Good food, nice setting not enough parking on busy nights

My family and I came for dinner last night the 14/04 for my partners birthday. There was 8 of us and spent over $400 on food and $200 on drinks and what a waste it was! The first thing that went wrong was the table service! You re a tavern, known for steak and the first waiter comes to the table with 3 plates of steak and says who ordered the steak. 6 of us had ordered steak. In which we responded with almost all of us ordered steak so can you be more specific. So we got the reply of rib fillet, which also 5 of us has ordered. This happened immediately after with another person also. It s not difficult to give basic table service of explaining the steak in your hand. In the end 5 of the sauces were incorrect. And then came the problem of the cuts of beef. I understand that a rib fillet can look different depending on the cut but wouldn t you think you would give a table that ordered mostly rib fillets all consistent cuts? We returned one of them as it looked nothing like a rib fillet to then get it back and say it was exactly the same as the rest. I can t attach the photo I have but we took one of the same cuts of meat that were both ordered to medium rare. Does it look like that to you? Another steak we received was half rare, he had ordered medium rare and the other was medium well. How do you get that wrong? But unfortunately he was eating the rare side and was just going to eat it anyway when asked how are meals were. Not to mention the poor excuse for a salad! Which seemed like the it was 3 days old. And only had 3 elements to it. So all in all would I recommend Eaton s hill hotel to anyone? Definitely not! Would I return? Not a chance. You d think after spending over $600 you could deliver a nice meal.

Some of the staff here are so rude and unprofessional, I had spent a good $200 in the gaming room and sat down to have a drink with my partner and got told to get out if we were not gambling by the general manager. This is one of a number of times I have been harassed by staff here, I used to enjoy this place but the staff have definately changed.

What a great spot. Great value. Will be back for sure.

Only northside accommodation in its class , with a pub that can be as wild as a night out in the city or as laid back as a recliner chair.

Awesome food (eye fillet steak + reef & beef topper), great atmosphere

Hotel is overpriced and staff are rude. The function room was great for a small concert.

Whilst the show (Stephen K Amos) was amazing, the venue was extremely cramped due to the number of seats they had crammed into the room. they also did not stagger the seating meaning that due to being directly behind the patron seated in front, visibility was very limited.
On site parking was also a nightmare and the gravel car parks are really not suitable for cars with standard ride heights.

Had gnocchi with pulled pork. Only 6 gnocchi on plate and not very hot.

Huge place, music venue was hassel free and well laid out

Nice place but would not recommend the food.
Food was brought out to the table twice and still not cooked to a satisfactory standard very disapuonted for the price we paid.

I found it a really nice pub. There's a big kids area with video games and a large playground to keep the kids occupied while you enjoy a nice bit of tucker. The beers are a reasonable price and the food is delicious

A great venu for a function. Had our company Christmas breakup here. Great food and service. Staff was very attentive to our need. Never needed anything. Highly recommended.

I went to the Queen concert which was great. However the bar needs more staff. Too many people waiting in nightclub & at concert to get drinks.

Good venue for live music, but book if you want to eat before.

room was awesome i cant wait to try the top floor rooms out as the general rooms are so good I will be returning to give an over all and updated review at a later stage

Was ok has lost that Wow factor from when first opened though but overall nice place.

WOW what a place. Excellent parking & ingress and egress with traffic lights. Hotel bistros & shows with some little shop. Always a good experience.

Great little place the lighting is always so nice as well

We went for dinner without reservation they made me wait for 30 minutes then took us to a table there would have been 20 emty tables so they made us wait for nothing in the end the place was so noisy we got up and left

Eatons hill is a great pub for gigs etc. Can sometimes draws a fairly rough crowd on friday and Saturday nights and i would rather drink in the city. Its miles away from anywhere but great if you live in the boonies aka brendale, strathpine, warner etc and are too lazy to goto the city / valley. Great band venue and good for watching sports fights etc but bogan central most of the time.

ive been to the bar and restaurant several times, the bald guy who organises seating at the restaurant is rude, it seems as if he doesn t want to be there, his tone, attitude was very unwelcoming and made me and other customers (as i could see) very uncomfortable/unwelcome, there s a new pot plant with renovations (going to gambling) and swear one day it s gonna gonna fall or a child is going to knock the big obstacle over, the new renovation is nice! however the wooden chairs with no cushion is uncomfortable, the kryptonite is a fav (bit pricey), the bartender who served me were nice, a bartender called lorie/laurie and a server who was really tall, always make us feel welcomed, the place is really nice, however prices are a bit expensive

Great choice of beers, great live music, great atmosphere... food isn't the best though.

