Very good place for an event. Roomy and comfortable. Places for food. Elegant lobby area. Nice and clean bathrooms.

I stay here routinely for work. On numerous occasions I have waited over half an hour for the airport shuttle that supposedly runs every 20 minutes. Texting to the number provided by the automated phone system gets no response and the front desk knows nothing about what the shuttle is doing.
Each time I stay at this hotel it s a different experience! I like that there is an airport shuttle, but the late night staff isn t helpful at all! I like the rooms in the South Tower way better than the rooms in the North tower! It s your average double tree!
This play has the worst parking, the worse customer service and the restaurants is terrible. The parking has very limited parking and I was told I would not be charged since there was no spots for me. Well when I went to check out and was charged, the "manager" couldn't reverse the charges at that time and told me he would have them reversed. Well, that was one month ago I have yet to see it. Kevin Willams should not lie to guests, it doesn't look good for your company.
Also if you need more towels while staying, be prepared to make multiple calls and wait over an hour for someone to deliver them.
Ill definitely be staying somewhere else when I return to D.C.
Excellent place and highly recommended. It has a good price taking into account the location. It is 5 blocks from a subway station. The room was very comfortable, clean and spacious. The attention of the staff was also very good. The internet connection works perfectly.
Nice hotel but confusing layout..housekeeping does not listen when you say come back..they bombard your room anyway..rooms have a fridge but no microwave..$7.00 for two scrambled eggs..staff not that friendly..valet should be more helpful to visitors that have never been there..no parking for large vehicles..they send you to the basement parking deck..we damaged the roof of our rental and there were no spots for large vans once we got down there..afterward was told to park in front of hotel just not a tourist friendly hotel..I would not choose this hotel if I was to return to DC.
Odd experience and a great training opportunity for the concierge staff in the sky dome lounge area. A group of 5 of us (all 3 DC residents) visited the sky dome lounge and were told that they had room for 3 but not the entire group of 5 of us at the bar. We acknowledged and offered for 2 people to stand as we only intended in having a few drinks. Sadly we were instructed that it was against Arlington code to stand at the bar (first I've heard of this code and have stood at many bars in Arlington). Two of our group were group were staying in the hotel so we left visibly frustrated and opted to have a drink in the lobby bar. Not 5 minutes later one of the wait staff came down to let us know that they miraculously found room for us upstairs. We denied the offer and instructed the staff that being able to identify locals from tourists is critical in a city with as many venues as we have. We have a business reservation for 40 there next month and are debating moving to a more hospital environment. If we keep the reservation, I'll update my review depending on that experience.
Front desk staff was exceptional. The complimentary cookies were delicious! I received text messages asking how my stay was going. Housekeeping did an excellent job as well. The parking lot was extremely tight but everything else was great!
The room we stayed in had a sewer odor that they couldn't explain. The ac barely worked, and the cops were called out there at least 2x during my stay. Hotel front desk very friendly and hospitable though.
Standard rooms are smaller than usual and room temperature was too warm to be in comfortable in during the D.C summer time. Front desk needs training on their customer service skills, they seemed irritated all the time.
Black bugs were crawling on the ceiling and vents, rude service
Usually come back annually for an annual conference - quality of stay has been exceptional as always, delicious cookies
Parking is much cheaper when booked through spothero.
I was only outside and in the lobby, but it looked very clean and welcoming.
Overall service was excellent. My only complaint would be the smell in the lower lobby {garbage sent}.
Great location and accommodations. Great views of DC too. Windows could use a cleaning to better appreciate the views but overall a good stay.
We had a terrific room because we got the view we wanted of the Washington monument and the Capital/Congress.
The staff was super helpful. I ended up at this hotel because of a flight delay. The room was a bit more expensive than I wanted to pay but there weren't many rooms available at that point. The room was clean, if a bit on the older side. The sink was scratch/stained and the shower showed discoloration in the grout but both were clean. It was within easy walking distance to a Wholefoods Market, restaurants, and a mall. I didn't get to check out the pool or exercise room.
Clean and good service. Good conditions to enter the center of DC. There is a subway taxi bus. close. Inexpensive price.
