One of the nicest places I've dined at. Friendly and professional service. Phenomenal coffees with the most sublime biscotti. All food items on the menu are constantly delicious and the views of the Knysna heads top it all off. Also has a fabulous kids play area and menu. A must venture to restaurant. Special mention to Ismail for achieving service excellence.
High tide or low tide, the East Head Cafe never fails to impress!
Was very windy having to sit outside. Not comfortable at all. Management should consider putting a type of screen to reduce the icy cold wind coming from the sea. The food was good but way over priced.

This is my favourite daytime restaurant in Knysna, with great views of the heads and lagoon. The food is very yummy and I recommend their fresh hake and chips or salad. The offer great cocktails and have a good selection of wines and craft beer. Service is quick friendly and efficient and it's always a pleasure to be there. They have seating indoors for inclement weather and outdoors for warm or sunny days, all with great views. Prices are also very reasonable.

Really enjoyed our breakfast here. The coffees are fantastically strong without being bitter and served at the prefect temperature. The Huevos Rancheros is brilliant and a very generous portion size, my wife had the Eggs Hollandaise - the sauce was a little bland but overall was a great breakfast. The staff are exceptionally friendly and attentive.

Beautifully situated at the entrance of the sea to the Knysna Lagoon, providing perfect views of "The Heads". Smart white decor. Also an outside, relaxed dining area. Very good service. Good menu and selection of wines Prices generally higher than many other restaurants in the Knysna area, but perhaps the price for the location. Recommended.

Best hake ever! We came for breakfast but stayed for lunch. The 40 min wait for a table was worth it. Everything is prepared fresh and to perfection.
This is one of the few places to eat and the only one to have breakfast in Knysna Heads. It opens at 8 for breakfast. And what a location! I went here for a cappuccino and croissant. Unfortunately they don't serve pastries so I opted for the home made granola infused with ginger. Deliscious!!! Served with fresh fruits and organic yougurt. The location is stunning. You can sit outside on the terrrace overlooking the sea. Service was among the best I have experienced in South Africa. Very friendly and professional staff. Info for my trip. They also make freshly squeezed juices which are not that easy to find in South Africa. Strongly advice to go here for your breakfast. Also open for lunch.

It was as a watered down culinary experience , the food was over priced and I felt that too much hype and expense is put on because of the view and location .

Such a pretty place for a coffee or food with a view. Both indoor or outdoor seating available. Easy drive away from the 2 Head View Points. Saw a walking trail up to the view points but didn't try it. The fish and chips is yummy good. Service is quick and place is clean. Does a good tourist crowd.

This is a real gem. Seating is arranged on a split level so everyone in the restaurant has a good view through the panoramic windows out towards the Knysna Heads. We had french toast and the nicest rooi bos tea with honey.
I only went in to use the bathroom and the aroma of coffee was intoxicating! I instantly loved the place! Pure white everywhere and a buzz of laughter and kitchen noise! Loved it

Restaurant was very well organized. The Petsonal is very friendly and not pushy. The food came very quickly and was fresh and delicious.
Nothing beats the experience where you are looking at the ocean and eating excellent food prepared by an expert. However, when you arrive with an expectation, but the fish is not firm, the culinary experience kills the ambience. Good service does not make the food taste good. My suggestion would be to take this dish off the menu or rather make a fish pate, rather than having a sub-standard dish on the menu. Everything else on the menu is superb and I will continue to return to this exquisite place to eat something else that is more satisfying.
