Great burger. And the applesauce is fantastical. Good selection of beer.
I am British and have spent time in 44 of the 50 States over the past 30 years. I love the USA passionately but in all of my time here have never, until now, enjoyed a real beer here. I am writing this as I sit in Cooper Smith in Fort Collins, CO. I am on my second Albert Bitter and I normally have to be in the UK to get real beer of this quality. Hats of to the guys who have ended a 30 year quest for real ale in the USA.
If this is the future of American brewing I may never need to go back home again.
Good food. Good service. Quick seating on a Sunday afternoon. Green chili chicken soup of the day was delicious.
Usually enjoy coming here, however today the service was mediocre at best. 45 mins for wait staff to take our order, another 45 for the food to come out, only for it to be cold. Server was not professional in his response to remake it, and refused to discount our total. It will be a while before I venture back.
I'd say stick with just drinks at this place. The 6 times I've eaten here, the food is always simply, meh. I've never been blown away and I've arrived here starving. The staff is always extremely friendly and accommodating, I just can't rave for their menu items unfortunately.
Such a classic Fort Collins experience. And the food is consistently great. Be sure to try the homemade soda!
Terrible service. All I wanted was a shot and leave I wore a mask and everything and they are so unreasonable. Never coming here again. Way to treat the locals! I came here when I was a little kid and I can't believe how far it's gone down. I dropped my sunglasses on the way out and the bartender laughed at me. Don't waste your money.
Great brew pub. Several beers brewed onsite and the food was excellent. Several people in my group and all were happy with there orders. Authentic feel.
First, we've been going to Coopersmith's since we moved to Colorado 22 years ago and will continue to go well into the future. We love their beer, food and service, I have zero complaints about how those pieces are run and recommend them. With Covid-19, however, we went back in hopes of eating outside on one of the patios as we've done many times, but with far more safety in mind at this time, obviously. We were incredibly disappointed to find that the patios have not been shifted, or at least very little from the looks of it, for social distancing. The tables are close enough that the backs of people at different tables were no more than 2 feet apart and they had all of the tables sat. So, we moved on to another restaurant downtown that was abiding by the recommendations and mandates, and made us comfortable. Some people might not care and it's at least outside, but if a restaurant owner is willing to sacrifice safety and patron comfort in order to make sales, it's concerning. I get that this time sucks for everyone and restaurants have been hit hard, I wish that weren't the case and we are trying to get out to support these businesses we love, but this is also a way to continue to lose some business from dedicated customers.
Coppersmiths is a long time standby for us in Old Town and we are happy they are still open with plenty of patio seating.
Tonight we had their home made Irish Stout on nitro which was pretty much Guinness and their in-house cream soda. We had the Coops burger and the Devil's Backbone buffalo burger and they were great.
Service is generally polite and fast and one of our favorite beers (the watermelon seasonal during the summer) is exclusive to here. We come here probably once a month without fail.
I would walk on. Very average. They cracked open a box of Kraft Mac n cheese for the kids. The grilled cheese didn't taste normal. Blah.
Really great Irish style pub! The beer and food are great and so is the staff!
This place is Awesome! We love everything about it, the food, the service, the atmosphere. The fried pickles are fantastic! You cannot go wrong.
Very nice bartender. Got bourbon BBQ wings and a APA. The beer was okay. The wings were really juicy and tasty. Definitely would be back for the wings but would probably skip the beer if it wasn't happy hour.
Coopersmith's used to have some of the best burgers in town. Service was great to-go, but the burgers were awful. Like really bad. What happened?
I always want to eat here when I get out to visit. Good food, friendly servers and good beer.
Amazing food amazing service will recomond and bring frends and family here.
Great beer, good pub food, large portions. Easy 5 stars!
One of the best and most iconic restaurants in Fort Collins, hands down. The food is great (the Cooper's Burger is my favorite), that atmosphere is wonderful and the staff are always on the spot. This restaurant has a big place in our recent family history. This is also where we take visitors to town most frequently because it captures that quintessential Fort Collins flavor.
Poor service and disgusting cold food. Staff is always short. Would not recommend for families.
The highland cottage pie is really good. We come here often when in town.
We appreciated the COVID procedures in place. It felt like a safe as possible experience. Food was great as always and our server was perfect.
