After Peak Living bought out my complex, the rent for a 1 bedroom apt (750sq ft, 1-year lease) has increased 45% for new tenants.
I was paying $1030 total for a one bedroom 750sq ft, 12/mo in a lease that would've ended February 2021 (water, trash, pest control, everything included)
Now they want over $1500 for the same apartment as a baseline price that doesn't include water. Market rent is high, but it's not this high anywhere else in my region.
Peak Living also removed one of the biggest perks of living at my complex: Water included in the rent. ConService will now manage our utilities.
I have only heard bad things about this company. We are now charged $16 for a liability waiver, an extra $5 per month for even using ConService, and an unknown amount for the actual utilities.
Water used to be $56 and I am given no answers in how much it will be now. We have to wait and see.
The Peak Living team has been very forthright with me on what to expect moving forward, but I do not have confidence that this will be an affordable home for much longer.
I advise anyone who is thinking of moving into a Peak Living-operated complex to make a very concise list of questions and be deliberate with your needs/budget. Do your research and pay close attention to everything before you sign a lease.
I had concerns during my application process for one of their complexes and peak living was able to resolve my concerns in a respectful and timely manner. I am in awe on how diligent and open they were to help me.
This review is for Royal Oaks in Eagan MN. I am a current resident at this property and I recently submitted a maintenance request. The service techs Aidan and Bee were out the very next day and fixed all the maintenance requests! I was pleasantly surprised on how fast they accommodated my request and how courteous and professional those guys are. They really did a great and job and make you feel like your a priority and not just a numbered resident. Definitely a great plus to living here at Royal Oaks.
The new maintenance man Greg Castro does the job of at least three men he is the most amazing maintenance man they have ever had he is efficient professional and he puts his heart and soul into everything that he does I ve never in the six years that I ve lived here ever seen the property look as good as it looks thanks to him, I truly believe the man is not getting enough money I know that he deserves a raise , do whatever you need to do to keep him on this property so that it can continue to look as good as it looks because without him I do believe the place would go to hell thank you Greg for all your hard work and service that you do for this property and for us I appreciate everything you do. You are the best
But they're fixing things. They took out the pool and fireplaces don't work the playground was fixed up I think it's only 2 bdrms or 3 pay over phone for rent
This company do not pay their vendors. Do not work for these people. I had to hire my attorney to get my invoices' paid. Very unprofessional want return calls or emails. When a vendor works hard providing a service to a complex and not get paid for it is sad. I reached out to Problem Solvers as well. The Creeks of Gladstone is a horrible place to live and work for. Sent several emails for Peak Living and can not get a response.
I have invoices that goes back to June. .... What kind of morals.. DONT LIVE HERE OR WORK HERE!
I love working for Peak Living. It genuinely tries to take care of both its residents and its employees. The vast majority of the people I've worked with at Peak Living are very friendly and willing to help out. I've seen many employees go above and beyond to keep the properties running smoothly. Peak Living is not perfect, but as far property management companies go, it is among the best.
The property I lived at was decent until Peak Living took over and then it quickly went downhill. The manager was absolutely horrible. She was extremely rude and unhelpful. There were always huge piles of garbage near the dumpsters, which were rarely emptied. The sidewalks were never shoveled in the winter and the parking lot was always icy and quickly became full of potholes. Police were constantly there investigating illegal activity. It used to be such a good property before Peak Living took over. I moved out as soon as I possibly could.
The worst place to rent off of rent it off of them in Uniontown management there was terrible stuff was stolen did nothing to do anything for the tenants!!
