Booked and paid for a twin room in October 2016 for June 2017. Arrived to dirty bathroom, double bed (as did other guests who booked twin rooms), curtains torn and broken hooks leaving them hanging, cigarette burn on windowsill but the smell of the room was by far the worst point! Positively awful like rotten food. Sleepless night as no other rooms available. Central position, nice reception staff but would not book again.

Lots of space for parking which is free if you register ur number plare, spacious reception area. The receptionist was not very friendly which took me a back a little! The conference space was good n drinks provided were satisfactory.

Fresh look from out side and good food hear, rooms very large and everything you need. Rooms slightly dated would benefit from freshing up. Generally all good and good location. Biggest problem I came across was parking was very limited. But there was 24hr parking not too far away.

The Dragon is located right in the middle of Swansea and is ideal for those visiting the city for shopping or leisure. The rooms are well appointed if a little dated - but in a welcoming way as opposed to the plastic & carbon copied rooms of chain hotels.

There is severely limited parking, which I've been lucky with each time I stayed (sorry man in BMW who was beaten to the last space) but there are NCP car parks close by.

The restaurant is welcoming, breakfast is good and coffee superb. The staff seem slightly confused by the idea of room service, but I put that down to the welsh being more social than most!

One of the better hotels I've stayed in - and I stay in a lot. The highlight has to be the smiley reception team, to whom everything seems to be 'fablus'.

We are never coming back this was the worst hotel I have been too, there were BED BUGS which bit me and the overall hygiene was below average, the night staff at the reception is very disorganized and unhelpful its a total waste of money please do not book this hotel and you can thank me later. NEVER AGAIN TOTAL DISGRACE

The 4 star Dragon Hotel. What a major let down. When we booked this stay we were hoping for a comfortable little get away in the city of Swansea. Unfortunately, this didn't happen. Instead we were greeted by a dirty room, that was missing promised features.

A summary of my complaints:
Someone else's toe nail clippings littered the floor around the bed. (photo attached)
There was no hair dryer, no spare pillows, and no telephone. All of which are promised on the website.
The bathrooms extractor fan did not work.
The bathroom mirror had lights and a heated surface, these were broken.
There was a large volume of Mold and damp growing on the window and in the window frame.
The TV remote did not work.
The bed was extremely uncomfortable.
The room had no sound insulation. You could hear every thing in the building. I'll leave you to imagine the things you hear from other guests when they think they aren't heard.
The free hot breakfast was not hot or barely a breakfast. See photo attached. Go to maccies instead.
The shower had 2 settings off or melt your face. You decide.
The complimentary toiletries were nice, however we got 4 shampoos and nothing else. Could have done with some body wash.
Staff were not friendly but with so many complaints maybe that's expected.
We were over charged 10 pound for the room. This was offered back as a refund when we left.

A summary of the things I liked:
Huge TV in room.
Lots of coffee, tea and sugars in the room at arrival.
Great views from the moldy window.

I'm sure others will have had a better experience than us. However, I cannot see past my experience and will not be staying here again.

Reception staff were great, breakfast crew less helpful. Biggest issue was the EV charging points. The hotel had ICE'd both their EV chargers with fossils! These spaces need to be coned off and selfish guests should be fined for misuse. Once a guest has parked up you wont get them out! Lets down hotel and the promoted convenience to EV drivers that secures bookings.

Might look a bit dated from the outside, but there is nothing to complain about inside, rooms have everything you need, the staff are helpful and friendly and there is even a complimentary gym and swimming pool.

Being welcomed by the reception team on my arrival was the best service I have received in a long time while visiting a hotel. The hotel its self is well designed and the appearance all-round including the room is very well made

Fairly disappointing stay at The Dragon Hotel. Definitely not the 4 star advertised. Well situated and staff is faultless but this is a run down budget hotel. Rooms lack maintenance and proper cleaning. Would not go back or recommend. Entrance was litter strewn, mould in shower, stained carpet and bed headboard, dusty furniture, to name a a few.

The sat nav given does not take into account the new one way system so we found the hotel but to get to the car park was a bit confusing other than that We had a comfortable night. There is a charge for their car park and breakfast is a grab and go. I couldn't say what that was like because we left early. The hotel is well placed for the shops.

Room was freezing when I arrived and took me an hour to figure out how to turn the air conditioning on. The small wooden floored area outside the bathroom was sticky. Found out the next morning that it was due to glue from a protective covering used when new air conditioning was installed. And the corridor light wasn't working, so it was hard to find the slot for the key card. Apart from these minor problems, the room was very clean and adequate for one night. The staff were pleasant but didn't seem bothered about the floor issue and only apologised for the light situation. I can highly recommend the bar and brasserie on the ground floor.

Pleasant Hotel in the center of Swansea. Accessible 5 minutes from the train station with GWR trains to London.
Small coffee tea kit in the room.
Bathroom products without specific brand.
View from the bedroom to the back rather clear.
View from the breakfast room on the first floor rather pleasant.

Please note that there is a 4G smartphone in the room that we can take with us, which Dati tourist guide, GPS with Google Maps, and which can also be used to make free calls. It's interesting, I didn't know.

No VOD television, too bad!

So overall, good experience.
