A beautiful hotel! The people were so nice. The beaches were easy to access. We had so much fun! Dana Point has so many restaurants and parks. So much fun wandering around.

It should not be affiliated with the Hilton brand. Stained sofa cushion in our ocean front room. Small balcony with stained furniture. Rooftop bar with nonworking fire pit. No basic toiletries...I forgot my toothbrush..front desk personnel were oblivious and fake to my complaints. Too bad...great location and view.

Worst hotel that I have ever stayed in and way to pricey for how ran down it was. I don t write reviews but when you rent a room for four nights and spend almost a $1000.00 on a room you should get what you re paying for. The room was dirty, porch screen was torn up, bathroom mirror was cracked, it looks like there was a pet stain by the door that never was cleaned up, bath tub was stained from soap scum, bath tub was clogged with hair and plastic that I had to clean up because water was filling up the bathtub, rusty doors, shower door wouldn t close all the way because a screw, stain under the sink, stain sink, sink plug would work, and they advertised that there s a heated pool and the pool wasn t heated at all. The parking garage pipe leaked water everywhere, and they charge for parking with no valet until the weekend. Not to mention breakfast was a bust. It was coffee and pastries in bags. There s no microwave in the rooms and the restaurant is closed so if you have buy food from the store there s no way to heat it up in your room. Only one elevator is working so it takes about ten mins to get to the fourth floor from the garage if it s a busy time of the day. Location and view was great but the hotel isn t worth the price. I said something to the front desk workers about the pool and nothing was ever done. We left the pool area shortly after and the staff wouldn t even look at us. They were to busy chatting with each other. The heated pool was the only reason why I even wanted to stay there. I will never go back to a Hilton again.

A bit difficult to get to and from. Lot's of U-turns. Decent walk to the beach (except that a lot of Doheny was closed for construction during my stay). Walkable to restaurants and shops in the Dana Point Harbor.
We did not like the Barn Door bathroom closures - not very practical.

The best part about our stay was the small Rooftop 30th bday celebration that we hosted for my daughter. It was lovely and the Manager Gil made it all possible. He was so accommodating. We could not have hosted our friends and family without his help. With all that said we will never stay here again. The place needs to be completely remodel. The sofas in all three rooms were either ripped or stain. The tubs in all three rooms were so dirty or stained or both that we were so uncomfortable bathing that I literally wiped them down with my disinfecting wipes. The furniture looked like it had been chewed up in all three rooms.
We were supposed to get free breakfast while we stayed there. However, we went to get breakfast, they handed us a menu, we gave them our vouchers. Once we got our food she handed me a bill for $28 and she said what we ordered was a upgrade and that our voucher were for Continental breakfast only. No where in there did it say Continental breakfast anywhere, nor did it say it on the menu. Not to mention I was over charged for our stay. I used was overcharged by $560. I was charged 3 pet deposit and we had 1 pet. Thank goodness I caught that and they reimbursed $450. Here it is 1 week later and the $1297 hold which suppose to be $771 is still on my card. It's still so much that I could go on about. The location is great,, across from the beach but never ever Again.

Great location by Doheny beach. It s the closest option for walking to the beach. There is few food places within walking distance so you could have a few days of fun with our leaving the hotel at all. They give you delicious cookies when you check in and will give you more if you ask.
When you walk in the lobby is nice and service was amazing.
The hotel is a nice size as it has 3 double beds.
The bathroom has a barn door which has cracks so it s not very private it s also translucent so everyone can see your outline and what you are doing. The bathroom is also right next to the bed so that limits privacy as well.
We did request house keeping one day and they didn t show up. Also housekeeping left two masks from the previous guests in our room.
Overall would stay again.

The Double Tree brand is wonderful and I enjoy my stays usually. The Pandemic changed so much for all of us, but at least they are doing the best to keep everyone safe. Check on what amenities are open during this time.

Great location. Very nice room. Very reasonable rates. We would stay there again if we were in the area.

Had a wonderful time here. The staff was friendly and attentive. Rooms were clean, very comfortable beds. Nice pool. Close go beach. Loved watching all the surfers from our balcony. Would stay again.

Stayed the night at the hotel here and decided to give this place a shot. The breakfast was OK but I don't think the price justified what I got! Granted I ordered a bacon egg and cheese sandwich which is pretty standard and basic as far as breakfast meals go but I wasn't expecting to literally get something that looks like you'd make at home with basic kitchen items. The bread is what made me second guess my choice. It was your standard run of the mill wheat Wonder Bread. It tasted good but for my breakfast to come out to $20, I was definitely hoping for a bit more. I understand that restaurants connected to hotels generally are a little pricier than if it was a standalone but for those prices, at least present it on a plate that looks like it's a $20 plate.
The breakfast potato's tasted great though. I will give them that.
Server was extra nice and accommodating and the ambience was fun. Surf beach vibe. If ever staying here again, albeit convenient, just based of price, I'll probably go to the IHOP up the street.
