The room we stayed in was clean. They were sanitizing everything with lysol in response to covid . The staff were friendly and professional, check in was quick and easy. Checking out was as simple as giving the key cards back. The bed and pillows were perfect for me , soft but still very supportive. Everything was quality as you would expect from a Hilton hotel

I often stay here while working in Kamloops. The staff are very helpful and rooms are comfortable.

Well located and reasonably priced. There are lots of eating joints nearby offering good Indian food.

Clean, although the mattress used in the fold out bed was terrible. I could feel ridges from every spring.

Large, clean rooms with comfortable beds. Nice decor. Pet friendly at a reasonable charge. Lots of goodies in the room too... Tea, coffee, kettle, shoe shine wipes and makeup removing wipes in addition to the basic toiletries. I was a little bit annoyed by the lack of microwave, but hey, no biggie.

They even offered fresh, warm cookies at check in. Unfortunately I had to decline as they contain dairy, but it was a nice touch none the less.

It's in a great area of town and within walking distance to many restaurants, stores and attractions. Would definitely stay here again.

Friendly workers. Clean room. I am not sure about breakfast since I did not have it. I remember the worker said its 15 plus tax. Pool was closed for seasonal cleaning. Gym is open 24 hours. When you check it, you get warm cookies as a small gift. There are apples for you to take in the front area. The sound isolation could be a concern to some people. Its easy to hear what neighbours are talking about. My neighbours were not loud at night but I guess some people can be loud. Parking lot seems a bit small for SUVs. But parking is free. All you have to do is give them your license plate number and they will give you a pass. Just park wherever you want in the front. It seems there are enough parking spots. I did not have trouble finding parking spots. There is a liquor store right beside which is nice. On Saturday, there is a farmers market which occurs one block distance from the hotel which is nice. Location is nice since the downtown is in walkable distance. One thing I had issue with was the ice maker makes a big noise time to time. However, the front desk was happy to exchange me the room since there were rooms available. Another thing that I noticed was that the elevator button lights do not light up for some reason. Not sure why, but it works. Anyways, its a good place to stay.

Had to pop in and get help because of vehicle problems. The staff were incredibly helpful and kind. Their assistance got us sorted and on our way super fast.

Nicely updated rooms. Reasonable meeting rooms, however food options and availability were lacking.

Attended a volunteer dinner, it was good, hotel seemed very clean and upscale. Very professional and polite staff.

Room 410. Massive room destroyed by constant elevator noise and the water drainage pipes are right by your head. Sounds like a bathtub draining all night. Like the style and service but this room should never be a hotel room. Meeting room maybe

The room did not include a bathtub, nor a hair dryer. These items should have been identified as not included. The room next to us seemed to be having a party at 5:30 in the morning. Waking us up with laughing and voices. Coffee and tea offered in the room were undrinkable. I expect more from a Hilton Hotel as a Hilton Honours member.

Our stay was amazing, great place to be. The bed was comfortable, and the cookies were delicious as always. The staff we're really helpful as well.

Decent hotel, not great. Modern rooms but small. Bathroom is very small. Onsite restaurant is closed most of the time except breakfast but there is a bar with a limited menu

Nicely renovated. Had a king bed. Bathroom is a bit small but well done.

The boardrooms were clean, well kept and clearly marked. Easy for attendees to find their way around. Hotel staff was helpful and informed enough about the event to provide assistance when and where needed.

I had really bad experience at this hotel, i booked 2 room but they said that they had reserved only one. They charged me for 2, will take further legal actions over this place

Good place for some drinks after work. They have a great selection of local wines.

Had a nice stopover here on the way to Banff. Has a great little restaurant, is walking distance to the park on the river, and you even get a discount at the liquor store right next to the hotel!

Wifi will not allow you to use social media...not what I expected from the Hilton.

Room was nice, and the service from the staff was excellent. However the walls were uninsulated, so anything said in the adjacent rooms could be heard. Also, the bed and pillows were quite uncomfortable.

Lisa at front desk is a wealth of local information and Claudio will fill you up with all the coffee and breakfast you can handle.

It was a bed for the night whilst we waited for the Rock mountineer train the next morning.

5his is a MOR HOTEL with limited facilities. It is clean and 5he staff are friendly. The restaurant , falsely in my opinion claims to offer a fine dining experience. From a limited choice I ordered corn chowder the last batch had just run out. opted instead for lentil soup which was disgusting and immediately returned. my battered Atlantic cod was dull and grey. This far from fine dining. Breakfast was surprisingly pleasant.

This was my first stay as diamond member with Hilton. I decided to try this hotel other than the other two hotel chains I usually stay with which I also have top elite membership with.

It was just a very short overnight stay. I will start with the pros then describe the problems I encountered.

The hotel facility itself is great. I'm not familiar with Kamloops so not sure about the location but it seemed to be conveniently located and close to the highway.

The check-in experience was nice with complimentary warm fresh cookies, bottles of water, and a welcome card. Check-in staff and breakfast staff were pleasant and friendly.

