Just love Dr. Shaffer..sorry if I misspelled that..great with my dogs and the techs are great too. The office is very clean and plenty of areas to sit..would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves their pets as family....
Took my cockatoo here he was a neglected rescue and not used to human contact. The avian vet specialist was amazing not only was she able to control the bird she was able give him a complete check up
I have 2 Norwegian Elkhounds, they got into some some sugar free chewing gum with xylitol. I was told by 3 out of 4 vets to seek immediate attention for them because it can be deadly. My regular vet was out of office and others couldn't take me, I called DuPont and they were eager to get my two dogs in as quickly as possible and assess the situation. Doctor Harry is the vet that saw me and he was amazing, he took his time to explain to me what happened, what to expect and how they were going to treat them. I was so worried that the doctor called me back personally to let me know how they were and to let me know about there blood glucose tests, he was very informative and polite. The staff was wonderful and treated me top notch while I waited to bring them home, they were curtious and wanted to make sure I knew everything before leaving. I highly recommend this vet clinic to everyone.

My dog bear needed x ray and blood work. They did not do it. Then he got worse and by time I took him to emergency septis and he died. They did not act responsibly and aggressively to save him .
The most thorough and compassionate vet office in Northeast Indiana! The staff listens, gives multiple options when they are available, and understands both our dog s needs and our financial needs. The animals (and owners) are treated with respect and kindness. We have always been seen on time and had many, many questions answered without feeling rushed.
This clinic takes such good care of all 3 of my cats. Dr Schaeffer is top notch!
My kitten died during a routine spay and declaw procedure at this clinic. Apparently her heart stopped immediately after they administered anesthesia... They blamed it on her heart being bad. Hard to believe after living with this cat running around the house full speed for hours playing with the other cat in the house. She was eating and drinking just fine. She also passed all blood tests and the physical check up just weeks before at this clinic. Sorry but I can't rightfully give a good rating.

Dr. Harry has taken care of our dogs for nearly 20 years.... including several litters of puppies we ve raised. Although you may find a vet who will take care of your pets, you would be hard-pressed to find one with as much integrity, compassion, and expertise as Dr. Harry and his entire staff. In a world where customer service seems to be a thing of the past, Dupont Veterinary Clinic is a breath of fresh air. They are intentional about operating their business with excellence and it shows!

It s beautiful inside, very clean and they have very helpful and friendly staff I take my mini pig here and since they re considered exotic it s usually more expensive but their prices are very reasonable. Also we never have to wait past our appointment time to get back to a room! I highly recommend this place whether you have an exotic pet or not

She was honest and, even if the news was not what we wanted to hear, she gave us her best medical opinion of the puppy's condition. We appreciated that! Ive been coming here for years whenever my guinea pigs are sick and Dr. Boxberger always takes great care of them, the best small animal doctor in town. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and courteous.
I m so glad that I found this vet. I bring my gecko and my kitties here. They helped us out a lot. And they always had as time. My long haired cat named cookie was missing for a few weeks and had some ticks on him, he also had many many MANY fur balls. They expected to groom him and offered medication. Everything in total was 186 dollars. Honestly I expected way way WAY much higher prices due to my old vet. I m so grateful I found this vet.
We've taken our dogs to DVC for over 10 years. The staff are incredibly friendly and take great care of your pet. My dog actually gets excited when she realizes that we're at the Vet. Highly recommend Dr Harry and staff.

My family has taken their pets here for years. We ve seen multiple veterinarians here and they re all fabulous. The environment is always friendly and welcoming. Waiting area is very spacious and has designated sides for cats and dogs which is always a plus.
Beautiful office, great vets and office staff. My issue is that I have a cat with health problems that has had us at the office several times since the beginning of the year. Used to be I could call in the morning and get in later that day. I try not to call for an appt unless it's really needed, but within the last month I always get the standard answer "sorry we are short one vet" or the vet who covers evenings "isn't here today". Do I have to wIt a day or 2 to get in, go to emergency vet (not really an option, their prices r outrageous). Or find a different vet (I did). Unfortunately my cats health has gone downhill to the point I know the end isn't too far off. Sad to feel like they don't have the time to see sick pets.

