I have been a patient here for nearly 6 years (since moving to CO). I have never had any issues with the staff or doctors. Normally, I pay a copay when I visit but a couple times I was told nothing was due and received a bill in the mail instead. No problem there, it's easy to call and make payments and the amounts were minimal. Reason for the 1 star rating: About a year ago I moved and failed to update my address with the office. I did not receive a $25 copay bill they had sent me. The office did not try to reach out via phone or email but instead sent the bill to collections (I always pay my bills on time and never default on them so this was a big surprise for me). As soon as I received the first notice from the collection agency I immediately got on the phone and paid the $25 balance and then called the Foothills office. The next time I called to book an appointment the receptionist informed me that I am no longer able to see my doctor. To say I'm shocked and disappointed is an understatement. As someone with excellent credit and an otherwise flawless payment history it is mind blowing to me that they would not make an exception for something so petty when it was clearly an honest mistake. As a customer who has spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars at this office and has a relationship with the doctor I have had for 6 years, this policy seems cruel. I hope they revisit this approach for their other patients. In the meantime, I'll be looking for a new doctor, much to my dismay.