I enjoy going here whenever I can. The atmosphere and view almost takes you back to a simpler time! The food is always tasty, and the homemade sodas are refreshing!
Great burgers, be careful for the hot sauce burger, it's mostly hot sauce but the fries were great and they had lots of beers to choose from.
The food here was awesome. The buffalo mushroom burger was stupid good. Bought a couple shirts for my sons, wish they had a better selection of 3x shirts for bigger (fat) guys like me, haha. Other than that this place is a definate stop next time we are in Ft Collins. Thanks Coopersmith, let me know when you get a few 3XL shirts in, my sons will be representing with your shirts out here in So. Ca.
Food is good, great buffalo burgers, beer is good. A little loud to have conversations though. Which may or may not be a good thing depending on who you're with...
Coopersmiths has been one of my absolute favorite places to eat and have a drink or two. I've been going here for years...living about an HR away has not kept me from coming to eat here on any given night. You can't beat the service, food or the beers that they brew themselves! The food is absolutely out of this world! The famous chicken pot pie is amazingly delicious and the burgers and just as amazing! Weather your driving through or live down the street mark this off as a place to try cause once you do you will be hooked!! Don't forget to try the hard cider!!!
Stopped by on Sunday afternoon at 3:30. Got seated but then no service of any kind, no water, no menu, nothing. My wife and I walked out after 15 minutes.
Highly recommend Coopersmith's. I always like to try different beers. I tried a sample of the green chili beer and enjoyed it. After ordering a full glass our waitress suggested trying some of there bloody Mary mix and it was excellent. I had the sausage platter and it was great. Our group also had the fish and chips and the pot pie. All items were great. The wait staff was great also. We will stop by again if we are back in town.
Always a favorite haunt! Great food and beverages.... Superb service!! Highly recommend!!
Great food and great beer. It's one of my favorite restaurants down in Old Town. Get the fish and chips or any burger. Fantastic potato wedges too.
Went with a friend to enjoy the Great Plates special dinner offerings: 2 dinners/ 2 pints and a dessert to share for $25 ( on 3/1 - 3/14/19 ) service, food and drink was excellent!! Donations benefit Larimer County Food Bank - a very worthy cause.
Enjoyed the meat lovers pizza and the beers. (Oktoberfest and Hellesbock)
Make sure to check out the green chili beer, or the ghost chili (if available)
Amazing food, unique beers, great service! Highly recommend!!!
Exceptional food and atmosphere. Throughly enjoyed.
Went here on my birthday in November and got a free birthday beer! I tried their Kolsh and really liked it. Their food was okay. I was very happy with their beer and great service.
Fantastic local pool hall with great tables and great pizza.
10/10 in every way. Food was incredible, setting very comfortable, nice ambiance and wicked fast service. A truly wonderful dining experience.
We had the green Chile beer and a milkshake IPA. The pretzels had an amazing cheese sauce the service at the bar was good. This s place has ample outdoor seating, it happened to be 95 degrees the day we were there or we would have taken advantage.
Nice pool tables and randomly good food. I've been here a few times and it's really hit or miss. With my last visit, service was pretty awful. Our server seem disinterested in wanting to help. He served me raw broccoli instead of bringing out steamed like I had asked. Then, when I mentioned it, he didn't do any thing to fix it and walked away. I had remind him of drinks after he stood by the front door chatting for 15mins.
Played pool here. they have like 10 tables and good beer. I'd come again
Yummy, affordable, great selection of beer and cocktails
Had a great time visiting this establishment with my family. . Had a few beers and played some pool. As a serious pool player. Though I have to say. The cloth on the tables and the balls could use an upgrade. Not a true players room, but a great place to have fun !!
Coopersmith's is one of my favorite restaurants in Fort Collins. Everything one might desire from a restaurant is available, great food, great atmosphere, great location and excellent staffing. There is an "adult" area as well as family friendly side.
Good beer, no wait for pool. Too much country music. Could be more bacon based options on the menu. Overall good spot
Service was adequate but some of our food was under par. In particular the Fish and Chips was so overcooked it made a banging noise hitting the plate! The Shepard's pie was made with dry meat and did not have adequate gravy. Ruben was OK and the steak was Ok.
