A great non fancy but to eat. Grab a beer and some poutine.

We order the traditional it was absolutely delicious. I did read on the reviews that says covid-19 their portion has changed a bit and it's a lot smaller but by the time my poutine arrived to my table I was shocked how big it was if it is a smaller size
I shared it with another friend and it was just enough.

Had some.gen tao poutine chicken ..... really really bad ...giving it 2 stars cuz I also ordered a pizza and it was Ok ... other food items looked decent also but never again the general tao chicken poutine

They have the bestttttt reuben ever!!! The meat melts in your mouth. Service was excellent.

You want a Montreal classic what a great place to eat a famous smoke meat and their special poutine dunn's with smoke meat is one of the best in Montreal, excellent balance between fries, cheese, sauce and smoke meat that is seasoned to perfection. And the service in good even if you go during the night after a night watered or a long day of work and yes yes it is 24h so it's always time to go eat a good late-night lunch or a good lunch.

Dirty tent next to alley with lots of garbage cans and urine. Maybe you'd better sit inside, but outside is no fun.

First smoked meat sandwich I ever had. Was very good. (Locals will tell you it's not the same as pastrami - while close, I agree smoked meat is it's own delicious thing) The waiter did a great job explaining the different options and made me comfortable. Was my first food stop in Montreal and I'd definitely go again.

We eat really well. The meals are excellent. I recommend the smoked meat. But take a little one. Because it is a sacred dish .. For the most greedy you can take a big but it will be at your own risk

Whenever I'm craving classic comfort food, I always think of Dunn's. Their smoked meat sandwich is amazing, but my favourite is the Smoked Meat Club. It's a great twist on what made them famous! The service is always reliable, friendly and accommodating, making this one of my top go-to restaurants in the city.

Its a great place to be. Offer couple dishes from poutine to pizza and other chicken dishes but the special is the smoked meat sandwich. The taste is great and the qantity of food is great as well. The smoked meat sandwich is served with salad fries and the sandwich itself which is served in corn bread. An amazing sandwich with amazing ambiance is what makes dunn sandwich so good.

Diner deccore. Service was quick and friendly. My wife had slipped on some ice on the way and our server got her an ice pack which was nice. It was in the morning so my smoked meat plate didn't come with fires which I would have preferred. The smoked meat itself was flavorful and moist. The Cole slaw was delicious.

Such a cute place and friendly staff. As soon as we came in we got treated very well, like old friends that haven't seen in a while. Very love their dunn's famous carbonara pasta, it is amazingly good (recommend 100%). Their louisiana soup has cheese, potatoe, bacon crumbs and green onions. It tastes delightful! The portions are huge and even a pasta can be share for two! Love to come here anytime of the day because they are opened 24/7.

Be prepared to leave hungry. They cannot manage the kitchen and do not side with the customers. I and 4 of my friends went there to have dinner late at night. They brought us the menus to let us choose. Afterwards, when we were about to order, they tell us they need to clean the kitchen vents so they cannot cook anything that is not fast. So far acceptable. We order, and then they bring us 3 of our 5 orders. What happened to the others that we chose to meet your speed requirement? Some guys at the kitchen had messed up but were not willing to prepare anything else, they tell us. Apoligizing they offer us a ridiculous 10 % discount for wasting our time and making sure some of us go hungry. When I told them this they upped the discount to 15 % which is still ridiculous. I would have walked off if my friends did not want to stay despite the mess.

Staff were friendly and accomodating. I had a nice lunch while the kids got their hair cut at the barbershop upstairs. Will most likely make this a regular stop.

Best Montreal Smoked Meat I've had in years. Heaping portions and different cuts of meat (lean medium fatty). All so good.

Open late, which is what we needed after a late flight. Great meat, lovely slaw. Barkeep even played nice when I plied him with beginner French.

What's better than 24/7 smoked meat and some poutine at 3am? This stuff is delicious. Staff works hard and does a good job. There isn't really a wait. Way better than Schwartz. They even sell little packets at Costco that's how good it is!

Great deli open 24 hrs. When all else is closed this is one of the few places that will not disappoint.

The poutine is at Dunn's I discovered this typical dish. I did not know how to finish as it was hearty. Friendly staff. Extremely rich food, watch out for calories!

Uninterested service from my waitress. The Smoked Meat poutine was dry and of a smaller portion than I remember. I'd give a point to say I can't take anything off from the taste.
I could have made this at home but wanted to feel the cozy good vibe I had back then when I ate there regularly as a student.
For the price and better smoked meat, there are other establishments.

Came here on a visit to Montreal for the smoked meat and loved it!

Heard Montreal was famous for its smoked meats, so I had to try it out, and Dunn's seemed convenient. The sandwich was delicious and a good-sized portion, and they gave me a bottle of vinegar to soak it in (because I love vinegar). Would definitely come back again.

Service was great, I couldn t leave Montreal without a smoked meat sandwich. It was pretty good. The poutine was alright but maybe my expectations were too high. Overall I d come back but not for the poutine.

Way before poutine was a thing, Montreal was famous for being the city that brought the "Montreal Smoked Meat Sandwich" to the world. It may look similar, but it is not to be confused with the New York Pastrami sandwich, which is famous in its own right. They are cousins with similarities and differences. Several Montreal delis claim that they were the ones that invented - or brought over from the old continent - the smoked meat sandwich as we know it today. One such place is Dunn's, very convenient for its location downtown. It's been serving the sandwich for a long time.

Good smoked meat sandwich at a reasonable value too

Very good smoked meat coming dangerously close to Schwartz's. Open 24h which is very convenient. Very good location, right in the city center. With the cinema literally 30 seconds from the restaurant, Dunn's helps create beautiful little parties.

The food was good, the environment clean, the service... The service was very abrupt and unfriendly. I'm not sure if it was just the guy who served us but he was quite curt. The wait wasn't bad at all - the food came quickly and the poutine was quite tasty.

Super nice restaurant with a retro look, the place is warm and the staff treats us with diligence and respect.

I saw two bloggers talking about it as what the poutine was fantastic there and they were right!

The portions are generous, the fries are tender and crisp, the cheese moderate and the ingredients are delicious!

The price is also moderate ($ 14-16), but I consider it much more than acceptable, given the quality of the experience.

I've had smoked meat at Reuben's, Greenspot, The Main, Lester's Deli, Schwartz and Dunn's. My top of the list is Schwartz, but if you're ever downtown, feel like having smoked meat and don't want to go all the way to the Plateau for the best smoked meat sandwiches in town, then this is the next best option.

Food is ok but prices are expensive not really worth it if you want to have a big meal.
