This is my neighborhood Equinox. Compared to the other Equinoxes, it may be a little underwhelming. Given the location, it's perfect.

The stairs can be a little annoying, and it is quite busy at peak hour, but the equipment is good and the showers and lockers are in great condition. A very solid Equinox that I'm glad to go to in the mornings.

Wow. I called to see about a few spa products that I was hoping they carried so I could stop by and pick them up today.First off, the person picked up the phone and then hung up on me. When I called back, a man name Javier answered the phone and sounded very unpleasant as if I annoyed him by calling the club. I asked to speak with someone from the spa and he replied "hold up"...and placed me on hold where the phone rang until he then answered again. I told him that I must have gotten transferred back to him, so I asked if anyone from the spa would be available today so that I can just stop by. He snapped back with a much attitude, "well what is it you're trying to accomplish?!!" What a douche! I understand having a bad day but for the caliber of this establishment, I expected more of a professional phone etiquette. I'm not one to write "reviews" but I wrote this in hopes the management there reads this and makes some improvements with their front desk and how they answer the phone. Perhaps the front desk might be "too much" for this guy, Javier, maybe he should be working in maintenance where he doesn't have to interact with members as much...or maybe he just isn't cut out for CUSTOMER SERVICE. Equinox BK, good luck with business. -C

Meh. After visiting the Chelsea location, I'm not sure how this one earned its Equinox badge. The amenities are there, but the whole place feels kinda low budget. Maybe it's the fluorescent lighting. Maybe it's the tiny shower stalls, lacking those swanky wooden mats. Either way, I'll gladly deal with the extra 20 minutes of travel to get to the posh fitness spa nestled under the highline. Post workout re-carb at Morimoto?

This equinox is really old and not nearly as nice as the other ones. The lockers haven't been updated so you either need to bring your own lock or exchange your ID for a loaner. Other than that the classes and equipment are typical. Yoga studio has strange columns all over, and can get packed, and it quite weird when you end up getting the mat directly behind the column.

My husband and I visit this club more than the one's near our work. I've been going for a few years now and love that I can take a class and leave my toddler in the Kid's Club. The 2 hours maximum is just enough time to take an hour yoga class and shower. I feel comfortable at this club unlike some of the others in the city, they don't have the same "home" vibe that Brooklyn Heights have. The young lady who works in the Kids Club during the week, Dana, is very helpful with my toddler who can be a bit of a handful. I think as a parent we all want to feel that our kids are in good hand's and that's how I feel with her.

Great job Brooklyn!

Brooklyn's lone Equinox is a nice spot - same level set up as their Manhattan locations. If only there were more than just the Brooklyn Heights one! The weekend Zumba classes here are fabulous.

Was a member here until this week, spent a bunch of money on things like PT etc and made some good friends with the training staff. But the level of service from the corporate / management of the gym itself after a few years has totally thrown me off staying at this gym. Constantly being nickel and dimed by their sales team and even General Manager: Alex Daniels shows zero respect for their long standing members. It's suppose to be a premium gym but you get treated like meat. Avoid.

My favorite gym because I go here. I wish the prices were half what I pay. The trainers are friendly. I see other google users giving this gym bad marks and I can't understand why.

Of all the locations - this is the worst in terms of trainers think they rule the gym. They pretty much take half the space for their clients - or they work out and take up multiple machines for themselves. They also take up the bigger lockers for themselves. Come on - who's paying to use the gym? the trainers or the customers? Who is this gym for? (also, please don't dilute your Kiehl's products with water - it's cheesy)

Potential members, beware:

Potential members, beware:

If you reach this Equinox by phone and an employee says "come on by to try out the gym whenever you want"....the gym won't honor that...unless the SAME PERSON is working at the counter when you show up for the trial.

How would you know that person's schedule?

Asking politely to speak with the manager doesn't help. Avoid.

I m scratching my trying to justify the premium cost for this gym. No in-person classes, no amenities, no spa, etc. I understand it is not their choice to keep them closed, but they re still charging a premium when half their services that would somewhat justify the cost are not available. Perhaps a discounted rate would be more appropriate. Furthermore, this location doesn t even have locks available in the locker room. Am I seriously expected to carry a lock with me every time I come to the gym? I feel like I m paying 10x for a Crunch gym experience. Actually some Crunch locations are newer and arguably nicer.
