I recently had a company picnic with my company at Wantagh Park, where Dover Caterers are the exclusive catering company, and I had the most pleasant experience!! The staff was extremely friendly and the food was not only so delicious and fresh, but plentiful as well. My coworkers and I had a fantastic time all thanks to them. Can't wait for the next company picnic!!
Whatever you do, DO NOT host a party here (or probably at any County Park). If you want to bring in ANY entertainment from a DJ, to catering, a magician, blow ups, etc...you are required to use one vendor only. The County parks are all "in bed with" the Dover Group who provides kickbacks for every service you pay for. The owners of The Dover Group understand that THE COUNTY PARKS are their customer....not the consumer paying for their services. So don't expect too much customer service.
If you have ever thrown a kids party, you know its pretty inexpensive to get magicians, face painters, balloonists for 2-4 hours. With Dover Group, the prices are inflated 2-3 times. It is $375 for an hour w/ a magician. A Face painter is $295 for an hour. Blow ups are there for 4 hrs and start at $595 and go up over $1000. You cannot bring ANY outside entertainment in, so you are stuck paying inflated prices. Nassau County goes to bid on these things with companies and usually picks the company that will kick the most back to the county so.... spare yourself the price gauging. And forget the cost to cater, your better off cooking on the grills provided or cooking at home and lugging it in.
As if it wasn't bad enough that you spend $1500 on 1 face painter, 1 magician and the cheapest bouncy house you can find.....if Dover Group messes up your reservation and puts the wrong date on your contract, you are out of luck! Your party has a disaster start when people show up and the kids you invited have no entertainment, so they leave early. If you are lucky, the onsite staff might search for entertainment in the park and send them over to your party when they become free. But don't worry, Dover Group will NOT refund you a single thing because "you signed the contract" and they "accommodated you".
Maybe these were all just hard learning lessons for me, but I could have thrown the same party in my yard for 1/4 of the cost, stress and tears that I spent on the party I recently did with The Dover Group. Lesson Learned.
They helped me throw my sister the BEST baby shower ever! They were so professional with coming into my house and setting everything up! It was nice having them take care of everything.
This was the worst experience in my life with customer services, Kelly and Britney has the worst dealing with customers! This will be the last time I book a party through them....they are not understanding after booking a horrible pool party. I called them and tried to speak to the manager of the catering place and she refuse to let us speak to him! Never again the prices are ridiculous to have such poor customer service!
This guy was on Fox n Friends this morning saying that paid bereavement leave will derail his company. Sounds like a wonderful boss. "What's next, paying their rent?" "Its scary" Were his exact words.
Used them for a picnic- absolutely delicious! They were extremely professional and the set-up/break-down and service was great!
I m still trying to get in contact with the person who handles the catering here and I haven t received any information and every time I call back I get a rude response saying the person isn t in yet. I have received no information whatsoever and this catering place seems really great online. I don t want to give up but the rude person who handles this deserves this review.

NEGATIVE STARS!!!All the high ratings are obviously fake and probably their own employees. Even after explaining to them a tragic situation why I couldn't have my baby shower they refused to refund my deposit. After 1 week!!! I was throwing my own baby shower and they are extremely over priced! I had no choice when you used a Nassau county park you get F*****d because you can't use any outside caterers. Crockery or no party... Massive crooks all about keeping money for themselves no kind of respect or decency for other people. They make all these promises to call and work something out and blah blah blah all a good talk but zero action whatsoever. With the death came a price. And I'll remember it forever...Heartless crooks.

We went to The Coral House. Food and Service were outstanding. Friendly staff and beautifully decorated. Very enjoyable.
Dover caters my family reunion every year and they really are a very professional company. We always have our party at Eisenhower Park in Westbury and Dover caters everything! They also have rentals so we were able to get an inflatable slide for all the kids at the party - which was a real hit....I have used Dover for the past 3 years and am a very happy customer!!
Forced to use dover caterers at a county park. The food was terrible and extremely over priced. Not allowed to use outside catering for food Monopoly on food service?!? Some politicians' pockets are being lined and its disgusting to see how they are the one and only exclusive food service provider and able to price gouge as they have no competition allowed in.
The Dover Group is a phenomenal place for all of your hospitality needs! Dover caterers and Dream Events planned our picnic at Eisenhower park and it was outstanding! It went so well we contacted Dream Events again for a 50th birthday party that we held at one of their venues, The Sands on Lido. It was fantastic!! Pricing was very reasonable, their attention to detail is phenomenal, they're fantastic at customer service. 10/10 recommend to EVERYONE!!
