Yummy wines, interesting people, trendy jewelry. Nice country setting. Wine barrels tasting (futures), fresh honey. The guy with pirate outlook is the owner, former firefighter, our friend. Visit him, you won't be disappointed.

The winemaker is a former firefighter. Now he is enjoying life growing vines, polishing his wine making skills, producing honey... And now he's got a horse! We have been enjoying his wines for over a decade, and appreciate every drop. Definitely a place to visit. The wine tasting room has unique jewelry and accessories to sell. The prices for those are very friendly. The room always has barrel tasting available, so you can order futures. Go! You won't be disappointed.

Great atmosphere and even better wine! If your in the Livermore valley wine tasting you have to make this a destination and enjoy the tasting room!

Would give Hal and El Sol a 6/5 if I could!

Had a great wine tasting with Hal and Sherry, plus a tour of the barrels. We were the only ones there so got a private tour :). We also wanted to buy some honey, preferably with some honeycomb as well. Hal told us to put on some beekeeping suits and follow him to the hives! In addition to some amazing honey we got an experience we will remember for years.

Hal has a great story - former chief of firefighting in Hayward, now turned winemaker and beekeeper. It was great to speak to him and learn about his background. We had an amazing afternoon!

My wife went in for wine tasting and brought home a GSM. It was truly horrible, tastes like a mouth full of tart pepper corns.The cuvee was kind of ok but not sure is worth it.

Unpretentious tasting room in a country environment, very helpful staff, no rush. Great way to spend an afternoon.

Had one of the best times at a winery. Hal and Ed were informative, charismatic, and they made sure we had a good time. There we a lot of helpful people including Ambra, and the wine was delicious. 5 stars, would recommend going again!

Great wine and a friendly staff round out this tiny, out of the way tasting room. We bought half a case of an obscure varietal, Scioppetino. Delicious.
