Quick, comfortable emergency service attended by excellent professionals

This review is based on my visit in September 2019...

This review is based on my visit in September 2019. I had a very good experience. The German nurse and Dr Lucia Hernandez who helped me where very kind and supportive. The communication with the nurse was very peasant and also with the after care was great!! Also at the reception I didn't have to wait to long before getting helped. I didn't give it 5 stars because it's a bit difficult to get in touch with Teknon when trying to make a telephone appointments. The choice of English is not offered but when you asked to speak to English they are happy to transfers you...but I think it would be good to have that available so you don't feel like you are a bother because sometimes you can be kept on the line for a while and transferred to at least 4 people before having an English speaker. However if this is all I can "complain about" then not too bad....overall was satisfied with my experience in the hospital!

the problem with the Teknon: it IS a Spanish-Catalan clinic, so no-one really speaks English at the reception. Spanish population did not learn English in school during Franco's time, so the elderly that treat us therefore don't speak a word.
However mostly all doctors do. And then the service is excellent!
I personally had some really unfriendly nurses treating me (not even worth 1star) because I was not Spanish or Catalan, but then there are the nice ones and the excellent doctors, the beautiful location. Makes up for 5 stars.

Excellent medical center, my family and I always go when something happens to us. I had a triple hernia operation when I was barely 1 month old, when I was older I had meniscus surgery, my meniscus sister and crossed, my father of the heart, my mother of varicose veins. All successful and great result. And whenever we have gone to the Emergency Department or we have gone to do any type of test, the treatment has been excellent. 100% recommended!
