I wouldnt even give this place a star!

I was a employee at Doskocil petmate, an I tell you what. If you worked in the higher office, oh there treated great. The production workers are treaded like sh*tt, the receiving side is all f*cked out of order. You could be a hard working tool setter for 10 years, then get fired over a petty excuse. "To set an example", that's there excuse. I quit my job as a tool setter, due to the lack of respect that they have in there employees. No appreciation, just looks at you like a number.

I didnt want to dedicate myself to a job, that dont appreciate their employees.
Theres few good supervisors out there that looked out for you, so don't get me wrong. There was lot More Crooked ones, with favoritism puppies on their side.

That my opinion on Doskocil

Large breed dog cages are a total rip off.. Cheap plastic trays, the bottom bars wore through the plastic in less than one month of overnight sleeping. Then dog seen the whole and shredded the floor and the carpet in our living room before we woke up!!!!!!!!!!!! 90 dollars for a cage that is costing us now over 1000 dollars to get our carpet replaced!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Only good for small light breeds buyers beware!!!!!!

I ordered a "bleached linen" ultra vari kennel crate from Amazon and it kept coming in taupe! Apparently the new color that they call "bleached linen" does not reflect the actual picture on Amazon s or petmate's site! This is unfortunate as I was trying to match older crates by getting bleached linen.

I contacted customer service at petmate and they finally figured out their website was wrong as they changed the color of the small ultra vari kennel but not the name of the color yet, they refused to post my review.
So, I ended up with taupe kennels called "bleached linen". And now my kennels don't match!

The arrogance of a company that only posts positive reviews.

I brought one of your pet taxies and it went together pretty easily until you put the screws in to hold it together. For one several of the holes where the screws go were not punched thru the bottom part of the carrier. My brother had to punched the holes in the bottom part of the carrier. I paid nearly $20 for one and it was not easy to put the screws in. The next one I buy I will be looking at it more closely.

Purchased Arm & Hammer Drawstring Liners for jumbo litter pans, eight count, activated baking soda. WAY TOOOOOOO THIN! They broke as soon as we TRIED to lift them up out of the litter boxes. We have four cats. Two have their front claws. Disastrous! The liners ripped instantly as soon as the cats started pawing the litter. A couple of the draw string broke through the ridges while lifting the bag from the litter box. Another one tore when I placed it down on the steps before throwing it into our trash bin. VERY DISAPPOINTED and surprised that Arm & Hammer added their name to the product.

I have 3 dogs ranging in size from 45-75 pounds, who are all crated when I'm not home. My 45 pounder has destroyed 2 of these crates! The first one lasted a year before she pulled up the bottom of the front panel and escaped. I should have spent more money on a better crate, but I needed it immediately. She has now somehow figured out how to pull the whole front panel in! I came home to my living room destroyed AGAIN! I **LOATHE** THIS CRATE!!! If you have a crazy dog, do not buy this crate!!!!

I bought a dog run from Academy. When I got the HUGE and HEAVY box home and tried to assemble it I found that two pieces were missing from a factory sealed box. I was told by the customer service rep that the parts come from China so if I take pictures of the partially assembled dog run and my receipt that I would get a refund. Several weeks later....(after purchasing a much better quality dog run) The replacement part appeared on my door step and they refuse to refund my money. The dog run is of HORRIBLE quality. The frame pieces bend easily and the chain link is the poorest quality that I've ever seen. This company has terrible customer service and does not stand behind its products.

I had placed an order for 6 items for my new puppy. When the page came it was missing one item. I called the support line and after a brief hold I was conectes to a support agent based in the USA. They where supper friendly and explained that the item was not in stock at the time and I was not charged. She stated it was back in stock and expressed shipped to me the next day. It was a fast \ easy to get my issue resolved and I wish every customer service # was this helpful. They have gained a customer for life.
