Maliblue Oyster Bar Review

Very nice and clean very pricey but its very relaxing place

Both times i been there they've closed their kitchen early :(

My chicken sandwich was loaded up with just the right amount of guacamole and beans. Thank you Malibu!

Had the raaynors chicken promo on Saturday I went last year and wasn't crazy about it and then tried it again this year hoping you guys got it together sadly the place is VERY unorganized the chicken is bland and tasteless my food was luke warm please stick to the seafood business your much better at that as this isnt a review for the seafood restaurant it's for the chicken promotion only obvioulsy raay nors went out of business for a reason stop embarrassing it and let it rest peacefully!!!

Food was very good!!! Then enjoyed the live music from the band, Mystic!! Great place to go!!

Over priced food and poor service. My wife and I were one of three couples sitting on the patio. We asked to move to one of the 40 open tables with an umbrella. They said absolutely no. We couldn't believe it so we got up and lift. Three weeks later we went for a beer, the deal (written on two separate signs before entering) "$2 domestic beers from 12-4pm". We bought the beer at 3:50.Pm. The bartender said bud light and corona only. Charged me $5. I complained and once again nothing happen. We were blown off. I will NEVER return.

Great food and a fabulous environment plus enjoyable live music. Only complaint was that we were served our food 50 minutes after we ordered, appetizers and main course came at the same time. Some other patrons that came after us were served their orders, ate and went before we got our food., quite disappointing. After complaining, they gave us free dessert. Some of the food was cold.

My Beau and I had Lobster Roll with Fries, Baked Clams and Lobster Mac n Cheese. That was the Best! It was so good. Most places shred the lobster, but this place gives u big chunks of lobster I'm the roll. Omg! The Baked Clams are Well seasoned! Yes! N that Mac n Cheese..... C'mon! Its Mac n Cheese with lobster....... need I say anymore?

Went in on raaynors chicken promo. LOL! Most unorganized, they were more interested in news networks present than customers. We all thought manager was the person who greeted us & kept promising us service, turns out it was the publicist! They gave us free lemonade while we were waiting, my glass was filthy with some crud so it turned me off. Still in the spirit of things I ordered a daiquiri which tasted like a failed attempt of a margarita (my friend was given a flat coke!). After waiting over 1 hour, I gave up waiting & decided to leave. Only plus was young waiter was extremely nice and they comped the horrible drinks. I gave the waiter a gratuity because it wasn't his fault.

Absolutely loved this spot. Went a couple times last summer. Good times.

Great ambiance.. Great location, however the food is extremely over priced for what they are serving. The menu is not true to what you receive the wait staff rushes you and on top of that the beer they serve are moldy

So I guess you have to be part of the club to eat here and enjoy the place. I called because I was camping in Nickerson Beach and we wanted to go somewhere and have some food and drinks nearby and the girl on the phone said you need to have a cabana in the club to come here. Glad I didn t go without calling first. Big bummer because from where I was camping the music sounded pretty good. I had to take my money elsewhere! Maybe someday I can Join the club!!!

If I could give less than a star, I would. We ordered as soon as we sat down and waited for one hour for food and the only thing we got was water ! I never leave reviews but this was truly the WORST dining experience I've ever had!

Monday night, Lobster special. $21.95 for 1.5 lb Lobster, salad, potatoes & corn. Live band or DJ. Beautiful summer evening, but can be very windy.

There's always a wait, but the food is decent and there's outdoor seating with live music and views of the cabanas, which is really nice.

There were lots of empty tables and we were told that they weren't seating people unless they had a reservation. When I asked if they were reserved for anyone they said no. Lots of people were walking out. Over priced and the staff were very unfriendly

I love coming here with my family and friends to enjoy the awesome bands they have and amazing cocktails!!

Just not our old Raynors...maybe near end of Friday Eve service...got there about 8:30......greasy chicken, hard cold corn fritters, biscuits dry salad had way too much bitter lettuces...no seasoning to anything...sweet potatoes good...best thing was my appetizer shrimp cocktail...was with my girlfriend who never knew of Raynoors...was excited to take her...well, that turned out n/g!!!...best thing was there was absolutely no wait as had been long wait in previous days...would have been total bummer if had to wait 1 to 1 1/2 hours and then eat this disaster!!!...Once again, Original Raynoors it wasn't even close!!!

Nice, clean, we'll stocked bar. Friendly, attentive service. Only had the calamari with sweet chili sauce, and it was excellent.

Never had a complaint until my last visit yesterday. They advertise $5 mojitos then I was charged $14 for one and had to point out the sign to get the advertised price. After finishing one drink I ordered another my father was in a bathing suit shirtless. This is a beach bar and now they're telling us we have to leave. I think they didn't want to honor the advertised drink prices. To top it all off the place was completely empty being a Monday afternoon and they're still kicking us out. It wasn't like this last year. Seems like employees aren't up to date on things very unorganized. I can't imagine what it would be like packed.

Awesome scenery and atmosphere but limited menu so we ended up leaving. Menu seemed to cater to cabanas rather than diners.