They have always taken great care of my dogs. The staff is knowledgeable and friendly as are the doctors. I trust them completely. Today I took my dogs in for an appointment amid the Covid 19 chaos. I felt that they had a very good precautionary and efficient system in place so.as to limit contact. They did a great job.
1/Our puppy got really sick after taking her to Dupont Vet. Something was clearly wrong but instead of helping they wanted us wait 3 days (didn't have any appointments available which is BS) to see her. So we went to another vet and discovered she had a very bad case of colitis. They gave her medication and she recovered. It was the worst experience I've ever had with a vet and I will NEVER be going back there
2/It's interesting that Dupont finally cares when it's on a public forum... You had your chance to even attempt to help. We called FOUR separate times in one day and literally all you had to say was, "Sure, we'll try to find 5 minutes to see your sick puppy today." It's disappointing that Dupont would let our dog suffer and not show an ounce of empathy.
Even in the craziest of times this place is professional and thorough. I could not be happier bringing our four legged family member here for her health and well being.
We love this Veterinary Clinic - This is our 3rd dog seeing a vet at this location - we moved across town yet still stay with this vet. All dr's , techs and desk staff are professional, answer your questions and give your pet the love that you would give them.
My pup had to go and have emergency surgery the same day we brought him in for the appointment. The whole staff was nice and gentle with my boy. They also helped me financially and it probably saved his life considering I couldn't find another place to work out something with the cost of surgery. My boy is recovering pretty well so far and they sent us home with everything we need. Great prices also!
We absolutely love this place. The front desk staff have excellent manners and service. It carries over into their phone calls which are very pleasant and helpful. We love our vet who takes excellent care of our animals. It is clean, professional and everything we are looking for in a veterinary Clinic.

I would absolutely recommend this clinic to anyone. They are professional, kind, clean, and knowledgeable. It's tough finding a clinic to take on new clients in the current crisis and they have the availability. Dr. Riley and the staff are fantastic to work with. They have addressed all concerns and questions I've had about my puppy. She recently had an ear infection and a week or so after her appointment the clinic called me to follow up on her recovery. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.
The kindest doctors I have ever met and I'm older and I've met a lot. They have such a love for animals and they go out of their way to be helpful. This also includes the office staff. I love this place.

We took our new puppies here today. Staff was AMAZING. Fast acting since our pups were having some problems. At first we were in an isolated room until we knew our pups were safe for other animals to be around. I didn't mind at all and when they were all clear we got into a normal room fast! The office was very clean. Staff was so loving to our girls. I didn't have to ask many questions at all because Dr. Pilla did an excellent job at informing us about everything that was going on with our girls. We did have to wait on two tests, while waiting they checked in to let us know just a little longer. I wish I could give more than 5 stars because you all are very amazing, friendly, and are very knowledgeable. As we left they were even kind enough to give us paper towels and a bag since our one girl gets car sick on each ride. We cant wait to bring our girls back for their next round of vaccinations and any future animals here as well!

I am absolutely blown away with the care and compassion I received from this clinic. I had a consult with Dr. Harry on 8/17 regarding my ten year old lab mix, and her two torn ACLs.
Dr. Harry was highly recommended from my primary Vet. Dr. Schenkel at Pine Valley. I was nervous when I got there, ready 100% to get my dog prepared for a surgery I thought she desperately needed. However, my views changed after all the time the staff spent on my dear pet. The pros and cons of the surgical options expressed.... the time they spent going over radiographs and figuring out what was best for my pet was simply astounding!
This is a Veterinary clinic I had never been to before, and I was only going to because I was told he was the best for TPLOs etc. with this review I m trying to express that I m not a regular client, but I was treated with such honesty, regarding the welfare of my pet. Where some businesses would have seen the money to be made from a potentially unnecessary surgery, this place is not like that. That doctor is not like that. My experience on Monday showed that He REALLY cares about the pets, and owners. I left the facility in awe and respect for the wonderful team.
Also, the fact that it wasn t rushed at all.... I felt like they really CARED.
I would like to express my gratitude to Dr. Harry, and Lauren who made sure to keep Havoc comfortable while it was explained what would be best. I bet the rest of the team is fantastic as well.

My little fur baby comes here for his annual check ups/ for any health problems and they have always treated him with so much love and care. Super nice people. Easy to talk to and they genuinely care for your pet. He loves getting his good boy snack at the end of his visit.

