Dorint Hotel Dresden Review

Nice, cozy rooms. Great breakfast. Nice, friendly staff. We felt comfortable, gladly again next time.

We (2Erw.1kind) came across by chance on an offer of this hotel and wanted to test it although the renovation work (at the time in the spa area) was pointed out. We would not be disappointed. There are several parking facilities, a private underground car park, a parking lot behind the house or in the side street next to the hotel. We chose the latter because it is the cheapest park here. We were received very nice. The room was really big and spacious so the buggy, the suitcase and the travel cot fit in without any problems. It had always been cleaned very clean the cleaning service was always very friendly. Even the cot from our little one was straightened (teddy bear nicely set, sleeping bag and pajamas laid over the edge of the bed). Our room was facing the street, we did not even feel disturbed by the traffic. You can get to the zoo or the city within a few minutes (5-10). By train it is a bit faster, which is also right in front of the house. There is a bar, where you can eat in the evening or a la carte restaurant. -We were eating out every night. The breakfast was great! Something for everyone, hot / cold, sausage / cheese, cereal / yoghurt, salty or sweet. The coffee is brought to the table if you want. Very friendly service here too! Dogs are also welcome in this hotel, which we will try on our next city break directly. Will definitely dorint again, also in another city! From the renovation work, we did not notice anything! Thanks for the nice time!

Super friendly staff and rooms are nicely decorated. Beds really comfortable and location was great. Best breakfast selection I have ever seen and really delicious!

Nice hotel, clean and large rooms, friendly service in the restaurant. Good breakfast, smiling chef, attentive staff. Arrogant receptionist who fortunately cannot spoil the good feeling of the hotel. Certainly recommend and feel free to come back

We had a wonderful stay at the Dorint Hotel in Dresden. There is really nothing to complain about! The staff is extremely friendly, the rooms are impeccable, the hotel is overall very well maintained and the breakfast was great. Many thanks to the entire team of the Dorint Hotel!

Room service could be improved but overall it's decent

Staff is really nice and attentive, good breakfast but the room needs a lot of DYI and is very much outdated.

It was a great time the food counter was delicious and the swimming was fun too it was a great time

The food was delicious. The chef made it possible to get a soup, although not in the buffet was set up.
Room comfortable and clean.
Unfortunately wellness and fitness temporarily not feasible, however, is new and is more beautiful. The compensation was the proximity to all attractions.

Staff in the "spa" was relatively rude. Bad in the room has its best times for a long time behind. Could not recommend the hotel with a clear conscience.

Lage sehr gut

Rooms are a bit older, but completely OK. Shortcomings: beds were quite short, shower head quite deep and an additional bottle of water for four days is not included. Breakfast starts at 6:30, but fried sausages are only served shortly before seven.
But these are small things, otherwise everyone is very nice and the breakfast is great overall

We were actually very happy with the Dorint Hotel and I would probably have given 4 stars, UNTIL an absolutely passive-aggressive lady told us at checkout, we would have parked incorrectly. When asked what she meant, she reacted snappily: we should just have a look at it and that it was impossible.
In fact, another car of the same brand had parked across the parking line. I can't explain why the hotel employee just snaps at any guests on suspicion. Unprofessional and cheeky.

Addendum: Based on my rating, an employee of the hotel called me to apologize for the incident. I appreciate that and upgrade to 3 stars.

The hotel is getting old. But still very neat. It's neat and tidy. The rooms were absolutely fine. Also older but very large and also clean.

The reception at the hotel was very pleasant.

The staff, whether at breakfast, reception, dinner ... seemed very organized and was very nice and helpful.

The location of the hotel is great, a lot is within walking distance. Good shopping possibilities.

I would come again.

The hotel is OK, but in my eyes definitely not a four star hotel. The interior is a little bit dated and if you look closely you see it in things like painted over spots in the bathroom or missing bits in the bathroom tiles.

I've already stayed in a more modern Dorint hotel in Cologne and was a little disappointed in this one.