No complaints at all. Overall a nice hotel with great staff and a number of amenities on site.
Coffee in the cafe was absolutely amazing. Great service in there. TV didn t work and I called the front desk, he told me to unplug the TV as that works to reboot it. Idk I just felt like that felled my expectations for the price I paid to stay also there was only one roll of TP and when I called for more the guy brought it up and just walked into the room no knocking or anything that was scary.
Overall a positive experience, though the staff was incompetent and nearly charged me more than double my room price because they confused me with another guest. Don't bother eating or drinking anything in the hotel, it's unbelievably expensive: want to pay ~$18 for an egg breakfast item? How about $11 for a cookie? Be warned that they also charge a security deposit at check-in that ranges from $100 to $150 that they will withhold for up to two business days. With all of that said, the room was clean and the shower worked, so it does function as a hotel after all.
Almost perfect... the maids get a little antsy at 8am...
This place is very nice and you shouldn't have too many problems with it but this is a fair warning: at times your room key might not even work or it might work in certain areas like one room key works in the elevator and one might only work for the room so keep that in mind but everything else is great.
Rooms are nice, wifi works fine, great views, convenient location for visiting DC by metro (and for arriving at the hotel by car), convenient stores and restaurants at the lobby, interesting rotating restaurant at the top of one of the towers and very pricy parking (as everywhere else in DC).
Great rates and the restaurant has the best views of DC. Rooms are clean. Access via car or uber is difficult. Hotel interior is also a maze. Shuttles are good.
Stayed in a lot of Hilton Hotels and this one is just ok. When heading to the airport took their free shuttle. The driver(seemed hispanic)was ranting about hotel customers on how cheap they are with a coworker. When we reach the airport he says we dont drop in Terminal C. Why didnt he tell me this? I would have gotten an Uber. With this unprofessional driver it left a sour taste in my memory as a Hilton Honors member. Such unappreciative employees are hurting the Hilton image.
I stay here yearly. An amazing hotel, friendly staff and each time I request anything, it happens fast. Room service is awesome.
Great suites. Service improved since the last few times I've been there.
Good place to sleep for the night, you have to pay for parking, the room was clean and cozy the only thing missing was a microwave
Comfortable, quiet, and clean. The hotel itself is not "fancy" at all; it is very functional and a fine place to stay for a week. The cleaning staff are a bit overly polite but the administrative, front desk, and special events staff are top notch. The layout of the hotel is extremely confusing, both inside and in the parking areas. Dining options are very limited and expensive. Plan on walking or driving to nearby establishments for most meals.
Pricey but a lovely hotel. Clean rooms quiet comfortable beds. Beautiful views of our nation's Capitol
Everything you would expect from a Double tree by Hilton hotel. Even give you a warm cookie when you book in . Very welcoming
Honestly though, we were eating breakfast and we looked at the bill and one of our family members said the magic word "B.S." (but actually the real word) TO THE BILL becuase we are gold members and hot and cold breakfast came with it but yet there was something about 'Continental' breakfast and had to pay for hot stuff. Anyways when one of our family members said 'B.S' the staff member got heated up and THREATEN to call security over a word!!! That is unacceptable behavior. Staff should NEVER argue back with customers! We talked to the manager and calmed everyone down and everything was good after that. Then the same staff member that had THREATEN us went to another staff and said "That guy said 'BS' so i call security on him. Now that is BS" UNACCEPTABLE. Then another one of our family members goes up to a staff and asked for hot water and the staff goes "go find YOUR OWN waiter" 5 different staff said that! UNACCEPTABLE. What if up with the staff???????? Everyday they have the same breakfast. I WOULD NOT recommend this hotel if u are staying here for a week or more and care about breakfast. Aside from breakfast, ROOM SERVICE. Also UNACCEPTABLE. We called room service for extra towels and shampoo and 40 mins later we received it!! 40 minutes later!! By that time everyone had finish showering!!! UNACCEPTABLE!!! The gift shop, we were going to buy some food and clothes when the staff at the register said "sorry im on my break" What is up with the staff!!! Room cleaning, we had to WAIT AN HOUR for our room cleaning to finish. AT 9PM!! We are tired from walking around dc and want to sleep when THEY HAVENT DONE OUR ROOM YET!!! The only thing we enjoyed was this nice (not to be offensive) senior staff. Everytime we stepped in the hotel, she would greet us and gave us tips on where to go and how to get tickets anf stuff. She was the best out of the whole hotel.
