It is the best school. It has amazing teachers and students. It has so many different activities to participate in, like sports, drama and other extracurricular activities. I love attending this school and it has given me an amazing experience. I love all the friends I have made and I would not have changed the time I spent here in anyway

As a student in ASD for 13 years now, I have to say this school is a mess. The teachers are rude, disrespectful, impolite, inconsiderate and most importantly ungracious. Teachers treat their students with the utmost disrespect. During school hours they are abusive, disruptive and they feel very empowered to do whatever they want. For example, in my geometry class, I had done my homework and brought it in the next day to show in class. However, it was in my bag at the start of class and had forgotten to take it out and when the teacher came by to collect it was still in my bag. As I went down to get it she stopped me from getting it and said: " it no longer counts as you were not ready to present it". Really? Another example I have is during my Physical education. When the teacher calls everyone to meet in the middle he expects them to sprint as fast as physically possible to the middle and if not done we will be forced to run vigorously back and forth until he is satisfied. And my final example is of the principal of the school. In our school, there is a certain problem of children vaping in the washrooms which is another reason not to send your child to this school. So one time at the end of the day me and my friends met up in the high school cafeteria and planned to walk to gate five which is on the elementary half of the school. We had decided to use the elementary bathroom which is around 0.25 miles away from where the principals usually roam. And what had happened was that one of the principals had followed me and my friends to the elementary bathroom and walked inside. And on no regular day does the principal even visit the elementary side of the school and there he was in the bathroom with us and had followed us. He then proceeded to say " wow no way I can never catch a break from you guys." to further prove my point he didn't even use the restroom just watched us for one minute and asked us to leave as he followed us again to gate 5. Let me get to the point. Teachers in front of parents act like angels. But when parents aren't around they act like they have all the power in the world. But what I don' think they understand is that the only reason they have food on their table or a roof over their head or clothes to wear is because of us. It's because of the students paying your salaries. For some reason, they do not understand that and treat us horrendously. To conclude please save your money and time and do not enroll your children in the American School Of Dubai there are far better options. Take my advice as I have been in this school for 13 years and unfortunately have to stay here for another 2 years. ( and also teachers are incompetent at teaching their subjects. I am positive some students can teach it far better. Thank You.

ASD is probably the best school you can attend in Dubai. Middle and High school are particularly good.
ASD is an excellent school. The staff is super efficient and incredibly helpful. My son is in 6th grade in ASD from New York because the staff made this possible. Our relocation was expedited due to ASD's staff.

This is the best school in Dubai hands down. Faculty and facilities are top notch as well as the education I received. Teachers make themselves very available to students and I always felt like they were personally invested in helping me and other students succeed... even when I wasn t the most compliant and easy to teach/help student.

I attended this school and had a great experience - the teachers and staff were very nice and professional and the facilities on campus were beautiful. The school also offers many extracurriculars and activities outside of regular course content, making it very easy to get involved.
It s not a profit school. They are not inclusive as in Sen students which is an absolute shame.but education is Number 1 in the UAE.
