I just returned to collecting comics after taking a hiatus for many years. For me, Dr. No's is a mix of good and bad. I will start with the good. The employees are extremely knowledgeable and very friendly. I was so impressed by one gentleman who not only knew his stuff, but sat with me on the floor to thumb through comics. A very rare thing these days for an employee to do such a thing. Also, the selection of comics here is very good.

Now the bad. Dr. No's is very overpriced on many back issue, variant comic books, and supplies. I had picked up a selection of back issues and a variant cover to restart my collection. I later learned the I way overpaid for many of my selections. Yes, bad on my part not to do my research, but I don't like feeling like I got burned and had hoped I was trusting the experts as I resumed collecting. I have asked about whether prices were negotiable on subsequent visits and am always told to speak to the owner, who isn't there. Employees seem knowledgeable enough to have some discretion to make these decisions. After all, I am sure many items have been sitting in back issues for a while and one would hope to make a sale at a more updated price.

Overall, I really want to like this place, but I often cringe at some of the prices.