We regret staying at this hotel and wished to stay at Embassy Suites instead. Terrible performance last week. We WILL NOT ever go back to Double tree! Worst hotel ever!!!!!
I usually don't leave any comments at all but this is by far the Worst hotel stay ever, so while I'm waiting over 35 minutes for two extra pillows for my kids to sleep on a pull out sofa I'll write my review . I had too switch rooms due to a leak in the closet where the safe is stored. maintinance came to fix it with a towel. The second room has a loose toilet and sink faucet as well as the toilet tissue rack. The door that separates the two rooms has a wood trim hanging off the walls, I can see exposed nails. Like I said I'm not the complaining type but I couldn't let this one go maybe the 5th floor is just bad luck and the staff isnt serious about there work. Whatever the case I won't be back. P.s. valet was great as is Jennifer and bell man.
Good service, cab rides into the city are upwards of 20.00
The shuttle service is a joke. One time they just left while I was waiting. No warning it was leaving and then another time it was late and never said if it was a mall or airport shuttle. The service was terrible. I would never suggest using the Shuttle and in turn suggest using another hotel if you want to be near services and transportation
Bar staff is slow and unattentive. Front door staff is rude
Attended for a job fair. Fair was less than half the size advertised. The hotel seemed to lack a large enough event space for a full job fair, though several events were going on at the same time. Hotel was a bit hard to navigate as well, though otherwise seemed like a fine establishment.
The location was odd and had weird traffic patterns. There is no free parking for drop-in guest but overall the place was very clean and nice. And the staff was friendly.
Nice hotel. Good location. Great staff. Hotel ran out of towels in pool and took a long time to get them.
Room was nice and clean. Our stay was A1, they accommodated us for parking since our vehicle was too tallfor their underground spots. One con, the lobby/check-in counter location could be better identified, coming from the valet parking we had to ask a gentleman since there were no indications that it was located on a different floor.
If you are not lucky enough to find a parking meter the garage is a little pricey in my view. The hotel itself was very beautiful and staff were friendly as well as helpful
Decent experience nothing great wish food and parking were included though
Hotel was great as always. Staff helpful. Food at the restaurant was very good also
Good service. Fast service when I requested to change blankets and fix bathtub.
Great place to stay in, comfortable and fair price.
If I can give this hotel no stars I would. The place was dirty, the a/c and refrigerator was broken. The carpet smelled like dirty feet. The manager on duty that night was rude and disrespectful to my mother.
Clean rooms, convenient location, and very friendly staff who went above and beyond to be helpful and provided excellent service.
Very friendly staff....I love the app where you can check into and out just by the touch of a button. Also the unlocking your room door feature from your phone. The room was clean as well as the bathroom. No issue here. The only issue was that the Superdome wasn't open...which is to be expected with Covid going on. Overall...I'd come back to stay again.
Grungy and rundown. Power outlet hanging loose from the wall, tub clogged, router hanging in closet put out bright green flashing light all night despite closet doors being closed. We paid for an upgrade to get a room with a view of the Washington monument but the old double pane aluminum windows were fogged between the glass and we couldn't see anything.
I really like the DoubleTree in Crystal City! The rooms are basic, but they're always clean and well maintained. The food is pretty good as well. A nice selection, but not an inordinate amount. The nail shop downstairs is fantastic!
Got a great deal through Hotwire, else I feel everything in Crystal City is expensive... the staff was great and I especially liked the coffee available in the room. The people at front desk were really hospitable.
The rooms are dated, the food is to-do, BUT the service is FANTASTIC!
I would never ever stay here again. Service was terrible ,parking was 37 a night but there was no spaces available it took me 30 min to find parking manager was no help all he says is he will take care of things but never do took 5 calls and 2 front desk visits to get extra blankets I was very unhappy with my weekend stay I thought u get Wat u pay for in this case I guess not
Me and two of my friends stayed over Veteran s Day weekend and had a great experience!
