Doubletree Hotel Badgerland Bar and Grill Review

Great location and free parking. You don't really need a car if you are visiting the university. The parking around the campus is really difficult and scarce. Everything is at a walkable distance. And DoubleTree offers free shuttle to the airport.

Central location, and the warm cookies they provide are something of a guilty pleasure!

We love to stay here when we come to Madison. Staff are great, rooms are comfy, hotel is clean and the location is perfect. We enjoy the restaurant / bar for either breakfast or a nightcap, and you can't go wrong with the warm cookies.

Clean, comfortable property. Staff was attentive to the small details associated with the seminar I attended there. I'd definitely return.

The hotel was in a good location for what I needed with a nice view of the Capitol building. The rooms were nice, clean, spacious, and the same can be said for the bathroom. The staff was nice and polite. Not much more to ask for, but also nothing that absolutely wowed me, hence the four stars.

I actually stay here a lot because of my job. It's always a great stay. The staff is cool and relaxed, and the breakfast is awesome. The rooms are what you expect from a Hilton, so it's a good time in general.

The chairs were relatively comfortable and the meeting space was large. The food provided was good, as well... Oh and the cookies! Yum!

My family and I stayed here the week of thanksgiving. The rooms were very nice, clean and roomy. The staff were very nice and helpful. Some went above and beyond when I was looking for coffee at 5am before the resteraunt opened they found me a cup and creamer too. Absolutely will stay here again!

Living in Chicago and working in Madison during the week, I spend three nights a week in Madison hotels. I recently switched from a different chain to the DoubleTree, and I was blown away by how much of an upgrade it was! Clean, comfortable, and modern with great food and great service. I'll never go back to the other hotel!

We had a great time. We came in to Madison for the Game Taste of the Midwest. The staff was super friendly and there were warm cookies during check in. Loved it, and would definitely stay here again.

Held a 3 day conference here. The staff was so helpful with setup and providing everything needed.

Nice stay only thing to watch was being charged for premium internet for first day. They reversed the charge without any issue.

Room was up to date. But lighting in bathroom was a bit dim, also the shower was badly designed. There was no threshold to keep water from wetting the floor next to the shower. Otherwise, everything else was clean. Centrally located, very near the capitol building. Walk less than 15 minutes to it via State Street. Also, check out the Bassett Brunch across the road for a sumptuous breakfast or lunch.

Great service and a really clean, fresh room. It really pays to sign up for their loyalty program. I barely have any status, but they upgraded me to a nicer room, because it was a slow weekend. Parking was convenient as well.

I was there attending a ServeSafe class. The employees were very helpful when I needed something printed. They let me use the business center even though I wasn't a guest.

Incredible hotel with incredible hospitality staff! The rooms were lovely and the staff was very kind and accommodating. We are Hilton Honors members who were very pleased with the entire experience. My personal favorite was how they make sure to add personal touches through complimentary treats in the rooms.

Great hotel, accessible too many places downtown. Very good staff, very attentive. The only issue is no Continental breakfast. They have a buffet which cost 17 bucks.

Bathrooms and sheets were clean, no complaints whatsoever

Doubletree was so accommodating to our wedding party. They allowed us to keep our cars parked in their parking garage after many members of the party had already checked out and shuttled us to and from the church several times in one evening. The staff was always present and helpful. Would highly recommend!

Nice and quiet, staff was polite. Place was clean and bright. Ate and drank before a Badger hockey game. Beer and food were pricey. $7 drafts of Spotted Cow and Rocky's Revenge. $11.95 for burger and extra $1.50 for fries. Skip the cheese curds.

They were very accommodating. We had a big party and had a mix up with our reservation and they worked it out for us without a hint of frustration. I'll always stay her when I'm in Madison. The cookies were just a bonus!

Here for a murder mystery so not a lot with the hotel experienced. The bar was a good place to get a drink. They had a number of local brews. The conference room the event was in was right sized and they didn't seat to many people at the tables so it remained comfortable.

Very nice and exclusive hotel. The most suprising for me was delicious breakfast. Bed was very comfortable, the bathroom clean. It was pleasure for me to spend a time there

I had the best experience with the Double Tree in Madison over this past week for my daughter's wedding. Everyone I worked with or met was helpful, courteous and friendly. They went out of their way to make things go seamlessly. They helped get the wedding party and our guests to events on time- always waiting and ready to go. I left something at the hotel and the courtesy van brought me back and waited to get me back as quickly as possible. I highly recommend them and would stay here again in a heartbeat!!!

They were remodeling at the time of our visit, so I do feel this affected our stay. Their parking was extremely limiting and inconvenient. The staff was kind which is the only reason for more than 1 star.

This hotel is always a good pick. Clean and the staff is attentive. Plus the showers have great pressure!

Great hotel, warm cookie at check in and free bottled water and popcorn in room. Rooms are a little on the older side and can benefit from updating. Centrally located by UW campus with on site parking and restaurant.

Hotel restaurant and bar is one of the most friendly places I've been too.

Nice building, solid rooms, but food leaves a bit to be desired

My sister, niece and I stayed here last Saturday, 11/22/14. Nice greeting from hotel staff with warm cookies and a lovely room. The next morning I wandered to the restaurant for coffee and staff promply got a carrier for my 3 cups, asked if I needed any help carrying it and then gave it to me (there was a sign for $2 for to go coffee). I walked to the elevator and a housekeeping staff member was there holding the door for me. We checked out and shopped State St that day returning hours later, wet from rain and asked if we might be able to get a towel to dry off our hair. Promptly towels showed up for all of us and again, warm cookies. Mind you were had checked out that morning and this was now 5pm. We stayed here 2 years ago and the service then was extraordinary as well. I would highly recommend this hotel and know I will be staying here again. Thanks again

The DoubleTree is in a great location in Madison, just a few blocks from State Street. Free parking, rooms were clean, very friendly staff, and got a couple of warm cookies on check in and check out. Would definitely stay there again.

The Doubletree in Madison is my absolute favorite hotel to stay at when traveling for work... The rooms are newly redone and so comfy for sleeping and the staff is some of the nicest out there! I look forward to the times I get to travel there! Also, the snacks and amenities upon arrival are some of the best I've had as well!

I had the best stay at the DoubleTree Madison! From the minute I walked in the door I was met with smiles from the staff (and also the delicious chocolate chip cookies they hand out)! My room was perfect and had a great view of the capitol. The hotel is in a great location and is a short walk away from many restaurants/bars/shops. I have stayed here for both business and pleasure and would recommend for both! If you are in the Madison area, you should definitely stay here!

The DoubleTree is always very accommodating when I stay with them, letting me park with a traiker. The staff is friendly, but not as accommodating as some other Hilton hotels I've stayed at

Nicely remodeled from way back in the HoJo's days. Had not been back for a long time. Great cookies. Service was great. Good parking lot. Would of liked to have seen a continental breakfast for the price. Nice bed and bedding. Good shower. Will return.
