DoubleTree Crystal City Review

Our room wasn't ready when we checked in but they just switched out rooms to a slightly better one and offered us the full buffet breakfast in the morning all free of charge

This hotel needs some major Renovations at one time it was a wonderful place to be but now it's starting to be really dated

The room is very clean, the beds and pillows are cozy, and the bathroom amenities are very calming.
Oh, and the cookie was great!

Donovan at the front desk is awful

Had to have room keys remade multiple times. Long wait for towels.

Housekeeping and security were very nice. However the front desk staff has a nonchalant and nasty attitude along with the operators. So I ll nonchalantly take my business to Marriott and Hyatt

My room was fairly messy once I had gotten into the room itself, but breakfast and service was very nice.

Our stay was very lovely. They quickly accommodated us to a king room with no problems after one party member could not make it.

We used it for parking and shuttle service to Reagan, it was fast cheap and easy.

Did not have usual assortment of amenities in rest room. Shuttle bus only stopped at 2 locations, even though front desk said they would take us to a restaurant

Terrible experience, the lack of customer service is evident. The check in was slow and painful. They don't care about people or humanity. I dislike the service, people and hotel. There were roaches all over and the sky dome was small. They won't let you see it if you don't eat there.

I was super excited to stay here for the first time July 17-19. Love the hotel, bed, shuttle and everything else but the service in the hotel was the worse. This was suppose to be a GREAT weekend filled with family and great times, more like how much is the hotell going to get on my nerves, argue with me or just not pay any attention at all. 80% of the customer service was great the other 20% made my trip one of the worse. I wasn't with a small group it was at least 100 of us there. Not sure how they normally handle large parties but not allowing someone to eat dinner without a ticket and argue with us after we paid because the server gave our tickets to someone else. No one apologized for anything, they were rude, refuse to serve us, then claimed nothing to drink came with meal. It was a crazy night and was uncalled for how rude the staff was.

Clean rooms, great location. Customer service was fast, thorough and professional.

5 because they have a great gym for a hotel. Clean rooms, convenient and again, I would stay here for the gym. Didn't have to run 1.4 miles down the road to LA Fitness.

This was a really good hotel. It has pool and the rooms are very pretty, it has a wonderful view that I don t think I ll ever forget. Although I only started there for 4 nights with my friends I don t think I ll ever be able to forget it. I really hope I can come back one day it d be a dream come true.

My complaint is about the room we got a king bedroom suite( if you hear that you would think you are getting a larger room but nooo it's about the size of a regular room.the king bed sits on a queen bedroom suite foundation(LOL) I mean who does that?
The furniture needs to be updated asap worst than a motel. The bed is so hard and uncomfortable, the sleeping sofa is uneven old and stains all over the cushions, the chair that's in the room was the most unacceptable thing in the room it had massive huge stains all over, the carpet had stains all over too and it's a dark color carpet. If you are able to see stains in a dark carpet and the hotel is uncapable of shampooing or spending couple dollars to clean it makes me wonder what else is in there that I can't see. The bathroom door is so narrow that my wheelchair wouldn't even fit so if you are larger person you wont be able to use the bathroom you wont make it trough the door.
Don't waste your money on the breakfast buffet.
There no way that this is a double tree by hilton.

Amazing hotel with wonderful customer service and beautiful views. Shuttle to metro and airport.

We watched the DC fireworks from our room. Prices were high for sodas and water. Bed was comfortable and room was clean.

Doubletree have got customer service down to the T! From the great warm cookie at check in, to the bed which is just awesome! (I want one for home!!)

With the complimentary shuttle from Reagan Airport, and to the nearest Metro Station, this hotel is situated ideally. Only 10 minutes from Washington centre, what more could you want?

Pairing this with the huge savings that you get from not being located in Central Washington, I will return here on my next visit again.

I never ate at the restaurant on site, and there wasn't much nearby (10 min walk minimum) but being a metro ride away from the city centre, this wasn't a problem for me.

The room was a good size, with a coffee maker, and iron/board. Clean and Tidy with a huge comfortable bed.

Would stay here again on my next visit to DC

Last minute stay due to cancelled flight. Air system was loud and the toilet tank would run unless you took the lid off. Beds were comfortable and room was clean.

Accommodations were good. Rooms were clean and spacious. A really nice feature in the room: USB charging ports next to the bed. Good location.

Was there for a business meeting. All of the staff was very helpful.

We reserved a parking location. Directions were pretty straightforward into the self parking area and frequent airport service shuttles were handy!

This is a DoubleTree in Crystal City. Today I heard a story, and I have yet to confirm its veracity, that Crystal City got its name from airline pilots flying in and out of Reagan airport. Appearently the broken glass littering the area was significant enough that the pilots could see it reflecting light from the air, making it look like crystal. Pretty interesting.

Loved the shuttle service; made getting around so much easier

The hotel is finely situated in the middle of the city.