My favourite venue in Brisbane for concert's was awesome seeing yg there the gaming room and bar is also great place is kept tidy and to a high standard do recommend

Staff were very attentive and friendly, Meals were beautiful and lots of space to park.kids friendly areas.Great ambience My overall experience at the eatons and interaction with staff was good. Love the fact that staff wore aprons very professional and the cleanliness of this venue was of high standards. I will be back with my family.

Nice place to stay, didn't think it met the 4.5 stars though. But I personally don't think these days stars mean what they used to.

Great for families. Steak was a little tough and not cooked to how we asked but for the kids... epic!

Nice place to sit back with a drink in the beer garden to listen to acoustic music.

Great music. Mix of ages in crowd. Beautiful surroundings especially the huge fig tree over one of outdoor areas. Pool tables. Pokies. Dance floor with excellent effects lighting. Big screen tv's. Quick service. Good prices.

Went to the Eatons Hill Ballroom for a concert, and the event security and organization was laughably atrocious. No structure to lines, no use of cones or signage to direct people where they needed to go. Aside from security yelling at people and blaming everyone else for all the confusion. Seriously not impressed.

1.5 metre rule behind the bar but shoulder to shoulder at the bar, a joke to be honest. A bunch of wannabe coppers for bouncers who are more of a joke.

Great, versatile venue! Something for everyone. A delicious variety of food to choose from in the restaurant with live music. And there is a newly renovated, playroom for the kids right next to the dining area.
There's a variety of indoor /outdoor bars and seating areas. Fantastic DJ!
Oh and the bathrooms are kept very clean throughout the night; which is amazing considering that it is a very busy venue.

We hired the 'Lounge' for a function. Great service due to COVID-19 restrictions with our own table set up for hot drinks & platters. We were served by a friendly, dedicated staff member throughout our time there. The platters were well presented & delicious. Would definetly recommend this.

Go every year for NYD foam party. Always a great day. Just wish there was abit more shade available.

A great venue that supports live music and attracts some amazing acts.

A little different to other hotels. Walk out of the lift on your floor and it's dimly lit. Rooms are good sized but have that theme of dark, dimmed lighting. Very relaxing though! Mostly here for work trip stay over. Has an amazing pub next door, woolworths and other restaurants walking outside the hotel.

This place is fantastic! Staff amazing and the hotel itself is impeccable. Very very luxurious and fantastic value for money. Highly recommended!

Come along to and enjoy a nice warm Glass filled with Cold Beer.

Doesn't, matter what anyone writes here,people will continue to go there ,

I won t go back there in the Summer Months. See you all next Winter.

Seafood platter was atrocious. Everything overcooked. A massive waste of money

Excellent service. The rooms are immaculate. Great farm views from certain rooms. Would definitely stay here again.

Heaps of different beers on tap and a nice chilled vibe in the afternoon. Staff very friendly. I'll be back

Standard rooms at the hotel are fairly small and dark for the price but with very few options in the area, it's okay I guess. No balcony means if you smoke, you must go downstairs and find an area.The function room is okay but could be bigger with more ventilation. The club is quite nice and bar staff are friendly. For what and where it is we have had some amazing times here. Machine Head, Touch Bass and just recently, Black Tiger Sex Machine.

Very nice accomodation with friendly helpful staff. Easy to get to with great safe parking, easy access to shops and good dining. Suited our needs so well. We are looking forward to our next stay.

Stopped in for lunch and had a pizza, was pretty nice.

went here to see a comedian and was a great time, friendly bar, good security and comedy gold.

Our room was amazing, very new and very modern. Staff at the desk were polite and helpful.

These 2 dishes we ordered were beautifully cooked. Venue seemed to have had a face lift. Nice u-shaped cushioned seats for 8. 6 would have be better.
