This company sucks! if you can do another renters ...

This company sucks! if you can do another renters insurnace then i suggest you do so. I had mold in my apartment,which ruined my couches. I called this insurnace company and they said my plan would reimburse me for my damaged couches if they could find that the mold was due to a leak.

They found out the mold was due to a leak and made me feel as though the situation was handled and that i would be covered. Months later after dealing with this claim they sent me a random letter saying that mold is NOT covered in my plan!

why would they give me the run around for months! only to say im not covered for mold. You would think they would have told me on the first phone call months prior!

I deal with insurance policies for a living so i tell my customers immediately what thier plans cover. not months later! So the entire time they made me feel like they where working my claim , when realy who knows what the hell they do all day .waste of money and time!

I am renewing with them becuase my apartment complex uses them but i plan to speak to my property manager about switching the company they use. I am out of a $3k couch , i wish i chose another company .

Any review that says this company is great is probably falsified. This company is terrible. Rates are too high and you can never get ahold of a real person if you ever actually need to use your renters insurance or file a claim. I am on hold with them trying to cancel my policy now and I have been waiting almost AN HOUR.
Your apartment cannot force you to take out a policy with this insurance company even if they say they can. You have the freedom to choose the policy that you want from a provider that is best for you. I m going with my car insurance company. Alfa is cheaper, they cover more, and most importantly, they would roll over dead before they made any of their customers wait an hour for customer service.

It was easy to enroll, the only complaint I have is that this insurance renews automatically even if you move from your apartment unless you contact the company in advance to cancel. I think it should be the opposite. I should have to contact the company to renew. My opinion this mode of business is followed because the company knows that people forget to cancel so they receive extra premium. My opinion, poor business model.
