One of the coolest comic book store I've seen in the country. This should be your go to place if you live in the city.
I went on comic book day and got there around 12:30pm. They were handing out 3 free comics that day of your choice of the ones that were selected. They also had famous writers and comic artists there. I'm not gonna lie, the place was packed, bit definitely worth it if your a big geek like me.
On the days when it's not comic book day, the place isn't packed at all and they have a huge selection of comics to choose from. They can even order you one if the company is still making prints of it.
I'm not a comic fan. Happened upon this place with some relatives that were visiting over the holidays. I was really impressed with the overall experience.
The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. Also the best selection and quantities around
great selection as always, new issues were in stock and they had a solid selection of back issues. was able to pick up copies of the last two issues of Saga as well as the newest one, and get copies of all 4 issues of Bendis's run on Superman. highly recommended.
Doctor No's has one of the most comprehensive collections of trade paperbacks I've ever seen. I usually drive past other stores to get to Doctor No's. They have a large selection of Art and instruction books, an incredible kids content area, and usually have things I never saw in any preview or catalog or post so it's a great place to find things that you didn't even know you needed to have in your life.
Great selection of comics and graphic novels. Friendly staff. Appreciate the recommendations they give; found several new series to enjoy as a result. Love being able to pre-order comics. Best comic shop in the Metro Atlanta area.
Awesome selection of comics and comicon toys a child's dream store for you adults who still love those enjoyable times from our past
Very Friendly service . Also quality comics , table top games and toys etc. I definetly will be coming back soon.
My brother brought me over for some comic nostalgia. Helpful staff and excellent selection of comic books. I purchased the Parts 1, 2, and 3 DCs Deceased series. Cool:)
Great comic and game store. The employees are friendly, knowledgeable, and their selection is superb. If they don't have it, they're happy to order it for you. I can't recommend this place enough.
Good group of people. Card box prices are not competitive at all. They should bring their pricing in-line with other stores like Raven's Nest.
I've visited a lot of comic shops over the years and Dr. No's is without a doubt, the cleanest, best stocked and most well managed store I know of. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful and the atmosphere is always welcoming. I always look forward to Wednesday night (new comics day) visits. Just a great place to shop.
A little to expensive for me. They were charging $14.99 for Marvel Hip-Hop Variant covers. Magic Cards were $3.99. Pop Vinyl Figures were also overpriced, well some of them were. Looked at some Board Games and they were $20 - $40 more then Amazon. Unless you need somthing right away I would recommend going somewhere else.
Huge selection. Half of the store is comics and the other half is games
Great place to find those new issues or old ones you're missing
Huge selection of table top games and accessories. Good comic selection, but above all they have a very friendly and knowledgeable staff!
Great selection of comics - tons of new releases, modern comics, as well as back issues. Tons of TPBs and hardcovers as well. Staff is nice enough and quite helpful.
However, they have a few bad practices which you should be aware of:
- They mark up prices on single issues as early as a week after release.
- They re-seal unsealed books so that they appear brand new to potential buyers.
- They hike up prices on books that are out of stock at Diamond (comic book/graphic novel supplier). Following secondary market/eBay prices on TPBs/HCs is not a normal practice for brick & mortar stores.
- Windows have no shades or UV protection, so the spines of all books at the front of the store are fading from sun damage.
If you find something you want there at MSRP, you better buy immediately it because when you come back it could be double that price!
Super helpful staff that does a great job staying organized and finding the comics I had in mind when walking in
Awesome store, huge selection and the staff are very knowledgeable!!
Awesome comic, graphic novel, and novelty toy store!
The gentleman at the counter tried very hard to find the books we were looking for even with very limited information. Great selection of comics, games and memorabilia!
Very helpful staff, my boyfriend had some questions about coming and the were able to tell him what he needed to know to find the book he was looking for
I LOVE Dr. No's, it's the biggest Comic Book store I've been to yet. They are in a somewhat hard to find/off the beaten path of location but have good parking, seating in store, and really knowledgable employees who actually seem like they actually want to be there. I would say their only downside is they do seem to charge more for comics/some of their nerd merch. than some of their competitors. I think it's because they have such a monopoly with their selection and size, though.