On the plus side it is located in the heart of the city and you can walk to the Altstadt of Dresden in approximately ten minutes.

Very good central location without parking problems for our van with trailer. Particularly noteworthy is the friendliness of the staff, the rich breakfast, the good kitchen of the restaurant and the good value for money. Praiseworthy is that on the day of arrival 22:15 o'clock opened the kitchen of the restaurant and on Sunday already 6:30 o'clock the breakfast was provided. We will definitely come back to the next fabric market in October. A thank you to our very nice service Mr. Tom Bienert.

The wellness area is being renovated. So no pool or fitness until Feb 2019. So point deduction. Room big enough for 4. 2 adults and 2 children. Bathroom tiles and joints can be made new. Breakfast delicious. Pleasant coworkers.

DZ was ok so far, if extremely dated and for 4 stars very worn. Beds are comfortable, bathrooms adequate - but not really clean, you can see everywhere splashes on the walls (sink / toilet). The trash cans are not More

Very good and centrally located. The old town is within walking distance. Staff are very friendly and helpful. Very good price / performance ratio. Great breakfast room with a very wide offer. Very clean everything. Beautiful wellness area with a large swimming pool and textile-free sauna. Solarium costs 4.20 euros. Massages are also offered. I will gladly come again.

Great hotel great service around a great weekend at the Dorint

Unfortunately no slippers, which I expect with the room prices and 4-stars. Otherwise everything was fine.

I was at the Dorint Hotel for a seminar. The seminar rooms are equipped with everything you need. The only drawback is that you cannot open any windows and the air becomes more and more stuffy despite the ventilation system.
You can see their age in the rooms. They are shabby, the curtains at the "handle points" are ailing. The cleanliness is okay, the bed linen is clean and tidy. The pillows are of reasonable thickness.
Due to the nearby street, it is quite noisy with the windows open.
The food tastes good, and the break meals were great. If you spend a whole week, however, it quickly becomes monotonous. Especially at the evening buffet I missed plain cheese or sausage.

We were here when the heat was huge. Unfortunately, the hotel does not have air conditioning. Therefore, 2 * down. But we were offered a fan. Breakfast is absolute TOP and the staff is very accommodating. Too bad of the heat ...

Pleasant Hotel! Everything in very good condition! Our suite with shower (pre-order !!) was very pleasant, large bathroom and very large shower area. The shower head could be replaced, the water pressure adjusted! Great large beds invite you to sleep

A very good hotel in a central location of Dresden. Everything is right here. Always clean and tidy, the kitchen spoils the guest. If I'm here for business, this hotel is 1st choice for me. My recommendation.

only the location is great. Old renovated until the end of 2019. Inactive swimming pool closed spa gym. Breakfast 19 euro. I advise to book in front of the hotel for half cheaper

Nice hotel. Clean and nice staff. A bit spacious. I expected more breakfast in a four star hotel. Very close to the Altmarkt. Zwinger, Elbe, Frauenkirche can be reached on foot. Nice bar for the end of the day.

When I entered the hotel and, above all, one of the hotel rooms for the first time in almost ten years, I felt like I was traveling back in time. You can tell that Dorint has been around for a few years. Finest nineties standard. But: All of the extra requests I had made before had received attention. And the room was spotlessly clean. After all!
The most pleasant surprise came when I came to the really good breakfast buffet: I haven't experienced such friendly service for a long time. That was really great and made me forget the a little bit aged room in no time. Thanks, I'll be back.

Nice hotel. Very central. Within walking distance is about 10 minutes to the Frauenkirche. Great breakfast. The car can also be parked next to the hotel. 3 euros per day instead of expensive parking fees in the hotel. This hotel is highly recommended. We will be back!

Very nice hotel. Breakfast was good. However, the cold cuts were not varied enough and there were no pepper shakers on the tables.

Super great rooms, value for money top, service very friendly and the cocktails are not bad either. All in all, really great and the location is really great because of the proximity to the center. We will be back.
