El Burrito Review

I would give it 5 stars, but the lady with blonde hair is so rude every time I come in. It's like she hates her job and the customers. Never smiles and never thanks you.

Shrimp burrito was amazing. I dont do cilantro, so I can't vouch for the salsa.

Excellent food and a great value. Fast service too. I went on a Friday evening and it wasn't busy at all. Good little place.

Great food, and affordable, I just had a breakfast burrito for under $4, all burritos are under $8. Highly recommend stopping by, the cashier could have been a little more patient, as it was my first time there, others than that I am pleased, I like this business and would travel 10 miles out of my way to eat here again.

Only the name lacks flavor! We hesitated to try this place even though it's close by because the name sounds kind of generic, but there's nothing plain about the food. The flavor is great and the portions are pretty good. We usually judge Sonoran food restaurants by their red chile and it does not disappoint - meaty, spicy and no beans to fill it up - just goodness. The green chile burron is on point as well. The chips are probably the weakest part of their game, but try their green tomatillo salsa. It's bomb!

The green chili burrito is the real thing, completely off the chain.

Virtually a hole in the wall spot, this place delivers fresh ingredients with an authentic taste. You'll love the menu as they have way too many options. I like when a restaurant makes it hard for me to choose. Every burrito comes with chips and salsa and what's not to like about free food. Stop here and you're in for a treat.

Burrito was very dry meat overcooked tortilla was over heated and hard. Staff at counter nice. Food could be better and has been in previous visits a few months back.

The place closes at 8pm we walked in at 725 order was placed by 730 they said that they weren't serving any more chicken and the supervisor specified to the person working register to make sure that they were only doing Togo. Before they had mentioned that they weren't serving chicken anymore we had ordered the #3 that came with chicken when we asked if we could sub carne asada the supervisor told her we don't do substitutions. When we mentioned that we just ordered a burrito with chicken, she then proceeded to go back to the kitchen and asked the cook if they would make the burrito with carne asada instead of chicken. The cook looked over and agreed, so we were able to get our order. We decided not to dine in because of the supervisor and didn't order anything extra. The food was good and the cooks were amazing, but because of the service we were reluctant to order the food how we wanted it and our entire experience was ruined.

This place was terrible there were ants crawling on the walls the service was shitty and the food was extremely bland

Burrito co. It is a family owned order at the counter style Mexican burrito "shack" with a nice amount of seating. The menu has some great options including carne asada, barbacoa, fish, shrimp, carnitas, chorizo and more. Some items are available as a plate with rice and beans. Others as a burrito. They serve their awesome breakfast burritos all day and evening too. The machaca and egg is my favorite. The red and green hot sauce are made in house. I've never had a bad experience here. When my parents visit I bring them here to eat. They love it too. I would go here more often but the food is so good I worry about my waistline. I can honestly say the food here is better than many of the sit down Mexican restaurants I have visited in Phoenix.

My all time favorite. I have been going there for 25 years. Best food run by a great family

Awesome Place. Great food. Just realize they close at 2 PM on Sundays. Google does not have their current hours.

Overall pretty meh. Not bad food for not a bad price but not spectacular in any capacity from serving size to taste to atmosphere.

Green burrito just made me sick they don't tell you the tortilla is green

The Original Burrito Company is great for lunch. They are busy but always serve the food fast. I ordered the #36 California burrito with chicken. It was great as always. The staff is friendly. We sat out on the patio. I miss the old building patio but, the new patio is nice. I also like the breakfast burritos.

I went there on two Fridays to try their Fish burritos for the special.

The staff is always friendly, nothing wrong with anyone who works there on a social level.

But the burrito, my god, we all know that fish or shrimp aka seafood comes a certain way, not always super hot, but not cold. Both my burritos lacked flavor, but worst of all was the fact it felt like they just stuffed it with precooked fish and didn't even bother to at the very least keep the tortillas warm before wrapping, they don't even roll toast the burrito. Meaning I get a stone cold burrito. Who want's that? Not once, but twice and not even when they are slammed, that's what made it worse.

Sorry guys. I can't recommend you even at your low prices.

Stopped in with my family today after a rough flight and everything was so good! Tons of food for the price and all of it delicious and fresh. Would recommend to anyone!

I visit many different Mexican food spots very frequently, this had to of been the worst Mexican food I've tried. The food was e extremely bland and tortillas extremely stale both in my burrito and my wife's taco. Not even there beans are good. The only thing I liked here was the salsa. I will not be returning here again unless they start canning and selling there salsa. Very disappointed and I would not recommend eating here.

We absolutely Love this place! The food is like eating at my Mom's and Grandma's house! Since they are no longer here. It definitely comforts and brings back memories of the wonderful food I had growing up. The service is always made with Love. We have been coming here for years! We've used Original Burrito company as a last resort for take out Mexican food for as long as they've been in Ahwatukee. I've really tried to like this food, but the pico they put on just about everything is so bitter I can't eat it. I wonder if they over squeeze the limes? I don't know. I always ask for no pico, sometimes I get my food the way I ordered it, sometimes I still have to scrape the pico off. The weird "guacamole" has white lumps in it that resemble cottage cheese and it doesn't taste like guacamole at all. The counter staff we've encountered aren't friendly or welcoming..no smiles, just business. The red burrito I got on the last visit was so spicy hot and bitter I couldn't eat it. I offered it to my husband and even he didn't like it and threw it away. The breakfast burritos, tacos, rolled tacos and quesidillas have been good.

Hands down it's the best. Get the California Burrito with Carne Asada. Their salsa is freshly made and it's amazing.

Food was good. Pretty average chicken tacos. Found a few bones in mine, which was disappointing. Overall, service was the worst part. Both servers seem annoyed to help customers. The woman even forgot to tell me my total and got an attitude when I asked. Won't be rushing back anytime soon.

Don't waste your time--dry meat, dry tortillas, and sub-par salsa. Plenty of better places off of McDowell nearby.

Burrito Company has the best bean and cheese burritos around!! Service is amazing. Always friendly and willing to go above and beyond. I would recommend to friends and family! Love the chips and salsa too!

The Original Dog food Company. I ordered a burrito that had no flavor. Tasteless beans and rice. OMG this was gross food. Eat here if you want to overpay and be unhappy.

Had high hopes for this place based on the ratings, but yet again Arizona people don't know good food. The barbacoa burrito has lettuce in it, i assumed it was a complementary ingredient, but what i got was a salad for a burrito(85% lettuce 5% meat 10% tortilla). Their red chili tastes like pace picante sauce and the green is way over salted. My wifes carne asada burrito was decent but my sons tacos had the same issue with the lettuce.