Staff is very helpful, and female friendly. Has a whole lot of books, so great selection and lots of game nights.
I came in earlier today with my daughter and needed help finding some decent games. The two ladies working both helped me. julie (I think) gave me some Munchkin info and the other (cute, taller blonde) gave me tons of info and suggestions about other games as well. I just wanted to say thanks and that your staff does its job very well! My 6 yr old won 5 out of the 9 games of Family Fluxx we played since getting home and is now hooked on the game. =)
Great selection, but more importantly, an incredibly friendly staff.
Great selection. Prices are a little high, but they have good quality stuff.
Place is awesome. Very friendly staff. Coming from my home store in Florida (Colliseum of Comics) it's just as good.
It's a very cool store and has tons of old and new comics. They also have figures, magic, comic book, supplies, and books. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Ask them for comics to pull before the release date or for their book with comic keys
Dr. No's is, hands down, one of the top ten comic stores in the country. The backstroke on comics and trade paperbacks is larger than I have ever seen in any store, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and unlike some stores where it feels like you're entering a troll cave (and the troll isn't so sure how he feels about you looking at his stuff) the store is well lit, spacious and always clean. The selection of collectables is vast, and as an added bonus there's a subscription service to guarantee that you never miss out on any of the titles you're looking for.
It just doesn't get any better.
Love this place. They always have what I need and they're so friendly.
They have a wide selection of games (and comics though I don't peruse that side as often), but I've most often left the store empty handed and irritated. They routinely price items higher than MSRP, going so far as to cover up prices printed directly on products. I've seen as much as a 20% markup on some things. There's plenty of other game stores in the area that don't do this, and I'm tired of being disappointed on every trip here.
Awesome place for a great selection of comics and games. Staff is always pleasant and willing to help with suggestions.
I just returned to collecting comics after taking a hiatus for many years. For me, Dr. No's is a mix of good and bad. I will start with the good. The employees are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. I was so impressed by one gentleman who not only knew his stuff, but sat with me on the floor to thumb through comics. A very rare thing these days for an employee to do such a thing. Also, the selection of comics here is very good.
Now the bad. Dr. No's is very overpriced on many back issue, variant comic books, and supplies. I had picked up a selection of back issues and a variant cover to restart my collection. I later learned the I way overpaid for many of my selections. Yes, bad on my part not to do my research, but I don't like feeling like I got burned and had hoped I was trusting the experts as I resumed collecting. I have asked about whether prices were negotiable on subsequent visits and am always told to speak to the owner, who isn't there. Employees seem knowledgeable enough to have some discretion to make these decisions. After all, I am sure many items have been sitting in back issues for a while and one would hope to make a sale at a more updated price.
Overall, I really want to like this place, but I often cringe at some of the prices.
Just a amazing place! Cliff helped me find volume 1 spiderman book witch was great but then he took the time and talked about Steve Ditko witch was just great. I highly recommend stopping there if you can
Overly-large selection with decent service. Not as friendly as some of the smaller shops in the area, but their selection of graphic novels, gamea/rpgs, and recent comics can't be beat.
Great variety and selection of board games, trading cards, comics, and collectibles!
Biggest and best shop I've ever been in. From popular to obscure, they have everything!
I will never go here again. I went to find a book that just came out and was a hot book. Selling for above retail on Ebay. I found the book here, but unfortunately, the shop decided that it wan't to capitalize on the excitement around the book and I had to spend almost 10x cover price to buy the book. I could purchase it for retail, and buy $26 worth of other merchandise, or I could get a gift certificate, or buy the book for $30. What kind of business practice is this? This place will never get my business again, and I encourage you to take your business elsewhere as well. I hope my $30 was worth it.
After reading the Owner's Response: I was looking for issue 76 as well, called another shop and they had it, and asked if I wanted 77 as well. I asked if it was regular price and they said yes. That is customer service. No matter what you might think your regulars like or don't like.
This is an awesome place to find that comic and collectors item. Knowledgeable staff and attentive service.
Want to experience a different place than you have ever been? Check out this comic book store that has lots more than just comics! They have a wide variety to appease children and adults imaginations! We love to come check all the variety and see something different every time we are there! I love this place!
