Joe K's Brewhouse Review

While it tasted good, there was way too much cheese sauce on the name hos, making it hard to eat. Wings were good, and Louisiana Garlic sauce is the absolute best. Beers in bottle came out just on this side of cold, with staff acknowledging an issue with the cooler. Had a hard time getting attention from waitress. Got served a cold cup of coffee with Kalhua. Manager came over and asked what was wrong. Offered to make new one, or heat up first one. Didn't feel like waiting for whole new pot. Won't be back, but will miss the Louisiana Garlic sauce.

We did the axe throwing portion. It was a lot of fun. Our instructor was great, encouraging and a lot of fun!
Next time we will stay and eat. We were part of a group, we will be back!

Cool place just make sure you are done eating before u throw the axe ! There is no place to eat inside cage if more than 2 ppl

The pots used to be awesome now they're just boiled food with a sprinkle of seasoning on it. We used to love place!!! Used to be the best seafood and scenery in town now you walk in there's gate surrounding the place for people to throw axes!!! Who wants to here that while your eating!!! While ordering the waiter aggressively saids "One at a time " when no one really got an order out. He had an attitude in which anyone could see he really didn't want to be there... funny because the place was full of ax throwers and not people wanting to eat so you would think he wanted the tip. Was the worst eating experience !!!

My son took me there for my birthday,well I got sick. Will not eat there again.

Awesome, just awesome. They have great yard games in a really nice outdoor area. The axe throwing is awesome as well. They go over the safety with you and then give you a half hour to play an asortment of ganes split in to two teams. They are really hatchets but that doesnt make it any less fun! Its a great time all around.

Edit: I said half hour. I meant hour and a half.

Writing this literally while I sit here wondering where my server is.... the staff is miserably-eye-wiping tired. If they didn t have axes to throw at the wall this place would be going under.... fast. The only employee with any energy is the blonde inside ringing her bell in the cage.

Server was excellent, however, menu was limited and not up to expectations. Outside atmosphere very nice.

It was really fun and a great value for a date night. Monday's are only $10 total for a group of 4. We didn't eat there so we can't rate the food.
We will be going again and bringing friends.

The web site said Mothers eat free with a equal purchase. Did not say a limited menu. We decided to stay and watch tables leave because they were out of Prime rib and Snow crab legs. The rest of the limited menu was salads and sandwiches and 2 pasta dishes. To me this was false advertising. Doubt we will be back.

During a pandemic, I was impressed with the service.
I have passed this place for the two years I have lived here. I never saw cars and actually thought it was closed. Maybe I was passing at the wrong time. The strip mall in general where it is located is hit and miss. But I got a few ads on Facebook about specials and happy hour. So I decided to give it a try since a friend was in town to see me. This is one of the hottest days and my first time going out to eat since the pandemic started in March. I called to verify they were open and that the patio was open. Nobody answered. We decided to drive over in the heat. So we park and go inside with our masks. We were told to seat ourselves. We walked to the patio and decided to pass. We took a both inside. There was on party of two eating. The server came over. Her name was Jaime. I told her it was our first time. She was so friendly and took some time to chat. My only complaint is that Jaime never asked us our names. Other than that she was amazing. They had a limited menu. She gave us a suggestion on flavor of wings to pick. I loved the Louisiana Garlic. I usually do not like wet wings but these were good. My friend had hot wings. We both had ranch. We added a side of fries to share. The main reason we came was for the happy hour which we were too early for. In my opinion 7pm is too late to start happy hour especially on a weekday. But we still tried the spiked lemonades. They were good. We also tried the $5 clams. They were okay. But we enjoyed the booth and talking. We had a great conversation with Jamie about the rules for eating out and etc. It was just her and a bartender running the shift front of the house. Overall food was good and the service is what made the experience. I love a server that can give make confident suggestions and knows their menu. She told us about the ax throwing and how that is their main draw. I had never heard of ax throwing. So maybe when things are normal we will try it. I doubt it. But we paid and I left Jaime 20%. The patio is beautiful and when things cool down I want to have drinks and hang with some friends.

I probably wouldn't go back unless it was to throw axes again. Service was poor at the bar due to one bartender busting her tail while who I assume was the manager based on his outfit literally did nothing . The bartenders didn't help each other run the bar. Multiple people had empty drinks and we literally looked at each other at the bar like what is happening here. Food which we only got to order after 30 minutes was okay nothing amazing. This place needs a good cleaning a better manager and a different structure where all bartenders work together.

