Tom Witkop was appointed to my grandson as his Public Defender, wasn't sure if he would do a good job and was thinking about trying to find money to hire a lawyer with the edging of my family. I looked at the reviews and found that Tom was the best lawyer to handle my grandson's case. This was my grandson's first run in with the court system and I must say Tom did an excellent job representing him in court. My husband told me later that he was very impressed with the way he handle everything and his speaking to the job let him know that Mr. Witkop was very knowledgeable about his craft. He was professional, attentive and very pleasant to work with. He was committed to get my grandson the best outcome. I'm not sure if this is a law shared by other states, but in Maryland if you hit the person infront of you by law you are at fault, even if they slam their brakes after cutting you off. Attorney Witkop stunned the court room with a "thrust" that the judge had no choice but to approve. On a technical fact of the entire criminal theft case, which he made note of a day prior to the day of the trial.
