El Burrito Review

First time going. I loved the food and the salsa's. Best of all VERY affordable. I will be back very soon.

First-time customer, I decided to give them a try since I had heard some good things about this place. I'm really happy I did! The employees were very polite and patient with me as I ordered. I devoured the shrimp burrito; it was incredibly delicious, almost refreshing, and it was definitely the least greasy burrito I've ever had at that price. I'm genuinely impressed! The salsa was really good too! I can't wait to go back and try more of the menu

Hit or miss. The barbacoa burrito was amazing but when I got the carnitas it tasted really odd and made me painfully sick to my stomach.

Been coming here for 13+ years. Love the prices and food. We do however miss seeing Connie. She was a great asset to this place - she lights up the place with fun chatter and jokes. She puts a spark in this place - she is missed very much! Bring her back!!!

Food was great! I had green chili pork, and the pork was grilled and delicious by itself, but the green sauce, in the burrito, made it all great. Drink sizes rock, especially when other places are downsizing, and they have complimentary chips and salsa! AND, I spent less than at a Filibertos! Definitely will be returning.

This was the worst mexican food we have had. I had a chimi, it was tasteless, their beans were watery, and the rice gross, I make better rice. My husband had a Carne asada plater, he said it was disgusting. WE WILL NOT GO BACK, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY, I don't like Taco bell, but their food is way better than this place.

Worst restaurant...i was really displeased...we stayed there to eat they didnt offer any appetizer to us ..we asked they gave us a bag of chips. While giving other guest chips and dip as they waited for they food that was brought to them ..but had my husband i come pick our food up from the counter..really discussed

Food is delicious. Best tortilla, wondered if it was homemade. I always get breakfast burritos and they are generously sized. Nice casual environment. Sit outside if you can. Mmmm......

Great food, big selection of breakfast and lunch, dinner burritos and tacos. Been going to this place for years and highly recommend it. Their salsa is the best and is handmade every morning.

I eat here all the time! Love the burritos, nachos, tacos etc. The service is always excellent and the staff is super friendly.

So worth the drive to Awhutkee

So it's 01/18/2019, we are employed by a large company, a co worker places an order, go to pick it up, and when he return, there is one (1) item missing, a $7.00 sandwich. So we call the store located on 48th and Elliott, we talked to Sheila, who we explained that one of the burritos was missing, she said she didn't know what had happened to the other burrito after the bag left the store, then said they "pulled the video tape" and it clearly show they put the burrito in the bag. What blow me is, our average income here is 3K bi-weekly, today is payday, why would we want to TAKE or STEAL from the Original Burrito Co? It's crazy!!! So what we've decided to do was a CHARGE BACK on the credit card. YOU NEED TO TREAT YOUR PAYING CUSTOMERS RIGHT...THERE'S OVER 1200 OF US HERE, AND WE WILL ALL POST REVIEWS!!!

P.S. And as always, there was no manager on duty

The owner is kind and the service thoughtful. the food is delicious, especially the chimichangas

My boyfriend and I go here every weekend. The burritos are served super hot, which we love. They are really authentic flavor, most of them are pretty spicy. Service is usually super fast, we usually only wait 5-10 minutes before they call us. $5 for a delicious burrito, we are always happy customers!!

Certainly original and always a delight. For some good authentic Mexican food this place will not disappoint.

I've been going to Original Burrito Company since they were a hole in the wall many moon ago. Their prices have gone up slightly, but the quality of their food is top notch. I wish they would bring back serving chips with the breakfast burritos though.

The breakfast burrito is always fantastic, but the salsa is what makes it! And I don't even like salsa. Also, always great service :)

This is always the place I have to go when I m in town because the food is delicious, service is awesome and the employees are honest. I accidentally left my purse behind this time and they found it. Forever thankful to the sweet ladies working today.

Awesome food, especially the cheese enchiladas with red sauce $

Pretty good, not great for me overall . Best: really enjoyed the cheese enchilada with green sauce. Worst: the chips didn't seem fresh at all almost prepackaged taste. The salsa was ok , beef taco also just ok for me. The beans and rice were pretty good though. I has hoping for a little better overall but certainly not bad . I will probably give them another try at some point...

Had the simple bean and cheese burrito but let me tell you it was not that simple. For one, the taste was so good that it didn't seem like fast food.

I did give my rating so low because the blonde lady as soon as I came in looked mean and hopeless like a jailbird on death row. When she finally evaluated the my party was paying separate she motioned me over with an attitude. No high no good morning no smile. She uttered the price of the total snatched my card and practically threw it back. It appeared she didn't like people of color or just was never meant to work with people as she had the customer service ability of a simpleton of a country town of 5 residents. Don't waste your time with going here.

Yes. Yes. Yes. This place is Excellent, any time of day. The food is always.. yum tastic, shall I say.. The portions are great, service is ALWAYS pleasant..The music is supurb, the art work... There is also an adorable outside patio for dining.. if u want.. What more can u ask for. ?!?

Everytime I visit phoenix, I want a good carne asada burro, and this is where I go to get it. The employees are a bit terse, but the burritos are da bomb, so who really cares. Awesome salsa bar!

Not as good as I remembered. We got a chorizo breakfast burrito and a bacon breakfast burrito. There was a strange cinnamon-like flavor, which I first thought was in the chorizo, but it was in the bacon burrito as well. The potatoes in the chorizo burrito also had a weird flavor, like they were old or had been cooked in coconut oil. The bacon burrito didn't have potatoes, but it had a strange coconut-like flavor, too. Difficult to describe, but very strange and off-putting. Also, the lady working the counter wasn't exactly friendly. Not rude, but she seemed like she didn't really want to be there. The younger girl working with her was much friendlier. Overall it was a disappointing experience.

Loved the burritos made in homemade style tortillas. The jamaica and horchata are excellent, horchata is very cinnamon flavored.

So So food. I had the street tacos, breakfast burros, salsa. Even the fountain soda was weak. I was not impressed.

When my Granddaughter spends the night, we always make a trip to The Burrito Company. We love it! The staff is great and so is the food. Breakfast Burrito and carne asada Burrito are our favorites.

Simple menu with a lot of flavor. Clean and super friendly. Like going into a friends mom's house and she cooks her homemade old family recipe for you.

Taco Tuesday, ordered 4, meat was good, Tacos stone cold. I returned them and was told that was normal. I said it was not for me. They put my Tacos in a microwave. Hot now, yes, but oh so disappointed. So not impressed.

It's decent, and a good menu selection. Not a long wait making this perfect for a lunch break. But the food just isn't anything to brag about. Can be slightly plain depending on what you order, like unseasoned chicken wrapped in a tortilla. I don't go here very often for this reason.

Delicious food and plenty of choices. Outstanding value for money. Large portions and fresh ingredients. Fast service even during busy times.

I got a carne asada burrito and some of there tacos for lunch both where very good a fairly cheap I paid about eleven dollars for four street tacos and one burrito I ended up only eating the tacos and saved the burrito for dinner so all around well worth the trip especially on taco Tuesdays for the 1.29$ tacos

I love their food and the only reason I don't give 5 stars is because they don't sub items. How is it that my burrito that normally comes with guacamole can't be substituted with sour cream? They charge an extra $1.29!

Iv been a bug fan of this place before they relocated. But since they moved and became more popular it seems like they got more lazy. The Torillas are very doughy and under cooked. They dont put pride in their food no more.