Came here for the axe throwing with Generation Axe great time and a really fun atmosphere.

this place is a fun place to hang & the staff are nice. i also enjoyed the aesthetic but the food is not so great.

Had an awesome time with my girlfriends and Steve the axpert.

The food was good (burnt onion rings though) and we had fun axe throwing. However, our axepert wasn't very personable and seemed generally bored. The waitress was incredibly inattentive and had to be tracked down to pay our bill, despite it being nowhere near busy.

Great place to meet people and has an awesome deck with firepits.

My wife and I had a great time here. Axe throwing was fun and the food was good.

Surrounded by tom foolery and shenanigans in a multi-genre bar is not my top choice for a night during the weekend. While they have many choices for activities whilst drinking, being around of a bunch of college students isn't my cup of tea.

Wednesdays $200 trivia nights are a blast! Highly recommend for a great time and testing your knowledge to win some money!

2 words. Axe Throwing.
Good service and a great set up.

Axe throwing is extremely fun. Just make sure you are aware of it if you are just coming in for dinner.
Gets loud very quick once people start throwing.

Steam Pot...was Wonderful the bomb.....ohhh lardddd...crab legs ...shrimps...sauage...potatoes...and corn on the cobb..plus the people...and the place...was real..nice...

We had a few moments where I had to walk inside to grab a waitress for things we needed. But also understand they are trying and working hard but one moment I felt she forgot about us. Covid is to blame so it won't keep me from going there and trying it again. The employees are doing their best at every restaurant I am sure. The food was still good just a very limited menu and I wasn't ready for that.

They say this is a place for work-related team building events, but reserving this place doesn't matter when people come in last minute from anywhere. I was looking for an hours worth of axe throws with my team but barely got 15 minutes. Was it fun? Sure. I'm a guy throwing hatchets at a piece of wood. Was the description right in what I was paying for? Absolutely not. This is not a place to do work-related activities as advertised.

I HAD THE MOST INTERESTING BAR EXPERIENCE EVER TODAY. THE SERVICE SUCKED THE FOOD WAS COLD NO DIPPING SAUCE FOR Onion RINGS WAS BROUGHT TO OUR TABLE. SO I COMPLAINED TO THE MANAGER. I WAS NOT QUIET ABOUT BY ANY MEANS SO THE MANAGER CALLED THE POLICE ON ME. THE NICE OFFICER Stood BESIDE ME WHILE I FINISHED MY DRINK SINCE I COULDN'T TAKE IT WITH ME. WHEN WE LEFT THE OFFICER Talked WITH MY HUSBAND & I FIR APPROXIMATELY 10 MINUTES ; HE AGREED THAT THE ESTABLISHMENT HAS GONE DOWN HILL IN THE PAST YEAR HE ALSO AGREED THAT I WAS TREATED UNFAIRLY. THIS WAS OUR FIRST & LAST TIME GOING TO THIS PLACE I DID NOT THE ONLY REASON I GAVE ONE STAR IS BECAUSE THE BARTENDER WAS THE INLY STAFF MEMBER THAT TREATED ME WITH RESPECT. THIS PLACE IS BIASED TOWARD OVER 50 PATRONS I AM 60 & MY HUSBAND IS 57. I CAN NOT UNDERSTAND HOW THEY STAY IN BUSINESS. THIS PLACE BLOWS BIG TIME.

Jesse was a fantastic bartender, super friendly and informative! Kyle made sure we were safe and had fun throwing axes and Cherella (sp?) took care of us while throwing! Prompt service and so much fun! Definitely going back soon!

They lied about axe throwing. The juices were all rancid. Wasted my time at this place waiting to throw then got bumped for online people. Terrible service and noncommunicative. Also not very clean.

This place got 3 stars only because of the amazing axe throwing instructor, Boo! The axe throwing is so much fun! The food and service were less than mediocre. It's my understanding much of the kitchen and wait staff are newer, however, get the food out, right. It wasn't only a long wait to get food, but also it was terrible, bland. Not much there for a vegetarian to have for sure and if your vegan dont bother unless you're throwing axes! That was worth the money and then some.

"Seat yourself" but i think the waitresses didnt know we arived. When she found us, service was slow and we had a mistake on the order. We split the seafood pot. Crab legs were a little rubbery so I skipped them and ate the potatoes and corn. No one got sick, just not the fresh-est
For desert we got fried oreos.
They were amazing. Came with sauce and ice cream. 6 total.

