the worst customer service. i called to get new insulation after all of it fell out of my 1 year old heater.. they sent me 1 tiny little piece. have tried multiple times to call left voice mails..got one call back and as soon as i returned the call no one answers
There is no issue with the Mr Heater MH18B. The major issue is their customer service. Snotty, condescending, noninformative responses. My experience with them in email is deplorable! The person attempted to be clever with backhanded insults. They were not. They were the absolute opposite of the companies mission statement. One can only hope the heater doesn't disappoint as much as the people they employ.
I have a Mr. Heater MH30T two burner model and recently had a problem with one burner going out and failing to light quickly. I contacted customer service and I'm impressed with the outstanding support I received to resolve my problem which ended with a new unit sent out withing two days! I will explain. After e mailing the manufacture and explaining my problem I was told to check wire connectors, found no problem there. I made the determination that I had a bad tip over valve. Alex, from customer service, quickly sent out a new tip over which I installed. I was wrong nothing wrong with the tip over valve. After that Alex suggested I sent back the old unit and they would send me out a new one. I was e mailed a pre-paid Fed Ex shipping label and promptly boxed the heater sent it back. This is the thing I was most impressed with. The day I sent it back, and they had proof from the tracking number that it was on the way, they immediately send out a new unit with no delays! No questions asked! I received the new unit withing two day. That was most important to me because it's winter time, it's cold and I need it now. Their good service and product support means a lot to me. I would have no hesitation purchasing other gas heat appliances and I recommend their products to anyone.
