Place looks beautiful but the experience was completely ruined by the bartender the minute my wife and I walked in here. Despite there only being 1 customer at the bar, we did not even get greeted with a smile or frieblndly glance. We awkwardly stood by the bar without our presence being acknowledged until we called her over to ask what there was to drink on tap or about happy hour specials. We tipped anyway but I have to say I have never felt so unwelcome at a bar in this part of town. We were prepared to kill 2-3 hours here before catching a later train, instead we just closed out our tab at the end of the first round and couldn't wait to finish up just so we can go somewhere more welcoming.

68 Jay St Bar is known as the bar on the corner. It is always crowded everyday of the week. Fridays are especially popular. Happy hour specials run until 7pm. This keeps the after work crowd coming back. People just love it.

Great after work spot. Staff has always been great on every visit. No hit or miss here. Music is always good. Give them a try you will love this place. It has a good neighborhood vibe to it.

Great local bar. Too bad the new residential neighbors (who chose to buy next to a bar), have essentially forced them to end their music by 11pm. Such a shame - they have some great musicians come through!

Loved the seating on the next room over. Had a great time relaxing and chatting with a friend under dim lighting. The blondie bartender was kick-ass and she made my friend the perfect cocktails.

I was here today for a beer with friends. The service was extremely rude. We asked for a receipt and she gave us a piece of paper , we asked why we couldn't have a receipt and she didn't even brother responding. Some people asked to use the bathroom and she denied claiming it's customers only. Overall she was extremely rude and unpleasant.

As a DUMBO shill, I have been to this place on several occasions. I think it's the number one place people have goodbye parties when they leave Etsy. They have good drinks and a chill atmosphere. I am a fan of the mobile seating. Their decor is a little random, but hey. Drinks in the dark is still drinks.

Was showing some family members round the area and stopped by for a quick drink. The bartender, a Irish lady, acted incredibly rude and distant and almost like she didn't want us to be there. Felt kind of awkward and unwelcome.

Place is fine. Happy hour is reasonable. Service was good. Beer selection needs work, and I think they could do well with adding a little more live entertainment on the opposite side. Would really drive the crowd more here on the week nights. I really think this could be a great watering hole for the all the workers in the area, but they don't throw many events. Overall, if you are just in the area to grab a beer, maybe spend some time writing in a journal or chatting with the people you are with, this is a good place to be.