The room was clean and well maintained.

The most concerning problem was that I had requested for late check-out at 2pm. I was driving across provinces and needed a good rest. I was up very late finishing some work. Unfortunately for whatever reason, even though I had the Do Not Disturb sign on, housekeeping staff still decided to knock on my door at 11am and even opened the door. This was obviously very upsetting. I couldn't go back to sleep so just got up and went on the road later on without much rest.

Some other annoyances were: 1) I had the most basic room type and unfortunately did not get any upgrade despite being a diamond member, so the room was small, 2) the wifi internet (tried both the regular wifi and the supposed premium internet for diamond members) was poor in my room so I had to connect my laptop to my cellphone to use the internet to get some work done, 3) the Kleenex box was already almost empty when I checked in, 4) there was a black stain of a few cm on the blanket, 5) see the photo regarding the cream for coffee and the stir stick.

So basically, most of the experience was quite poor, with one problem after another. This was far from a good first experience as a diamond elite member with Hilton. Quite disappointing.

Addendum Sept 24: after making the complaint, the hotel staff did very promptly respond and handled the matter very well. I would give this hotel a try again in the future if in the area.

Overall my experience was really nice. The hotel room was beautiful and very clean. The location of the hotel was also awesome as its walking distance from a lot of tourist attractions.
But I was a little thrown off by some of the staff additudes, along with lack of information. For breakfast I didnt see any signs to wait for seating so I proceeded to the buffet , later finding out that breakfast wasn't included for my $180.00 dollar room, oh well no big deal. I just wish that a little more information was provided when I checked in.

But overall I would come back for sure.

The lady at the front desk was friendly and helpful. Such a pleasure to deal with her. I believe her name was Lisa. So professional, yet easy-going.

Check in was very easy and our room was ready early. The staff was very friendly. Our room was very clean and extremely comfortable. I would stay here again.

The location is extremely nice, being near the main stretch of restaurants. Everything is new and modern, and the rooms are clean and relaxing.

What a modern, clean and professional oasis in Kamloops!

Stayed in one of their HHonours rooms. Nice, big, comfortable bed, good shower, small signs of wear. The gym is small, but adequate, and the pool has a beautiful view. The staff are quite nice, as well.

During our BC/Alberta road trip, Hilton Hotel Kamloops gave us only a 3 stars impression among all other hotels that we stayed.

1) Parking: parking was full when we arrived at night. We need to park across the street. Although it is free, but it is still not very convenience for all of us

2) Swimming Pool: There is an outdoor pool but it is dated. There is no towel for us to use. When we asked the front desk for more towel, it took them around 20 min to get.

3) Wifi: The internet is slow compare to other hotels we stayed.

Had some issues with check in, clerk was professional and helpful although it took a few attempts to correct. Hotel is conveniently located in town. Hotel rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel requires a parking pass for vehicle, so when I arrived later at night and lugged my bags in I was not happy I had to go back out to put a tag on the dash. There needs to be a more noticeable signage that you need a pass. Usually registration of your vehicle when you check in is sufficient

Updated April 2018 - stayed here again, signage fixed and hotel app was clear about parking. I would have given more stars but WiFi was not working and I normally don't even watch TV, but with no internet I tried watching but the only channel that works is the guide. The rest of all the channels says "scrambled" well at least the cookie was nice.

Our experience could not have been better!!!! Staff was wonderful. The hotel is within walking distance to just about everything. We had a great time exploring all the little shops downtown. The rooms are clean and the overall atmosphere was great. I would definitely stay here next time I'm in Kamloops!

This hotel is the best hotel you will find for customer service! All the staff is very friendly, especially Lisa! Rooms are clean, food is great, and location is awesome! Highly recommend!!!

My car was vandalised in the hotels parking lot and they have no videos monitoring the parking lot.

The food was okay, nothing special. But the people watching was spectacular!

A comfortable stay both times!
Being HHonors members, we got a room on the top floor, which was nice. The reception staff were welcoming and the process was painless. The rooms were very clean and rather spacious, which was a bonus given the amount of luggage we had. We stayed two times, once at the beginning of the trip and once at the end and both times we were impressed. The beds are as comfy as ever (a reason why I love the doubletree brand), and the hot cookie on arrival always makes me smile. Whether you're passing through Kamloops en route to The Rockies, or staying a while, this place should be very high on your list! A great stay!

Worst WiFi ever. Can't Skype can't have WebEx meetings or even maintain a VPN. So much for being productive, better WiFi going to a restaurant down the block. Can't stay here again with this flakiness ...enjoy your stay.

Comfortable and clean. Easy to get to restaurants. Only set back is that the parking is a little too easy to access from the street.

The Doubletree has been newly refurbished and a very pleasant hotel to visit period I wish I had had more time to explore the amenities. The main floor Lounge looks particularly inviting. The meeting room our function was in was clean and smart and our event was accommodated well.

I did not stay at the hotel. Just went for job fair.