Presidential suite is excellent. A bit dated, but very enjoyable. The Skydome restaurant is worth a visit. Parking is a bit pricey, along with room service - but it was well worth the expense! Very pleasant staff and comfortable accommodations.

Stay here if you would like to cuddle up with bed bugs at night.

God forbid you report it, as they will send Sandy Dalton of security to your room to degrade you and accuse you of bringing them into the property, saying it "Wasn't the hotels problem, that the customers bring them with them." That was an interesting philosophy as co travelers had photographed bed bugs in their room immediately below the room the complaint was made.

Never once did the General Manager, Dori, care to speak to my wife or myself after voice messages and messages left at the front desk. My wife has several BITES from her stay.

The only just recourse is that the Health Department listened and is investigating the issue.

Nice hotel, nice rooms.Didn't get a coffee maker in the room. Nice restaurant upstairs with good drinks. But didn't asknowledge our deal on $$$ of on Skydome.

We have stayed here twice and it's been great. Beds are super super comfortable and bathroom so updated.. Walk to mall and lol shops, Must stay.

Great hotel close to DC and has the metro close and crystal city the shopping center all within less then a mile.

We had a reunion held here. The pool was not in working order and we were not notified until check in. Other than the kids not being able to swim, the stay was great, the rooms were clean and the cookies were a nice touch.

I have to say every hour thing about it. People are so nice. Polite, caring and warm. They helped to take luggages into the room and out when checked out. The guy asked multiple questions just in case we got everything before we checked out. Room is super clean. I can tell the sheets were changed every day and the trowels as well. The breakfast is wonderful! I had for breakfast totally and loved everything there. The pancake is the best. My favorite absolutely. We went there during Christmas time so the price is great. Overall, it was great experience!

Everything is Sounds Good, But when you are looking for Parking then, you are stuck. Few limited Parking around. Some of Paid Parking spot usually Pack. Anyways that's my experience when I went attend conference.

I was overall happy with my experience. Even though the hotel was out of double bed rooms which I booked, they switched my friend and I to a suite. It was a comfortable experience and the staff was very Polite. The gripes I have are firstly the parking. It is next to impossible to maneuver your car around their parking lot everything is so tight and packed. On top of that my key card didn t work for parking lot access so I had to stay in line hold everything up and get my card Re scanned which was very annoying. In addition at the end of the stay they told me I owed 39.99 per night for parking fee. Uhm heck no lol no one told me about this ahead of time otherwise I would not have stayed at the hotel. I protested this charge and got it free because that was the right thing to do. That s like if you go to a restaurant and they also expect you to pay for the silverware when you eat the food. Be careful and don t let them get the better of you but enjoy your stay.

It is not fare that they charge $37 for a one night parking.

The skydoom restaurant was expensive and the food was gross to me. Highly disappointed. Only good thing there was the view.

Bed was nice and pool was good as well. Don't go I you want the breakfast to be good there.

Great location near Pentagon City Metro and Mall. Convenient for running on the Mt Vernon Trail.

The hotel staff was kind and courteous and the rooms were clean. Check in and check out was fast and trouble free, and they even provide warm chocolate chip cookies at your request. The in-house Cafe serves a tasty breakfast also. Location wise, it's within walking distance of two Metro stations and is conveniently located near the Reagan airport.

The staff was knowledgeable, courtesy, and went above the call of duty. Room was adequately clean for a hotel and the cost was very reasonable. They bribe you with warm cookies at check-in, fair warning.

Horrible don't stay here ... the room is either hot or cold . There was holes in the walls . The house keeper just let herself in while we were dressing without knocking ... the service is horrible the maintenance guy was just rude and disgusting ... and they never gave me back the money that had to be held

I think its ridiculous that its 40.00 a night for parking even if your staying in a room. That is outrageous!

The Doubletree is a nice hotel located in Crystal City very close to the Pentagon. It has easy access to National Airport and a shuttle that takes you to and from the airport as well as to and from the Metro. I stayed in a suite room that was well suited for what I needed for this trip. Friendly staff and clean and nice location.

A nice hotel in Crystal City surrounded by other well-known hotels in the area. Nice staff who are approachable. Hotel is spacious. Food is good. Bring your walking shoes as local favorites are not too close. The Crystal City Mall is one place as well Pentagon City- must see for any visitor

The experienc with parking staff was unpleasant and expensive. I was not to pay parking with the event I attendant but the parking assistant inssited I pay and would not return keys to either car. Could not find luggage carts as needed.

Despite the slightly rude front desk clerk, the place was what I expected it to be. Housekeepers somehow knew what I needed the most the next day and gave me extra of those. I didn't have to call them to request for it.

We rented a room for four. The room is clean, quiet, the beds are very comfortable, the garbage in the room was cleaned daily. Toothbrush and toothpaste are not provided, only shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap. Parking costs $ 39 per day (for hotel guests included in the room rate). Near a large grocery store Whole food , where you can have breakfast, lunch or dinner is not expensive. Loved the area.