With so many places to choose from it's doubtful we will be back. And with the horrible Fish 'n Chips I can not justify more than 2 stars.
Great drinks and that Artichoke Dip in the bread bowl was awesome! It comes with veggies for dipping so you feel less guilty.
Fish and chips were over cooked as was the trout on Colorado Po Boy. Food is typically better than this here. Good beverages and atmosphere.
This is a good place to visit with friends or family, I love the burgers and beer. The employees are friendly, the place has a layback atmosphere to it. I usually get the "Black and Bleu Burger" and a "Not Brown Ale" beer.
Had a great time in Saturday night here. No wait, sat outside facing old town square. Food was good but atmosphere was better.
Good service and a nice shady patio means I'm here almost every trip to foco.
This is a horrible place to eat or drink, most of their beers are sub par and when they screwed up our ticket and charged us for the table next to us the manager wouldn't even give me his name because he was a coward and looked like a 12 year old kid. there are many better places to eat in old town, I used to like CS but I won't be back.
I m a middle aged man and felt right at home. Treated and taken care of well. Was asked if I got my second order properly as the kitchen staff brought first order. The bourbon wings are a nice savoury light taste. The doppelbock went perfectly with them. Thank you
Nice place to hang out and our waiter was great. We had the chicken wings, fish and chips, and the buffalo burger. The buffalo burger was pretty good and tender. The rest were average good. Overall, good place for a quick meal and nice ambience in an outdoor patio.
My wife and I were very impressed with the food. Everything we had was amazing. Great beer too.
Amazing food! I had the Mac and Cheese. Delicious. Great service and good beer too.
Seriously the best food we have ever had that is within a reasonable price range. The bourbon wings and coconut shrimp are to die for and the servers are incredible as well! Highly recommend this brewery to anyone looking for some good food and beers!
There are some truly amazing dishes on the menu and the green chili beer is fantastic. If you're there in the summer months, be sure to try their watermelon beer. I once tried to get them to just bring me a huge bowl of it, but they refused. Horrible service! (Kidding, the staff is pretty great too.) Not exactly inexpensive, but one of the cheaper Old Town restaurants.
Love the food and atmosphere here! I've never had anything that wasn't excellent. All of their burgers are amazing and cooked well. Their beers are fresh and good. Highly recommend!
Loved everything about this place a must go to for a great beer sample platter
I was denied dinner and a beer here because I have MS that includes a shaky voice and unsteady walking. I was accused of being drunk, when I am not. Not handicap friendly! I refuse to accept this kind of discrimination!
Beers are outstanding, especially the double IPA and the Imperial Stout. Sample the ghost pepper ale if you dare! Food was excellent. Service at the bar from Brian and Haleigh was outstanding. We have visited many excellent brewpubs in CO and this is definitely among the best.
Best burger and sweet potato fries I have had in Ft. Collins. Ordered a pub burger "medium" and it was absolutely perfectly cooked and spiced, very flavorful. The sweet potato fries were spot on, they were thick cut with a crunchy outside soft inside. The beer selection is great and beers are delightful, they also have ciders from scrumpys, another local place here. Service was good and tenative. I would reccomend trying the spinach artichoke dip!!!
Fantastic beer!! Be sure to try the GREEN CHILE BEER! OH, the food is spectacular too.
Fun place to go to and have drinks with friends. It's a nice place.
Cask Punjabi IPA was excellent as was the schnitzel. Nice waitstaff with good service.
Food quality has gone down hill. Chicken pot pie was canned chicken, chicken a la king.
Tomatoe bisque was consistent with gravy.
There are few places in town serving up the amazing brews and flavorful soups like Coopersmith s. This restaurant captures the essence of Ft Collins. There is always a great soup to have for lunch with The Picnic. The beer cheese bread is dense and flavorful. A perfect addition to a cool cloudy day of which there are very few. I ve had most of the items in the list and my hands down is the Bangers and Mash.
Oh yea, they also brew up some of the most amazing beers in Colorado.
Really excellent schnitzel and home made root beer!
Amazing beers. We tried the What-A-Melon beer and the Ramhorn Hard Seltzer, and both tasted fantastic. Great service and both indoor and outdoor tables are available.