The room was pretty spacious and had a good size sectional. It was clean for the most part, but had a bit of dust by the night stand where the telephone is. I was a bit disappointed that there wasn t a freezer section in the fridge. Also, our first night there was no hot water which was being worked on but had no problems after that.
Overall it s a gorgeous hotel! Wasn t expecting this doubletree to look like this as I ve seen others which wasn t the most attractive. Oh yea and the view from the Skydome is amazing!
Very comfortable hotel. Great bed, and pillows. Upscale bathroom. I hate the key locked elevator
This place was nice. The staff was pleasant, and room service breakfast was good enough to hit the spot. Free in room Coffee with all the fixings, and a Fridge and bar area. This place made us sign a NO PARTIES waiver upon check in. Though our table in our dining room seated 6. Bummer we couldn t have friends over.
Very good hotel. Highly recommend. Stayed for one night before my flight from Reagan Airport. Has shuttle service going from hotel to the airport and the other one to the shopping center. Very convenient.
Has a pool and a very nice restaurant on the top floor, with very nice views.
Great hotel with easy access to the Pentagon. Room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. Only issue was with the wifi trying to login with my hhonors info. Breakfast buffet is a bit overpriced too.
Everything is excellent especially though Skydome is rockfish
Large conference room overlooking the Pentagon. The catering was average at best.
Very nice hotel, spacious conference rooms and plenty of parking
Clean rooms and very modern. Excellent service, but the internet is slower than a tar serum
Beautiful
Friendly helpful staff
Hotel is fine, parking is NOT!
I booked through a 3rd party booking site and after my stay I noticed a $78 surprise charge for parking. I checked my confirmation email from the booking site and no mention of parking. Hilton authorizes these sites to book so they should also make sure they are giving all the information they would on the Hilton site (Common sense?). When I checked in I was asked if I was going to Valet or self-park. I told them I would self park but no mention of the charge. ANYWHERE, EVER. As another reviewer stated, the lack of disclosure is shady and I can't believe there aren't more complaints. As many visitors are in the D.C. area, this verbal and written disclosure is paramount. Not everyone is accustomed to paying crazy amounts for parking. Paying to stay at a hotel should get you a place to park, it's like that everywhere else I have stayed and because it's again, common sense.
I Love Double Tree (who doesn't like cookies?) but I won't be staying at this one again.
The reason for the 5 stars is because of the bellman "Tyrone". I was there in late July of this year and I must say this is why you would come back. My room was fine, but nothing special ;I had no complaints about the property . When you walk in the bellman are the first to greet you and seem happy to see you coming . Tyrone was sooooo knowledgeable about directions around town and helped coordinate enough taxi's to transport our large group around town. It was pouring raining and I forgot to pack my umbrella ,but Tyrone came through and let me borrow one from the hotel ;I returned it upon my departure. It's the small details not just the warm chocolate chip cookies that make a difference. It's the people that build a brand and I must say that I would be back just because of Tyrone. Thank you Tyrone for showing me and my family the royal treatment.
Unfortunately I am not able to stay here so this will not be a stay review but a customer service review. My father passed just 5 days before Christmas and I had reservations to stay at this hotel starting the day after Christmas for a personal getaway. Due to the unforeseen circumstances I had to cancel my trip to be with my family during this trying time and conduct my fathers funeral. I booked though a third party and they were handling all communication for me to cancel my reservations and get a refund. I was informed this afternoon that the doubletree would cancel my reservations but would not provide a refund. I understand that the policy was stated as non refundable but due to the situation I figured this could be a one time courtesy. I m hurt that under the circumstances the customer service could not make an exception.
The rooms are decently nice, and so are the bathrooms. But, I would prefer the walls to be more soundproof. With our room booked near the elevator, I have woken up many times to hear people talking while waiting for the elevator to arrive.
Staff was great. Room was awesome. Breakfast in the dining hall was great. Dinner up in the SkyDome restaurant was fantastic. Would totally return