The atmosphere is very nice and the music is too. We had an issue with one of the bartenders, he was really nasty and had no manners. He doesn't know how to talk to customers and the manager from the bar acted the same, informal. Need to work on customer service with their bartenders. But the show and restaurant were very nice and had an aesthetically pleasing environment.

Was expecting oysters since it's in the name. No oysters. Just expensive food that was not worth the price. Waitress was awesome but we are not going back.

Nice ambiance and water-front location. However, the food is mediocre and service is slow. Stick to drinks and appetizers, enjoy the live music, and have a good time.

Great place to go during the summer time. It's near the beach. You can eat , drink and listen to live music .

My family and I had high hopes for Maliblue. We have heard great things over the years from friends. Sorry to say but I don't think we will ever be going back. Our waitress was nice and the band was great. However when you have to wait 20 minutes for drinks (half of our party ordered sodas) and almost 2 hours to get your dinner.... I think that is completely unacceptable. For the price I would expect 100% better service and management in the kitchen.

This place is really a family-friendly place, from its much coveted & difficult to get Cabanas to the pool, playgrounds etc., etc.. The nightly music bands make for a great celebrating salute to summer. The restaurant prices are a bit high, but the food is excellent and there's LOTS of parking. Overall a great place.

Disappointed that there was no live music when we arrived. Granted it was 8pm , but summertime on Long Island by the beach? Food and service was good even though they were closing at nine. Didn't feel rushed by staff until busboy started closing the umbrella while we were still eating.
Wouldn't deter me from bringing myself and others again however.

I've always loved going to Malibu for the outdoor summer concerts... We would get there a little early, get an outside table with a view of the band, eat dinner and enjoy the show... Of course while drinking the infamous fish bowl drinks... However something changed midsummer... They put our favorite band in a tent & charged admission to see them! You can't see them from the tables because it's enclosed... You can't go watch them if you happen to be at your Cabana, without paying extra even tho the concerts is part of their sales pitch & there is no place to sit in this tent! I think this was a sad attempt to squeeze more money out of a popular band's following. Needless to say we did not attend tent nights...

Greatly enjoyed the all too brief return of RAAY-NOR'S Famous Chicken menu at Maliblue. Everything was terrific, just as I remembered it. Friendly, helpful staff and quick efficient service made for an excellent overall experience.

Pretty good dinner. Lobster Taco's were great. Burger was big and loads of fries

nice music, sound like a great idea, but horrible food, not the best service.
When we come in the first thing they told us that the kitchen is closing in 5 minutes, to bad we did come 10 minutes later.
It s a beach joint, burgers, hotdogs, fries and beer.
The oyster bar had no oysters!!!

Great place for a warm night to sit out by the ocean breezes, have food and drink and listen to some great music! My cousin's band played here Tuesday night on June 20th. They'll be back again on another Tuesday in July and August, dates to be TBA. The name of the band is Valley Blues. They play blues and classic rock. On Tuesday nights they have $1 oysters and clams, $5 frozen drink specials and tap beer specials. The menu has some good food but the prices are a bit high. Wait staff is young and energetic although a bit sporadic.

Monday Lobster Night is Delicious! Service was a bit slow and we had to request several required items at least 3 times before we got it. (Example: silverware, refills, & napkins) Serious patients required if you eat here.

I ahve gone to MOB close to 20 times over the years, way too many people expect way too much for a $15 meal, Its a seasonal place and does VERY well in keeping up, plus the live music is a great touch.. 2fer happy Hour w 2 beers for $6. Love this place,,,

I arrive at this outstanding restaurant many times because I enjoy the special atmosphere that is part of this restaurant. The staff is exceptionally welcoming and professional. The service is very rapid. Needless to say, the food you get is good. I frequent often and I was always happy. The payment is fair. I suggest this place to to all.

Favorite summer spot!! Fantastic reasonably priced menu, indoor and outdoor seating and live music!!! Killer drinks and awesome beach vibe. Hands down best LI spot!

Limited menu. Good drink selection. Not as "by the water" as I expected.

They hold tables for people . The security likes to puff there chests if you look at them wrong. The music is nice and food ok.

Food is pricy and only fair. Service is disorganized. Only good part is the music.

Just had all you can eat crab legs at $15. 95 they were delicious and the waitress was very good kept asking if you wanted more crab legs or another drink or even just water and it was nice sitting out and hearing the ocean in the background.

Looking forward to another great season at Maliblue !!!!!

Wait staff was good but I get the receipt and the total was 50.28 cents but I was charged 50.30 cents and when I asked about the difference I was advised they round up the nearest nickle which means i (everyone)was overcharged.

The service was good, the food tasty and the atmosphere good...as the night progress the breeze from the ocean was great. Once it started to get crowded they started to push us out them we notice the sign...two guess...one hour....4 guess...1hour and 30 minutes. We were at our seat for two hours. Wow ...expensive! !!!!!

I love the small plates and drink specials, always good service when I come.

Drove all the way there only to find out there was a $25 parking fee just to get in. Seriously? Maybe they should list that on their website....or they could have let us know when we called to make a reservation. Drove there for nothing. We called the manager about it and she was rude and not helpful.
