This company is apaulling. I stayed at an apartment they are associated with and recevied a check for my security deposit. Unfortunetalty I wasnt able to cash it becuase it had been made out to myself and my fiance who passed away just beofre i received the check. The reason I was even getting it was beucase I had to urgently move out of the apartment becuase my fiance passed away and I had two children and couldnt afford the apartment on my own. Well after being told my the bank that i couldnt cash the check without my fiance being on the account I called American Management and explained i needed a new one issued. They assured me they would get right to it.... well they didnt and time passed and I admit I forgot about it for some time well 2 years. I do agree its a long time to forget about a check but when you have a 4 month old and a 2 year old and your bouncing around from family memeber to family memeber to get on your feet you forget a thing or two. so i called the company back to explain the situation and i was first told oh this has nothing to do with us because the aparment is under different management and we didnt issue the check. When I tell the gentleman well yes it is your company and you did issue me the check the conversation switched to oh well why did you wait two years its your fault. Honeslty had the company done what they said they were going to do in the first place when i first called which was reissue a check we wouldnt be having this conversation. Please tell me if im wrong for this or is it the fault of American Management Group. I would really like to know. Also, it isnt like the check was for 1,000 dollars the check is for $225 dollars, I mean what does that say about the company if they cant even reissue a $225 dollar check im just wondering. Again tell me if im in the wrong
