El Monte Mexican Grill Review

Every dish I've had there has been good. Food is always hot (temperature), and tasty. Service is good, hardly ever had to wait to be seated, even when they are busy.

Staff eager to wait on you. Good, hot food. The salsa has no spice and tastes more like a can of tomato sauce that salsa. Other than that, a great experience!

Service is good, but food is very average Tex-Mex fare. Trivia is fun every Tuesday & Thursday.

Never a wait, excellent prices an always received food in a rather fast but timely manner

Service was not good at all. The server did not listen to our orders correctly. We asked for no onions due to allergies and received onions. When we ordered lettuce and tomatoes without onions we where told we had to pay extra. We will not go back.

Our family loves this place. When we say fast service, we talking about fast. Like, o that was quick fast.

El Monte is the only Mexican restaurant in Huntsville that my wife and I will ever go to. Everything is good from the entree on down to the salsa and chips. There margarita and singria drinks are by far best in town.

Our whole family eats at El Monte every Friday. They are almost always very busy but the food is always so so good. And with the big crowd that they have they STILL get the food out quickly! Definitely a good place to eat in my opinion (and my family agrees)!

Due to Covid-19, they are currently curbside service pick up only. They are top notch for curb side service. Their very attentive manager keeps an eye out and spots customers before they come up and greets you with a smile. We ordered from the car, the food was very prompt. Great service and excellent food. We will be back.

What I ordered was. Okay, The steak strips in the meal were extremely chewy.

Great food at very reasonable prices. Lunch portion of my wife's and my meals were more than plenty. Friendly staff, clean facility, and a cozy atmosphere. My local favorite!

Though I have eaten here many times and enjoyed the food the one time I have issues they have been terrible to deal with. My wife and I went in to eat the meal totaling $33.58 with tip. A few days later we find our card was charged $67.16. Those quick at math already know that is double the original bill. No they didn t run the card twice they input $67.16 into the system. I went by before they got busy to talk to the manger the day we found out to be told I have to talk to my bank it will call you tomorrow. Tomorrow comes and I have to call him only to be told The guy that did it is not here I ll call you back . The next day I called him again to be told Just have your bank refund it Well between my immediate family, extended family and spouses they lost nearly 100 peoples business in this experience.

I will go to El Mariachi or Taco Bell from here on out.

We go here pretty regularly. It is close and the food is good. It is a little pricier than some of the competitors, but not by too much. Also....the margaritas are really good!!! They taste full strength. Other places give you more sugar water and less tequila! Definitely recommend trying them out. Very quick to get your food to you.

Went in two guys at the door pointed a man to his group in the other room. They both looked at me then started talking to each other about nothing in particular I waited and they never talked to me. So I don't know how the food is but the initial service was awful.

First time trying El Monte. We were greeted by friendly staff and seated immediately. Delicious Margaritas, chips and salsa to start. After we placed our order it seemed like the food came out in under 10 minutes. I think our server was Morales, he was awesome. We will definitely be back!

Food is always great but we ordered lunch from there and got the El Monte Dip for the office and the picture below is what we got. This is a 9-10 dollar cheese dip and this is all they sent. When i called and told them what had happened the man on the phone kept repeating all orders get the same amount... i clearly stated i had ordered this several times before and what they sent was wrong. He hung up on me. The office orders from this place many times but think that will be coming to a stop. the picture is what they delivered.... before anyone ate it.

Great place to get together with friends and enjoy each others company. Food is reasonably priced and quality is worth the wait. If something wasn't like you ask for it to be they will correct it with a positive attitude (Plus).! Try their "aguas frescas" you wont be disappointed.

Would give zero stars if possible, just went here and when we asked to substitute our sides for some form of vegetable (due to dietary restriction) told it would be 4$ to do so. Cannot recommend.

Just your typical Mexican restaurant, the food and service has always been good and quick! They re reasonably priced, especially so during lunch. My one thing to add, is I do love the salsa more than some Mexican restaurants, it s more tomato based and just always seems to have the right amount of spice.

Best place for authentic Mexican food and truly best service! They always remember me and my family every time we come in (which is rare) cause we are so busy with our lives! Hands down the best Mexican restaurant here in Huntsville!! :)

This place is one of the things I miss most about Huntsville. The good was good and the prices were better. The service was always friendly and fast. The manager routinely shakes your hand if you are a regular. The chips and salsa are the best of anywhere I have ever been. Plenty of menu items are available for different tastes. The place is always clean. Waiting time is minimal even on the busiest of nights.

Bland...very tasteless and that was surprising because they have always been so good. New cooks?? No bottled hot sauce on tables and my husband's taco shell was stale.

By far my favorite Mexican restaurant EVER! The service is always outstanding. The prices are beyond reasonable and the food is PERFECT everytime! You can not go wrong here. The server's are very nice and your drink never goes dry! I'd suggest this place to anyone that's hungry!
