, I prefer erbs to subway anyday. Plus it was started in Eau Claire, so I feel good about spending money at a local place. Sometimes you can also buy day old sub bread, and the wheat bread is so delicious!

Ordered a sub and they made it wrong, called and explained nicely that they messed up. He said they would send another one in 30 minutes. It has now been going on an hour and a half and I still do not have my food.

They said that my food would be delivered in 30 minutes and its been over an hour. Im super annoyed.

Called to place an order for delivery this evening to my workplace, person on the other end stated that they had just closed at 11PM! Quite disappointing when the website clearly states that you are open until 2AM. Very unhappy... I work until 615AM at a hospital, no closing early for us. :(

I miss marked this. I would go with a 5 star but the potatoes were a little chewy in the soup.

I ordered 1 sandwich and some soup at 11:04am, it's now 12:27pm and no food or phonecall saying they're running behind. 11:44am was the estimated time of delivery. Disappointing service.

1.5 hours into my paper and I realize my sandwich isn't here. They got my phone number and address wrong. The number and address I gave them two or three times because the employee was new or just didn't get it. I even said it was at Chancellor's Hall for christs sake. Last time I order from them.

My husband asked for the lunch box with the half sandwich. None of the employees very impressive. When we got home, we noticed I was given a whole sandwich. Total for mine and his regular was over $17. We were charged over $12 for mine. Supposed to be $6.99 for half. Will be a long time before we spend that kind of $$ for subs. Good soup though.

As a local business owner & (at one time) an employee to a store neighboring this one for 12yrs, its a local "know" that the place rocks during the day when the supervisor is there....But NEVER EVER get delivery at night.
Other than being late (when I live within less of one mile) my sandwich was slathered in mayo AND mayo isn't even supposed to be on the kind of sub I ordered!!!
Most of those night kids are probably spoiled UW students who've never had to work for money up until now & look at their job as a joke. So really, why should they care about the restaurant's reputation?

The day crew is always spot on, but this night crew has issues. Ordered my sub and soup at 9pm revived a call at 10 hoping it was the driver telling me he was outside, but sadly was was the inshop. They had called to tell me they were out of the soup I had ordered... an hour ago... so I changed my order and was assured my delivery would be there within 20 minutes....

55 MINUTES later I poked my head out the door to find my delivery driver just chilling in his car on the road I shut the door waited about 2 minutes before the driver knocked... super duper disappointed... soup was cold by the time it arrived as well

Pretty expensive for what you get but wild rice soup is to die for. Super grumpy, rude, introverted delivery guy lately :-/

Fantastic sub shop. It's a little more expensive than Jimmy John's or subway but dang do they make a good sandwich

Terrible. an hour + wait for a sandwich. Try to call back no answer. This is after already charging my card.

I wish I could say I had the patience to give them a 3rd chance, but after 2/2 delivery orders messed up...why would I bother (especially when Jimmy Johns gets it right)? Friendly and helpful staff, though.

Ordered 35$ worth of food tonight, only to receive two sandwiches that were incorrect and no giant pickle. When I called the store the response was Our manager is in tomorrow if you wanna come in... I had to ask the worker if he wanted to take down our name before he hung up for the manager the next day. The sandwiches had things we cannot eat on them so now we have to spend more money to order something else. Very disappointed.

I love Erbert and Gerberts. I made it a personal goal 2 years ago to have one of everything on their menu, and I did. Honestly, I only didn't like 2 of their sandwiches, and that's because the jelly on the Pudder soaks into the bread, and the Erupter is spicy. Otherwise I love ALL of their sandwiches and there's always good service! 10/10!!

Sub was messy, to much mayo- delicious anyway. Took to long to deliver.

I'm not sure exactly sure how a sub, soup, and drink adds up to over $12.... bring your own lube, they don't supply it.
