We loved my son's therapist, but unfortunately, the office NEVER returns calls. We had to cancel an appointment one day and they said she would call us to reschedule, and she never did. We keep trying and no one ever returns our calls. After months of trying to schedule an appointment (with our son that had ASD going without therapy), we are giving up and finding someplace else.

My 9 yr old son has made significant improvements in his behavior at school since starting therapy here, so much so that we are no longer concerned he will not pass on to the next grade. The office has a nice atmosphere while I wait for him at his appointments and the staff is helpful.

Doctors are good. But be careful sharing your credit card with these people, pay attention to any documents signed. I instructed them to bill me a certain amount and send me a bill for the rest, they decided to bill me the remaining amount the following week without asking me, appears they make you sign up for an automatic debit before services start. Bad experience.

My second child went here five years ago for anger issues. They helped him learn how to express his feelings without him using physical harm.
My oldest currently goes here for education therapy and he seems to really enjoy it.

My daughter started seeing Melanie at this practice in December 2020. My daughter has crippling anxiety and I was hoping she could help.
One of the appt we had to cancel right before because she was refusing to meet her online, crying and so upset. I did call and tell Melanie this... and that she was struggling more. She said she would get her back in ASAP. After 3 weeks of emails and phone calls to her she finally emailed me back Apologizing saying she had some stuff going on and would get her in. I have not heard from her since.
How can a presumably licensed mental health professional treat a patient this way? Absolutely unacceptable!!!
We did of course get the bill for the no show fee within days of the missed appt. So apparently billing is more important to this place than patients. Would not recommend. Save yourself the frustration.

What happened to Tamis Acres??!! several years ago...

What happened to Tamis Acres??!! several years ago, beautiful, manicured farm! Their farm and horses were so well cared for. Bought by these ECS people?? - the place is now a shambles, Green Acres, looking really run down, others I know have also commented on that. I have to drive past almost daily and several times in the last few years, horses have gotten loose out on route 29 one of the busiest roads with heavy tractor trailer traffic- happened when the farm was closed and sometimes at night, stopping traffic, people were getting out of their cars trying to corral these poor scared horses! This happened just last week early evening when the place was closed...people coming out of their houses and cars, running after these horses! Several car accidents also happened right in front of this place in the last couple years probably people looking to turn in the drive. Not a good place to have a business with tons of traffic, and too many people in and out.

This office is amazing! I've been seeing my therapist for three months and can't believe how much progress I've made. I had been seeing someone else at a different place for over a year and wasn't getting anywhere. My mom suggested changing and I'm so happy that I did. My goal is to decrease visits over the next two months and hope to stop therapy sometime soon after that. Not because I don't love my therapist but because she's helping me so much!

6-20-19 I wanted to update that I've "graduated" from therapy! I can't say enough wonderful things about ECS. My therapist was amazing and the staff was always helpful. I highly recommend ECS!

Update 1/7/20:

Update 1/7/20:
After originally leaving this review, one of the employees here actually called to file a complaint, under a different name than the one she practices with (yes, you read that correctly) to claim harassment. She was unable to provide ANYTHING that constituted harassment.

What is ACTUALLY going on is that this woman, a supposed mental health professional, didn't like the review, and lashed out by claiming harassment that never happened. Then, knowing that we wouldn't call the office anymore, they continue to bill the card they had on file.

Now, we've had to file a dispute with our bank. We were assured that no more charges would be made to our account, but obviously their promises are not kept. So, not only did they charge our card after promising not to, we don't even know what the charge is for. This is DEFINITELY one of the most deceptive, shady, and dishonest businesses I have ever dealt with.

This office is unbelievably incompetent and it feels like a therapy mill. They pump the patients in, get 53 minutes of 'therapy', bill the insurance, and get paid. That's what this place is all about.

They have no qualms about canceling appointments at the last minute but they start throwing out seventy dollar charges if they think they can claim you missed an appointment.

In fact, my wife's first appointment and all subsequent appointments were canceled with no notice. She waited on the link for twenty minutes and the 'therapist' was a no show. Were we able to charge them? OF COURSE NOT!

Regarding my child's care - we never got an email link for the appointment and then the therapist said she "had been trying to call." It turns out she had been calling the wrong number because she didn't know which number was for the patient and which was the parent. We finally got in touch with the office after several calls and were told that we would be charged for the appointment.

Additionally, junior therapists that are technically interns are given entirely too much freedom for what they can handle.

The bottom line is, they are disorganized and very quick to charge for "missed appointments" whether they miss it or not. They are rude, incompetent, and WILL do more harm than good.

They remove posts that they don't like from their Facebook page in order to make the practice look better than it is.

Needless to say, we are leaving the practice.

Intake process is cumbersome and depersonalized. Further office is unprofessional and rude and does not return calls or tolerate patients raising concerns. They definitely do not care about you as a person. Stay far away.

PLEASE do yourself a favor and READ THE REVIEWS and spare the HEARTACHE for your child and self! I have NEVER in my life experienced a mental health practice that treats their clients the way ECS Psychological does. Extremely unprofessional and will be reported to the ethics committee as the therapist has caused more harm than good to my child and myself.

As a 20 year MILITARY spouse I'm absolutely flawed at the treatment both me and my child received! My husband is also a disabled military veteran and is shocked at the way they conduct this delicate profession.

This is not about policies and procedures it's about INCOMPETENCE!!!!! First TWO appointments the "new" therapist never showed up and had cancelled appointments without ANY notice and I waited 20 minutes each time! Nobody answered the phone and just an excuse "she's new didn't know what she's doing"!
UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Mental health is not a game and treating clients like this is unacceptable and I'm warning people to steer clear! ECS Psychological is not in the best interest for you or your child especially MILITARY families! Not enough experience in this field

And not returning calls and emails is additionally disturbing you cannot run a business this way especially with a child's mental health I'm DISGUSTED and was warned but didn't listen! Many reviews are disturbing and not just on Google!!! RESEARCH yourself!

*** They try and block your opinions and how is this place reputable? A business taking advantage of vulnerable people how sad. Please go elsewhere I rarely leave negative reviews but our family is actually emotionally distraught over what has happened. Hoping others do not have to go through this.

Not very pleased with ECS themselves my Therapist ...

Not very pleased with ECS themselves my Therapist was amazing but their office sucks. After I believe 3 yrs of not going there and paying off my bill IN FULL!!! they have sent my name to a collection agency for money that I don't even owe. They do not return calls, very sad considering that they usually have two people there to answer phones and check in patients. I agree with one person that says they are more worried about money then actually helping adults or kids. I know some of the therapists have stop working there because of the money first atmosphere