We love the doctors, techs, and staff at Dupont Veterinary Clinic! Our pooches have seen Dr. Rietdorf their entire lives (12 years for my oldest girl) and we could not be happier with their team and services.
I chose this clinic, because it is close to home and the care providers were kind to my dog. Unfortunately, my last appointment there was very disappointing. I highly recommend asking for all costs for care, tests, immunizations, and medications before you receive treatment. I did not do this and was shocked at the final bill. They recommended a change in my dog's heartworm/flea/tick preventative and neglected to mention that it was going to cost 3 TIMES AS MUCH annually. The final cost of the influenza shot they recommended was 50% more than what was quoted, and now I have to pay that again as a booster. Ask for the costs up front so you can make an educated decision about the care you choose for your pet.
Dupont Veterinary Clinic has always given our dog extraordinary care. The service from both staff and doctors has always been top notch; before, during and after each appointment. Communication has been great! Love that they send reminder emails that her meds are due or when she has an upcoming appointment. Really can't say enough great things about our experience with Dupont Veterinary Clinic! We love our vet!

Our dog hurt his neck they go him in and out in 2 hours they accommodated us with a stretcher and everything we needed to keep our dog comfortable
I am very grateful to Dr. Rietdorf who discovered what was making my cat sick; she continues to take wonderful care of him. The staff there are always polite, pleasant and easy to deal with. I highly recommend DVC.
Met with Dr. Harry to have him assess a damaged ligiment on our dog. He carefully examined Baron and clearly discussed the options for the repair. Based on his advice, a decision was made on how to move forward. Dr. Harry's assistant, Lauren, was also very professional and compassionate with our dog and the situation. The facility is clean and the team there clearly works hard to maintain scheduled appointments.
They fit our new kitten in when she came home from the shelter ill. They fit her in a 2nd time in the week when she wasn't recovered. They even followed up on Friday.
Service and care of our four legged animals is greatly appreciated.

Great people who truly care about your pets. They have a flexible schedule and can usually schedule appointments the same or next day. They even call a few days after your appointment to make sure your pet is doing okay.
They have always been excellent at taking care of my dogs eye problems and arthritis as she's getting older, she is very active and doing well. My cat recently had an emergency situation and they solved the problem and made time for her to do so . My cat was being treated for a heart condition from another vet which it appears she doesn't have . She is doing well now.
I can t thank the staff enough. They got my soon to be ( long story) Macaw in right away even though they are swamped with clients. Amazing staff! Extremely helpful and extremely knowledgeable! After a horrible first experience for our pup at a different vet in town, we decided to try Dupont Veterinary Clinic, based on reviews from friends. We were not disappointed. The waiting area is beautiful. The entire facility is clean and very organized. The staff and doctors, especially Dr. Reitdorf, are so friendly & knowledgeable! Our Zoe doesn't want to leave, even after vaccinations. She loves the attention they give her.
I brought my dog to Dr. Rietdorf and found out he has diabetes. The doctor was so patient and helpful with walking me through the details. The whole staff was wonderful and kind, from reception to the vet techs. I am so thankful to have this office to bring my lil baby to.
Expensive but it's a Fort Wayne vet so that's natural. The girls up front do a great job and are always very friendly. Vets are knowledgeable and took very good care of my dog.
We switched our 3 dogs to Dupont Veterinary Clinic this year after being displeased with the service we were receiving at Indian Creek. And boy, what an upgrade the Dupont clinic is. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The two veterinarians we saw (Dr. Tratnyek for two dogs and Dr. Maddox for one) and their technicians were all great. It can be a stressful experience taking our dogs to the vet (two of them are rescues that can get anxious easily), but the clinic made the experience very comfortable for all of us. I also appreciated not being "up-sold" on every service possible. We were given the facts about the different preventatives, bloodwork testing, and vaccines we could get and then felt comfortable and confident in making our own decisions. We will definitely be returning to Dupont clinic for all future services for our dogs.
Edit: the "report card" for each visit is so great as well! They detail all the findings from the exam. Keeping those documents for future reference will be useful ("How much did my dog weigh at the last vet visit?"..."Was there any tooth decay that the vet saw, or is this spot on my dog's tooth something new?"... Etc)
I've taken my dogs there for 5 years, staff is always friendly and prompt. It is apparent that staff and Dr's. Rietdorf and Flory truely love animals and are very thorough, knowledgeable and helpful. Always a good experience and always great care! I highly recommend.

We did have to wait for a very long time on our first visit, but we were given an unsolicited %10 discount for our patience. I've never had any medical professional value MY time before. As for our pet, she is now in remission thanks to the treatment provided at Dupont.
Highly recommend this clinic. They got us in the day I called even though we had never been there before. (Ever other vet I had called was a wait of three days upwards of two weeks.) All of the staff was super friendly & very caring towards my little guy.
DVC has helped through some very tough times with one of my dogs. I will always be grateful for the caring and concern I received from the entire staff. Everyone is always very kind and friendly. The doctors are the best. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone in search of a top notch vet clinic.