The guys at Dr. No's always find what I want and the price is always right
I checked out Dr No comics to price the expansion packs for various Star Wars starship battle games and found the individual small single ship packs like the Tie Advanced....etc to be around $16 versus $14.99 at other stores. The packs with capitol ships like the Imperial Star Destroyer to be $10 to $12 more than Hobby Lobby and Dr No didn't have near the selection. Additionally, I was in the store for about 25 minutes and my presence wasn't acknowledged. I'll stick with Hobby Lobby. I wrote this in your parking lot Sunday afternoon at about 4 pm
Friendly knowledgeable staff. Wish their board game prices weren't so high.
Really cool small game store with vast variety of Comic books and Board Games, it's really cool
Wow. I am amazed by some of the reviews I read.
First, let me say it is the best store in all of Atlanta. The atmosphere is great. The selection is superb for both comics and gaming.
I have found staff at other locations to be cold or indifferent. The staff At Dr. No's always say hello when I walk in the door and I am approached at least once to see if there is anything I need. When there was something I could not locate it they ordered it for me. When one guy could not answer my questions about RPG's he immediately hooked me up with the staff member that could.
I am not sure what people are expecting, but think this place is the best.
Cliff is incredibly pleasant, courteous, and professional over the phone. I called regarding a retailer question and he was very prompt in answering my questions about a service they use(d).
Although I have not had the opportunity to visit in person, I am very much looking forward to when I am able!
There was a good selection of comic books, including some manga and a kid friendly section.
Always support your local comic store! They're nice and will help you find exactly what you need.
This has been my go to shop since high School 30 years ago for my RPG needs. Great staff, friendly and knowledgeable.
Good selection of trade paperbacks/graphic novels and current back issues. I also enjoy the selection of tabletop games.
Knowledgeable and personable staff. Enjoyed this trip, took my son for his first trip to Dr. No's.
Their staff is friendly and they have a large selection of nearly everything, but their prices are not competitive with the other local shops.
Last time i step in this store. They seem purely greedy, i asked them for information about my comics they straight up said we don't buy comics that aren't 60 70's and mint condition. Not that i was going to sell them there but meaning they only buy rare mint condition comics. So next question was since you don't buy comics what would you say the condition of the comics are. Answer "We do appraisals at $12 dollars a comic or you can buy our book and guess yourself." Just went up there to get a little guidance on comics and found out not to waste anyone's time. BE FOREWARNED!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Purely unhelpful and greedy, so watch what you spend because its not like they are handing out any favors.
So many items you won't see anywhere else! Super knowledgeable staff and great prices. Could easily shop for hours and find entirely too many things to buy.
Dr. No's is my favorite local comic book shop and game store!
Very helpful getting some comic books for my son. Huge selection.
They put stamps and stickers on all their Free Comic Book Day books (really annoying if you're a collector) and limited everyone to three per person. Their markups are ridiculous. Their game prices are really high. BUT. The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful.
Good selection and very helpful staff. Plus their Free Comic Book Day events are great!
came here to buy card sleeves, ask the employee which one would fit my trading card game. I bought it tries to put it in, but it not fit at all. it was way too small. You can't return stuff when u bought here. I recommend people buy stuff from amazon instead or do some research. The price is pretty high too way expensive than Walmart.
Edit: This is kinda not true, i waited for like 5 6 hours before decide to write a review. The store manager wasn't contact me, they just ask and I quoted "What sleeve brand is that". That it0, if they told me i could return it i would go there and get a different one. I already ordered a different sleeve from amazon after i assumed i can't return it anymore.
Fantastic local/small business to pick up your favorite comics, books dice, or game! We love to look at all the new card and board games.
They offer gift certificates too!
One of the best game and comic shops in the area. I stop in regularly to check up on recent RPG's and board games. Staff is generally friendly, knowledgable, and really helpful.
I have been playing games at Dr now for almost 20 years. They are not the cheapest, but the clean play room, great selection and seeviceake me come back for that long l.
Thanks guys.
I love this place. I don't get to go often as I live a little far but it's my favorite place to go when looking for comics and a friendly atmosphere.
Fantastic Gentleman helped me pick out just the right MTG box from their huge selection. A++