Not good for a date, unless your dating a girl who likes to have fun, or a frat boy.

They had a deck, beer pong, darts, pool (I think) and FREEKING axe throwing!

Maybe it was just that dish that was not great, but a fun place I would like to go back to with my friends.

...just not a good place to take a lady for a "nice" evening. But if she wants to roll up her sleeves and have a good time, and doesn't mind crowds, she'll thank you for it

Very slow service and gave us a check even though we weren't ready to leave. Must have been shift change.

Was here as tbe first stop in a full night crawl for a friends bachelor night. The axe throwing was a blast, with all staff being very friendly and fun. The outdoor activities were a nice way to be active and do more than just drink as well.

We also ended up here, and the only downside was some of the craziness of the people loitering in the parking lot. You'll have that sometimes, so am giving Joe K's the benefit of the doubt that it was a rarity.

First time here a couple weeks ago wasn't at all impressed with the food the service they have a limited menu and our server seemed more interested in the axe throwing than serving us...will not return here anytime soon

How can you beat throwing axes and drinking? Nice pool table friendly staff had an excellent time with my friends.

Would give zero stars if I could. Food here was trash. Atmosphere is plain. Throwing axes while being intoxicated isn't the best idea. Won't ever be coming back.

With the mixed reviews we decided to get dinner elsewhere before our Axe session.
This was first time ever and we will come back.
No one pushed drinks on us and we did not wait long when we did order the pretzel app. Which was really good!
Our Axe-pert was Kyle he did a great job teaching n helping us w throwing!

This was one of my very worst experiences at a restaurant. Took over an hour to get drinks and appetizers. The waitress wouldn t let us order apps and food together, saw the waitress very little and it was dead. Looked for staff and saw nobody to find them all in the kitchen on their phones. Ridiculous

Horrible Service. Went there for my daughter's graduation party. Had around 20 people show for this party and the waitress was HORRIBLE! She would only take up to 3 orders at a time. Drinks first, then show back up 30 minutes later or more with them to get your food order. She would forget to get drinks, food came out cold or barely warm, and she didn't come back to refill drinks or check to see how things were for 30-45 minutes. Some of our party left because it was so bad and others just didn't order anything. I had to tell her to bring a pitcher of water out just so we could have something to drink since she wasn't coming around. Food was ok, but it wasn't fresh and wasn't hot so I do not know truly how good it was. I held my tongue that night to save my daughter's party, but do note, service sucks! I had this same waitress last time we were there and she was just as bad. We hoped for a different server this time but we still seemed to have the same one. Her tips showed how bad the service was.

10 minutes at a table without a server coming by asking if we would like a drink. We finally had to ask a passing waiter for assistance. That waiter went and got another waiter. 25 minutes sitting when our beverages finally arrived.

Crabs were ok at $17 a pound. Did not like the loud oxymoron ax throw. Some were acting like barbarians.

Had a good time throwing axes. French fries with ranch sauce went quick. Moscow mule was delicious.

This is a great place to throw axes, have a drink and some bar food. Not a great restaurant. Staff were friendly, beer selection was good. Food was good for bar type food.

Very unique place, with great food! Drink are reasonably priced. Axe instructors Jordan and Spencer give great energy to regulars and beginners engaging in axe tossing. Great atmosphere to let of some steam and enjoy yourself with friends or a first date

I was very impressed by the axe throwing experience. Everyone had a guide running the games who coached us throughout to help us "succeed." The competition was friendly and a lot of fun. I've never had so much fun loosing 4 games in a row!

They only honor their advertised entertainment when it suits them. Some how it's the patrons fault they have a slow night.

not a Brewhouse, just a bar / restaurant, + has axe throwing - mostly Marco beer..

Beer is too expensive but the selection is decent. Food is similarly overpriced but decent. However, the staff is great! Good service, and the people are genuinely cool. The axe throwing is a blast and is far cheap than other places that usually charge 1.5x the price the brew house charges

The staff is super friendly and the axe throwing is out of this world fun. You are sure to have a good time. Axe throwing sessions are for 1 1/2 hrs, and Wednesdays and Sundays are $5 axe throwing nights. You can't beat it for a great night out just to enjoy yourself just to have fun for first time or as a regular

The food is pretty decent and the people running the axe throwing activity were great to hang out with. We enjoyed the fact we could order food and drinks while throwing axes. It was a lot of fun and we will be back real soon.
