I have worked with Elizabeth Michael for just under 2 years. I really rate them as a recruitment agency. The joining process was smooth and they were always in contact to make sure I was happy in my assignments. When it came to interviews I felt they, in particular Olivia, was really helpful and made sure I was prepared by sending interview tips and called me to make sure I was ready and gave me a great pep talk.

Very unprofessional, they are so friendly and helpful when they have placed you in a position, obviously as they are being paid a considerable amount for you but, if things do not work then they can be very unpleasant.
Very good experience. The registration process was straight forward. At the interveiw the consultant took time to get to know what type of work I was looking for and I got some CV tips that were useful. I was matched up to the right job that was tailored to my skill set and got a job in a week.

Firstly, the girls that work there are really lovely and friendly but all in all not a positive experience. I went to EM months and months ago when looking for a job change.
I applied initially and was told of a great job at a local estate agents and that I was 'almost guaranteed' an interview. When I hadn't heard anything they said that it was 'most likely I wouldn't get one now' which I thought was odd.
I specifically stated I did not want a call centre role, but the only two jobs they deemed suitable for me were in call centres despite them emailing me other, more suitable roles daily. I turned down one that was clearly terrible, but decided I may as well interview for the second due to it's location. They then advised me that they couldn't set up an interview without speaking to me over the phone during office hours - difficult when you work full time! The also told me several different times, thus the interview never materialised.
In the months that passed since, I have found myself a new role rendering signing up with them quite pointless.
I am writing to say thank you to the staff at Elizabeth Michael Associates Ltd. From the minute I stepped into your office to register and then starting a temporary position almost immediately I have been nothing but satisfied. Your registration process was friendly and informal, professional and effecient. I was given a three months temporary assignment and by the end of my second week I ve got my permanent contract. My experience with Elizabeth Michael has been a very disappointing one. the fact that they advertise jobs with "Immediate Start!" Then take weeks to answer your application or the fact that they choose whether you are put forward the role in the first place despite your CV ticking all the boxes/points on the job specification and the fact that you applied for a fair try out or a simple consideration. This is all thrown into to the bin with a simple "We haven't got to your application yet" or "Unfortunately that job is full" or the classic " We didn't feel you had necessary experience," even though your CV or past jobs are built of of exactly what the role consists of.
In my experience with Elizabeth Michaels staff, they have been very dismissive and at times abrasive when i called to chase my application they were very quick to put the phone down on me when i questioned something that they didn't expect or that is not scripted for them to say.
Poor service and poor manners from a company who claims to recruit people.

Short but mainly positive experience with EM.
During my last placement I happened upon an email describing how much my placement provider paid EM for my prior temp - assuming they were on the same hourly package as I, EM paid almost half of this wage from the placement provider to myself and kept the other half for EM admin. Now I understand this is how agencies make their money but a few pounds an hour times 35-40 hours per week certainly adds up so be very clear about the hourly rate you require when applying as a temp with EM.

Highly unprofessional staff. I have applied for a certain position, got misscall from Helen then email thank you for your application please call back on number provided. So I did, but suddenly I was told that they will reprint my file and try to find me a position, so I have asked what has happened with the one I have applied for few days ago? I was told they dont want more CV as already interviewing. Never found out if they actually sent my CV to the company as I had experience already in this kind of role. I did not find out as Helen just simply HUNG UP ON ME!
