Doubletree Hotel Badgerland Bar and Grill Review

Had my parents stay there for the weekend and they loved it.

Outstanding customer service!! Clean, modern, well-equipped, excellent location.

Lovely people working there. The rooms were spotless. Due to the virus, we had the entire floor to ourselves. I felt like a VIP. Location was excellent for seeing the town and the campus.

Great room and affordable options, especially for being in the city. The grill below and the parking are good extras too.

Dry sheets, cute receptionists, hot shower. Perfect

I've stayed here multiple times over the past few years, although I haven't been there within the last 6 months until my most recent stay. They have done a great job of making updates to the hotel: added shower doors to the open showers, using the room key for parking instead of tokens. The location is great and walking distance from dining locations in downtown Madison, but if you don't want to walk they offer a shuttle service which is convenient.

Location is equidistant between the UW campus and the state capitol/state street. Rooms were very nice

This hotel deserves a 5-star rating. My daughter and I were exhibiting artists in the Art Show on the Square and it was our first time in town. We got back late, exhausted, dirty and hungry. We did room service from the restaurant several times because the food was sooooooo good. The Chef deserves an attaboy. The room was very well laid out. It had lots of USB charging areas, and the beds were really comfortable. My daughter and I have long thick heavy hair and the shower heads were fabulous. We were shocked when our hair was went in ONE blast! We loved the art show and hope to be accepted again.... and we will most certainly stay here.

Hotel rooms have been recently updated, particularly the bathroom. The sales staff is amazing and the food at the restaurant is quite good.

Quality rooms consistent with the double tree name.

Great place for drinks if your staying there. But they only had one bar tender working right after a game

Very nice hotel & amenities for a reasonable rate. Parking was a tad confusing if you've never visited before, as you need to pull up front and check-in before being able to access one of the free lots using your room key. However, the rooms are very nice & restaurant options were delicious. Plus, who doesn't love a warm cookie when checking in ;)

Generally a good stay whenever I am in town for business. In-hotel restaurant is usually a good place to eat if you aren t heading out to eat.

If you don't know how great the FREE cookies are at the front desk, you're missing out! Comfortable beds, spacious rooms, and conveniently located in downtown Madison. Highly recommend it!

We only stopped to drop off people but it was a nice place with nice rooms. I did get stuck in the front drive as it's quite small and more than 3 cars stops everything.

Great downtown hotel in ideal location. Some construction going on in lobby right now, but it didn't disrupt my stay. Excellent breakfast. Fridge, microwave, and safe in room.

We had a nice stay here. Staff was very attentive and accommodating. Rooms were clean and shower was very nice.

Parking was hard to understan as it appears to be gated.

Clean and convenient to State St. Bar was great as well.

We very much enjoyed our stay. I was very happy to find that this hotel doesn't nickel and dime you like other hotels. On-call shuttle pickup from the airport for no charge. No charge for the waters in the room. Cookie at check-in. No charge for hotel guest parking. Rooms are what you'd expect for the price. Definitely would stay here again!

Attended seminar at the hotel and found the staff very friendly and the hotel to be well kept and clean. Food was excellent.

The location is the convienent with how close it is the the university and the room is very nice.

Good location if you going to a basketball game and despite the proximity it wasn't noisy except for at the restaurant. Comfy beds and spacious rooms. Very courteous housekeepers and hotel staff. Would stay again.

Ate at the Badgerland Bar and grill on Sunday (mother's day) and the day after uw commencement. We really lucked out, that we were able to get in somewhere. The place wasn't too busy at all. Very much has a hotel restaurant/dining area vibe. You could chose between regular menu items ($8-12), Buffet ($15) or order items individually ($2-8). We were a group of 5 and we used all of these options. However, unless you are a guest or friend of a guest in the hotel you are not able to use the parking ramp.

Refrigerator AND microwave IN THE ROOM.... What a way to accommodate the guest!!!!!!

Good service at the bar and restaurant at the first floor. Went to a seminar there. Easy to find and park.

We booked our wedding hotel block at DoubleTree by Hilton in Madison, WI and it was great. The rooms and views were beautiful and they were also able to accommodate a shuttle service for our guests back from the reception. The morning after the wedding they coordinated a brunch for our friends and family and this also turned out great. Very friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely recommend!

We have had our holiday party here for the last couple years and the service and staff have been absolutely outstanding!! Would recommend them for any company that wants to have their party there!!!

Ridiculously overpriced on a football weekend. Had to call to get my deposit back on the rooms that I reserved but my friends stayed in. Service friendly and cookies were delicious.

The cookies were amazing. The popcorn was amazing. The free water was life saving. The shower was wild.

This hotel does full-service the best of any I've visited all year! Plus, the complementary parking usually makes this location a better deal, even when rates are slightly higher.

Bar was easily accessible from street near parking. Bartender was very friendly and was clearly friends with other customers who frequented the place. Food was slightly pricey but had large servings and was very good.

Very nice Hotel. A bit pricey and breakfast wasn't included. Hotel accommodated me by letting me cancel one day of a two day booking without any waiver fees etc.

Great location! But I paid $220 a night and only got "limited" wifi and breakfast was extra. Worth it if you want to be withing walking distance of the University and a lot of great restaurants, but you can get a similar room with better Internet at other national branded hotels in the city.

Staff were friendly and relaxed. Food was good at the restaurant. While the elevators are a little cramped, the actual rooms had ample space. My only real complaint is that the showers don't have doors and therefore can't be closed. It's an interesting artistic choice for sure.

Clean room and very friendly service. Bar had good food and drinks for hotel bar prices. Great walking distance to Kohl center and local watering holes.
